We live locally and have been frequent flyers at this location throughout the years. Despite having a place in our hearts for Friendlys, this location consistently gets tougher to go to with each visit. The food is always decent, but the prices have become absurd for the portions you're receiving. This most recent visit we got our ice creams in paper cups instead of glass mugs because "none were clean". It took a very long time to get the check and pay the check. We were unable to get refills on our drinks because our server was running around too frantically to check on us. There simply is just never enough staff and it shows in the quality of service. Even a great server can only do so much. The place is always lively and we do enjoy coming here so we will continue too, but hope management makes the necessary changes to keep this place going and make it more enjoyable for families. read more

I was craving a brownie sundae, so I ordered it on the app and went to the restaurant to pick up. The in app ordering was fast and very convenient. When I got to the restaurant, pick up wasn't as simple as. There was no one at the entrance/podium. After standing a little and waiting, i saw a server walk by and asked where I can pick you an online order and I was told at the ice cream counter. 15 years ago, I was a limo driver, who drove the CEO of Friendly's to JFK. When he got out of the limo, instead of giving me a tip, he gave me 4 business cards with coupons on the back. Yesterday, April 24th 2026, Wade, the manager, accepted one, which was great. The ice cream was fabulous. Brian the waiter was great. Friendly's Rocks !!!! read more

Friendly's is pretty consistent. If you have been there before, you know the experience. This particular time we had a great server. She was wonderful. Your waitress makes a difference in your experience. Her smile actually made the food taste better. We didn't get anything fancy. In order of grilled cheese and French fries and I had a fishanajig and french fries. She told me she was going to give me a senior order so I can get a free happy ending sunday. My order was the same size as the kids meal on the table. Very small sandwich and a small order of fries. I'm not complaining because I need to cut down fried food anyhow. It just wasn't what I expected. I know, I'm probably the only one that order is fish from a place like this. I do not eat red meat. Be aware there's not a lot of choices if you don't eat or chicken. Went to Friendly's in Massapaqua Park , we were greeted with a smile and sat us down right away , place was packed but moving quick. We sat and had dinner and our service was amazing we had Jennifer which was professional and was on top of everything. She was so friendly and happy and you can tell she loved her job . This place used to be one of the best spots years ago, but now honestly I can say I am disgusted. Before even ordering the food me and my boyfriend were sat down with full view of the kitchen, this is where everything went south. We could see the servereating out of their french fry bowl and licking her fingers and going back minute after minute. The server we had was very nice but the fact that this establishment lets this behavior happen is gross. read more

It's pretty rare for a chain to have such a high average of stars on Yelp. This really says something about this Friendly's. Every time we go, service is stellar and the food is actually really great. Our server this time was Angie and she was exceptional. Really. Everyone there is actually so friendly (pun intended). I'm so happy there's a good quality place like this, right in town. And the prices are the cheapest around! I can't believe I'm saying this but Friendly's is one of my fave restaurants :D read more

The last time I ate at a Friendly's was in 1985, and it was in Massachusetts. Fast forward to 2024 on Long Island when we got ice cream sundaes from Friendly's in Massapequa Park. All these years later, Friendly's is going strong and still turning out excellent ice cream desserts. I ordered a Forbidden Fudge Brownie Sundae, and I got it with Hunka Chunka PB Fudge Ice Cream and Toffee Crunch Ice Cream. The ice cream was really creamy, flavorful and downright yummy. The brownies were moist and chocolately, and I especially liked the marshmallow sauce and hot fudge. Excellent quality fudge and lots of it. They sure packed a lot into a to-go container, and it took me two different sittings to finish one serving. Double the pleasure, double the fun... not to mention, double the YUMMMMMM !!! Can't wait till we visit family on Long Island again... we'll make a return visit here FOR SURE ! read more

