Typical Metro area diner. Food was decent - service was a bit questionable, but again I get the NY appeal when it comes to delivering customer service with a notch of attitude... [[HIGHLIGHT]]ambiance was ok[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]... food can be presented better - times are changing and people appreciate a plate that calls attention.

One of us was craving a breakfast diner experience, but we wanted to try somewhere new--someplace we had never been before. So, we headed toward the town of Garden City, and soon enough, we spotted a cozy spot on a corner: Carle Place Diner. From the moment we arrived, it felt inviting. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The diner's art-deco style gave it a nostalgic yet fresh vibe, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy a satisfying meal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The menu was diverse, offering classic breakfast dishes, sandwiches, hearty entrees, and an array of tempting desserts and cocktails. That combination of breakfast with a side dessert and a splash of cocktails was exactly what we were craving. Well not all in one visit. Our service was friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. I ordered the egg white spinach omelet, and it was cooked to perfection. Overall, it was a delightful new find, and we left with a positive dining experien

Most Long Island Diners are pretty much the same... with the same menu, so I like to rate these establishments based on the team working and prompt service. The Carle Place diner seems to have mastered both these items while also serving well prepared, tasty food. I have been coming to this diner since I was a teen. New owners and remodeling but the same view. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The diner is big and bright and I was greeted with a hello and smile.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was there as part of a part of two so we had a nice table where we could sit, speak and catchup up. Our waitress greeted us moments after we walked in offered suggestions. Great tasty egg omelette and tasty hash browns. Very easy and very good. I will have to make this shop a more frequently visited spot and and I'm looking forward to some more enjoyable meals. KUDOs to the team at the Carle Place Diner

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Upon entering I love the old school diner vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was great. There only issue is attention to details in the kitchen. Not sure where the disconnect was but the orders were not prepared to our request. Instead of sunny up they were over. CBH was under instead of we. Home fries were called instead of hot. Little things like this matter. The banana French toast was good.

Very nice. Tea was super hot. Fantastic apple juice and wonderful unsweetened ice tea. Ordered a cheeseburger deluxe it was good burger. Onions rings and French fries were great. Lettuce tomatoes fresh and crisp. Cole slaw was perfect.

Sat down at a table right away. Wasn't too busy which was nice for dinner. It was quiet in there. Waters and menus were handed out right away. Waiter was so sweet and kept coming over refilling water. I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap. They did put tomato's in my wrap when I asked them not to. Fries were so good and not greasy at all. It was delicious! Food came out quick and was hot! Everything was fresh. I would go back again!

High end diner . Nice ambiance. Friendly service. Enjoyed our desserts. Still has juke boxes at tables. Plenty of perking and convenient location.

    The strings in my burger
    Dona F.

The pizza burger was delicious until I found a few strings in it. I know cheese is sometimes stringy but either this was weird cheese or it was just STRING! Of course if couldn't finish it and ordered a sandwich (not meat). When I asked for the check the waiter started to laugh. Just a strange experience

I had to change plans quickly as I looked at the specials they had going on that day wow! We decided to go with the duck and the monkfish main course entrees instead. Life is about making the right choices and this was the best decision I made that day lol! The duck was cooked to perfection soft on the inside crispy on the outside wow! I really like how juicy and fatty the duck was very succulent and delicious yummy. I especially liked the wine sauce on top among taste sweet with a slight tart to it juts the right balance I was impressed. Definitely one of the best duck dishes I've ever had it's a special so I'm not sure if it will be available when you decide to go call ahead would be my suggestion and your best bet. Laslty the side with butter squash was also a delight to eat and treat! Second course was the monkfish which was great as well. It had a slightly Smokey flavor to my pallet and a slight crunch on the outside maybe it was torched or seared not sure. Whatever the case it was a great touch to the dish very tasty and juicy as well. I love the sauce and the sides were great mashed potatoes with broccoli yummy! I highly recommend this place for brunch, lunch, or dinner take your pick. They will not disappoint you at all that's for sure. I'm not sure how this place is in the evening as I've only gone during the day. I hope the chef gets to read this and know his work is appreciated and noticed! The staff and waiters are very accommodating and knowledgeable about the entrees and food in general. Great service and energy I will come again and repeat whenever possible. I liken the music they play in the background it's not too loud and always sets a great tone for the place. The windows bring in great light and the decor is tasteful and elegant gives a bistro vibe to me personally. You might think differently let us know anyway. We were traveling from out of town and meeting up with an old high school friend and Copperhill was the perfect place. They had a menu full of great selections ... from brunchy items to salads/sandwiches and great healthy selections too. Our server Cat D. also did a fine job of keeping us all very happy, she's a great server. I had the shrimp tacos which were very good. My husband and HS friend had the kale salad with a big piece of salmon on top. We all really enjoyed our meal and had plenty of time to catch up with each other. The restaurant itself is very nicely decorated with cool art and flowers/plant life. They did a great job with creating a cool vibe inside. It does get a little loud, so if you're looking for a quiet meal, brunch on a Sunday might not be the place. The restaurant gets pretty crowded.. and for a reason. The restaurant has a beautiful, bright, modern atmosphere that feels much more upscale than its surroundings. Based on other reviews, the standout dishes seemed to be the grilled Spanish octopus and the SB Smash Burger, so I ordered both. Unfortunately, the execution fell short in several areas. The East Coast oysters arrived with mignonette but without horseradish or oyster forks--small details, but noticeable oversights. The oysters, octopus, and burger were all tasty, but the presentation of octopus and burger was surprisingly sloppy, as though little attention had been paid when the dishes left the kitchen. The bar also was understaffed. A single bartender was serving both the bar and the entire dining room, which led to waits for drinks. My bartender was friendly, attentive, and worked hard, but one person simply wasn't enough. I finished with the Key Lime Custard, which had what appeared to be a layer of shredded cereal on the bottom. I wasn't sure what it was. The dessert itself was enjoyable, though I think a base of toasted sliced almonds with a few fried blueberries on top of it would have added better texture and complemented the flavors more effectively. One nice perk is the validated valet parking, for a reduced fee, which makes arriving and leaving especially convenient given the mall location. The whiskey selection could also be improved by adding a few more interesting, off-the-beaten-path single malts or blends. Overall, the kitchen shows promise! And perhaps I came on an off night. With better attention to presentation, appropriate bar staffing, and a more adventurous choice of spirits, Small Batch could deliver an experience that better matches its reputation.

I was alone and despite being semi-crowded, there wasn't a wait. This place definitely gives a hole in the wall vibe and that's what I wanted. There are plenty of "brunch vibes" in Long Island and that's not what I was looking for today. Service was super prompt and the food came quick, less than 10 minutes. I ordered the Mexican omelette which was eggs, shredded chicken and oaxacan cheese. I expected the chicken and cheese to be cooked into the omelette - it was actually an egg omelette with the chicken and cheese folded inside. No complaints though; when I had enough eggs, I was able to eat just the chicken. It was well seasoned and not doused in cheese, which I appreciated. Note to self: no sour cream next time. It was unnecessary. The omelette came with a side of home fries. The home fries were the perfect mix of soft and crispy, with onions and peppers. They tasted great. It also came with toast and I added avocado, and made avocado toast... YUM. I had an iced coffee on the side. Nothing special about the coffee- not good or bad. They had almond milk and sugar-free vanilla... yay! Lastly, I took a sausage omelette with sweet potato chips to go for my son and he loved it. I would definitely come back. As we started to order our choices they also informed us they had initiated a new Price Fixe menu in case we decided to change. We stuck with our original choices but decided after perusing the Price Fixe menu we have to come back very shortly as it offers a great value.
