A tasty American Cheese Omelette with tasty well done potatoes.
    Joel H.

Most Long Island Diners are pretty much the same... with the same menu, so I like to rate these establishments based on the team working and prompt service. The Carle Place diner seems to have mastered both these items while also serving well prepared, tasty food. I have been coming to this diner since I was a teen. New owners and remodeling but the same view. The diner is big and bright and I was greeted with a hello and smile. I was there as part of a part of two so we had a nice table where we could sit, speak and catchup up. Our waitress greeted us moments after we walked in offered suggestions. Great tasty egg omelette and tasty hash browns. Very easy and very good. I will have to make this shop a more frequently visited spot and and I'm looking forward to some more enjoyable meals. Upon entering I love the old school diner vibe. The service was great. There only issue is attention to details in the kitchen. Not sure where the disconnect was but the orders were not prepared to our request. Instead of sunny up they were over. CBH was under instead of we. Home fries were called instead of hot. Little things like this matter. The banana French toast was good.

Sat down at a table right away. Wasn't too busy which was nice for dinner. It was quiet in there. Waters and menus were handed out right away. Waiter was so sweet and kept coming over refilling water. I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap. They did put tomato's in my wrap when I asked them not to. Fries were so good and not greasy at all. It was delicious! Food came out quick and was hot! Everything was fresh. I would go back again!

High end diner . Nice ambiance. Friendly service. Enjoyed our desserts. Still has juke boxes at tables. Plenty of perking and convenient location.

    The strings in my burger
    Dona F.

The pizza burger was delicious until I found a few strings in it. I know cheese is sometimes stringy but either this was weird cheese or it was just STRING! Of course if couldn't finish it and ordered a sandwich (not meat). When I asked for the check the waiter started to laugh. Just a strange experience

    Greek Salad with chicken

Located not far from our hotel, we wanted something simple and fast for lunch. My daughter knows we like diner food and had suggested Carle Place Diner, so we opted to try it. I ordered a Greek Salad with chicken. As usual, it was a huge salad... too much for me to eat in one sitting. While it was decent enough, the chicken was a bit dry for my liking, and the dressing wasn't anything spectacular (like I've had elsewhere on Long Island). The salad was certainly edible and filled me up, but it was nothing award-winning, either. With so many dining options on Long Island, I think I'll give this place a pass in the future, no matter how convenient it might be.

Typical Long Island diner. Food is okay but I've been to better diners. Very busy given it's near all the shopping malls. Service is fine.

Is this a very busy diner? Every time my husband and I pass it looks deserted.

Very busy diner! I've been coming here for about 2 years and during the week is always busy. Weekends are jammed!

He requested a surprise birthday candle in the cake and they also put it on a plate that says happy birthday. Really nice presentation! He unfortunately didn't love their version of fra diavolo because it has a ton of peppers. Otherwise it was tasty, he just picked out most of the peppers. The seafood in it was cooked well and he said the shrimp was his favorite part. We also added extra tapas - -brussels sprouts (VERY good) -baked clams (these have stuffing with shrimp and a slice of bacon on top. We actually didn't like these, would prefer clams without a pile of stuffing).

I was supposed to transfer at Jamaica but didn't realize until it was too late. Mineola was the next stop, so I got off and waited for my ride to accommodate me. It was hot as balls out and I was thirsty, and the thought of a cold beer while waiting the extra 20 minutes for my ride to get here sounded lovely, honestly. I was a little unsure about sitting at the bar alone at a spot I'd never been to before, but saw there was an outdoor table in the semi shade that I could grab (as long as I was fine with sipping beer out of a plastic glass). In retrospect I should've asked about specials, but I just went with my go-to Heineken which set me back $7. I wasn't mad about it. The bartender was friendly, though I did feel like I kind of interrupted a personal conversation she was having with a man at the bar who seemed to be a local. Can't speak to the food but their menu did look good. Not a bad stop, overall. I feel very recovered.

The garlic bread was delicious, incredibly buttery, all the items in stew were soft but not too soft, and all of them were fantastic.