This is the third time we have ordered take out from Friendly's in Massapequa Park and it has been great. They have a catering menu, which I had never realized. You can get a combo that has 4 sliders, chicken tenders and fries for under $30. They gave us an entire new, sealed bottle of ketchup and so much honey mustard and bbq sauce. They also have an ice cream sundae for 6 that includes a full canister of redi whip with cones, cups and toppings. Something different for a celebration. The food is PHENOMENAL! I got the double sliders and side of mozzarella sticks and I tried a bite of the double patty slider and it was very delicious! The ice cream was creamy and yummy! The service was great! We had a server named Dave and he was very funny and nice! The ambiance was very good too. There was music outside and in the bathroom and the seats in the booths were so comfy! There were cool pictures in photo frames with different houses and buildings with a type of super sized food or ice cream! I really wish I could give Friendlys a higher review. But unfortunately over the years, I feel they lost some pep in their step. The food is not of the greatest quality, which is fine because I'm not expecting "gourmet", but it always takes way to long to prepare even when the restaurant has very few customers inside. They do redeem themselves a bit with the ice cream though. It's been one of my favorites since I was a child. Their prices are kind of high for what you're getting but I guess that's par for the course these days. read more

The food was exactly what you would expect from a Friendly's. The crispy chicken wrap probably had two pieces of chicken in the whole thing and all of the dressing was pooled at the bottom. The ice cream was good but how can you mess that up? The worst part about our lunch was the service. I don't blame the server, I think it was an issue in the kitchen. We were there for 2.5 hours for some sandwiches, salads and ice cream. It was unreal. And about an hour into our meal, the restaurant was practically empty so there was really no excuse. Also, while we were waiting for our table, I tried to get change for my son to play the claw machine. I was standing up at the to go ice cream counter for about 10 minutes and not one employee acknowledged me. That should have been my cue to leave then and there. I came here with my AA sponsor a guy I was seeing for a hot month before it got messed up and another AA friend of ours. She just celebrated her 3 years that day so we went out after a meeting we all went to. The food was okay I just made the choice to become vegan so even though I was still eating a little dairy I got a salad and got no cheese and dressing and hot sauce I think. I also got a lemonade to drink. It took them forever to bring us our stuff even though the place wasn't all that crowded. Unfortunately Friendly's used to be something now it's kind of sucky. read more

So this past Sunday we checked the website and the Sunday Family Day specials were still listed. Our family went to celebrate a birthday and planned on ordering off that menu. After being seated I noticed we were missing that menu so I asked our server and was told, they no longer offer that menu. We were all seated and had started ordering drinks by that time so we stayed. My disappointment and frustration is the menu was and still is today as I write this, listed on the website. I believe the menu should have been honored since the restaurant is still advertising it and the same entries are and were still be offered, just at a higher price.

As opposed to letting us finish the appetizer, clear table. And then come back. I know it's ingrained to flip tables. But come on. Otherwise. Highly recommend

For the group size I had I was given options for a 3 course meal plus 2 hours of brunch drinks for $55 a person. The children in the party were given their own menu and were charged $25 which, especially these days, was a great deal. They printed special menus and allowed me to bring in some decorations as well which was appreciated. I paid the $25 cake cutting fee and they made it so special by putting in not only the candles and toppers I provided but also a sparkler which was very nice. For food our menu was fried mozzarella, buffalo chicken egg rolls, and donut bites to start plus the amazing bread they brought to the table. For entrees the 4 options were the chopped chicken and feta salad, penne Ala vodka, French toast, and avocado toast. Everyone enjoyed everything, especially the salad! The kids got buttered noodles, Mac and cheese, and chicken fingers. All was very good and portions were plentiful. They provided cannolis and then served up the cake. It was great. I had water with my meal and preferred to order a wine instead. Definitely a comeback place for me.

People in the area seem to absolutely love this place and overhearing people talk, there's nothing bad on the menu, and the corn agnolotti was delicious (I was sad to have changed my order, this is what I was originally going to get).
