Typical Metro area diner. Food was decent - service was a bit questionable, but again I get the NY appeal when it comes to delivering customer service with a notch of attitude... [[HIGHLIGHT]]ambiance was ok[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]... food can be presented better - times are changing and people appreciate a plate that calls attention.

One of us was craving a breakfast diner experience, but we wanted to try somewhere new--someplace we had never been before. So, we headed toward the town of Garden City, and soon enough, we spotted a cozy spot on a corner: Carle Place Diner. From the moment we arrived, it felt inviting. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The diner's art-deco style gave it a nostalgic yet fresh vibe, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy a satisfying meal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The menu was diverse, offering classic breakfast dishes, sandwiches, hearty entrees, and an array of tempting desserts and cocktails. That combination of breakfast with a side dessert and a splash of cocktails was exactly what we were craving. Well not all in one visit. Our service was friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. I ordered the egg white spinach omelet, and it was cooked to perfection. Overall, it was a delightful new find, and we left with a positive dining experien

Most Long Island Diners are pretty much the same... with the same menu, so I like to rate these establishments based on the team working and prompt service. The Carle Place diner seems to have mastered both these items while also serving well prepared, tasty food. I have been coming to this diner since I was a teen. New owners and remodeling but the same view. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The diner is big and bright and I was greeted with a hello and smile.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was there as part of a part of two so we had a nice table where we could sit, speak and catchup up. Our waitress greeted us moments after we walked in offered suggestions. Great tasty egg omelette and tasty hash browns. Very easy and very good. I will have to make this shop a more frequently visited spot and and I'm looking forward to some more enjoyable meals. KUDOs to the team at the Carle Place Diner

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Upon entering I love the old school diner vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was great. There only issue is attention to details in the kitchen. Not sure where the disconnect was but the orders were not prepared to our request. Instead of sunny up they were over. CBH was under instead of we. Home fries were called instead of hot. Little things like this matter. The banana French toast was good.

Very nice. Tea was super hot. Fantastic apple juice and wonderful unsweetened ice tea. Ordered a cheeseburger deluxe it was good burger. Onions rings and French fries were great. Lettuce tomatoes fresh and crisp. Cole slaw was perfect.

Sat down at a table right away. Wasn't too busy which was nice for dinner. It was quiet in there. Waters and menus were handed out right away. Waiter was so sweet and kept coming over refilling water. I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap. They did put tomato's in my wrap when I asked them not to. Fries were so good and not greasy at all. It was delicious! Food came out quick and was hot! Everything was fresh. I would go back again!

High end diner . Nice ambiance. Friendly service. Enjoyed our desserts. Still has juke boxes at tables. Plenty of perking and convenient location.

    The strings in my burger
    Dona F.

The pizza burger was delicious until I found a few strings in it. I know cheese is sometimes stringy but either this was weird cheese or it was just STRING! Of course if couldn't finish it and ordered a sandwich (not meat). When I asked for the check the waiter started to laugh. Just a strange experience

They stick to their traditional roots and put real heart into their food. The home fries are seasoned to perfection--crispy on the edges with a soft, perfectly cooked interior. While the eggs on their own are standard, pairing them with their hollandaise, Canadian bacon and an English muffin turns it into an absolute home run. The real star, though, was the pecan banana bread buttermilk pancakes. I was initially worried it would just be a lazy sprinkling of pecans on top, but I couldn't have been more wrong. The pancakes were pillowy soft with banana chunks inside, and--the ultimate game-changer--served with WARM syrup. Something so simple, yet so rare! Hats off to the chef, owner, line cook. This easily beats any over-hyped "trendy" pancake spot out there. I will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu!

WE WERE OVERCHARGED TWICE BY $10! We ordered two omelets, and our check somehow came to $45 with no itemized breakdown. When we questioned it, our server--a petite brunette woman who appeared to be in her late 20s to early 30s--insisted it was correct. After we pushed back, she claimed she had confused our order with a different omelet. There isn't a single omelet on the menu that costs anywhere close to $22 each, and that excuse makes even less sense considering we were the only customers there. She adjusted the bill to $35, but the total should have been less than that as well. Even then, the tax was still wrong. On top of that, they added a credit card fee without any notice. There was no sign, no mention on the menu, and no warning beforehand. The food was just as disappointing. The home fries were mushy and barely edible. Despite overcharging us more than once, our server NEVER APOLOGIZED! Hidden fees, inaccurate charges, terrible service, and mediocre food--this place is a rip-off, and we definitely won't be back.

My fiance & I ordered two orders of the blueberry pancakes, which was a mistake because of how MASSIVE each order was; we could've easily split one. We also ordered the sides of corned beef hash and ham steak. Highly highly recommend both. The corned beef hash is SO delicious & homemade, and the ham steak is huge! Other than that little bit of confusion, everything else was good. Because the hospital and several doctor's offices are nearby, you'll notice a lot of hospital workers and people in scrubs coming in for breakfast and lunch, which is always a good sign. Walking in, we were greeted right away and told we could sit wherever we wanted. The service was good, and the atmosphere is exactly what you'd expect from a diner classic diner ambiance and casual vibes. The food was definitely yummy overall. I had the eggs over medium with corned beef hash and home fries, and that was really good. My partner had the bacon omelet, and he said the quality of the bacon was really good and that they were generous with the amount they put inside the omelet. He also ordered french fries, which he wasn't really a fan of. They had a thicker consistency and didn't have much flavor, but they weren't terrible either. One disappointment was finding out they no longer serve waffles, because I was definitely looking forward to a Belgian waffle. We ended up getting pancakes instead, and honestly, I wouldn't recommend them. The pancake was kind of weird it didn't absorb the syrup at all, and the syrup itself tasted watered down. I'd say stick to the main breakfast items and you'll be perfectly fine.

I ordered the Mexican omelette which was eggs, shredded chicken and oaxacan cheese. I expected the chicken and cheese to be cooked into the omelette - it was actually an egg omelette with the chicken and cheese folded inside. No complaints though; when I had enough eggs, I was able to eat just the chicken. It was well seasoned and not doused in cheese, which I appreciated. Note to self: no sour cream next time. It was unnecessary. The omelette came with a side of home fries. The home fries were the perfect mix of soft and crispy, with onions and peppers. They tasted great. It also came with toast and I added avocado, and made avocado toast... YUM. I had an iced coffee on the side. Nothing special about the coffee- not good or bad. They had almond milk and sugar-free vanilla... yay! Lastly, I took a sausage omelette with sweet potato chips to go for my son and he loved it. I would definitely come back.
