Ordered a sundae and paid for it in the stall. 10 minutes later, the carhop comes to me and tells me that their ice cream machine is broken. I asked for a refund and a receipt. The carhop tells me he will be right back with a number to call for a refund and my receipt. Sat for 15 more minutes waiting for him to return to me. He walked by me and would not look at me. Eventually I just left (with a frustrated toddler in the car, I had to). Tried to file a claim with sonic corporate to issue a refund, but they can't help me because this location never issued me a receipt. Thank god I only spent $3. I just had one of the most memorable nights of my life at the sonic drive in. Wow! Talk about incredible! Where do I start? The hot boys.. the incredible service ?? The immaculate cheese sticks?! They really have it all.... To make things better I think I just met the love of my life. He was driving a red sports car I was driving a Tacoma. Besides the love of my life, our food took a while but it was definitely worth the wait! Cheese sticks were hot and ready and it was the best steamy hot pretzel for me.. the "mozzarella sticks" were so good I had to get more! Wow the sonic drive in what a rush ! the ice cream maker for their Blasts has been out of commission for over a month! I had ordered on their app and went to pick up and found out. it took weeks and multiple calls and emails to their customer service and still didn't get refunded. I will say the manager did give me a refund in store, even though the customer service was supposed to. read more

I've had the sonic milkshakes before they are ok, this one by campus skimps on the ingredients in milkshakes I guess it's acceptable if it's by a college (not). I was craving a milkshake on my way home from work recently and decided to try the chicken tenders and onion rings. Completely inedible, there was no chicken in the tenders, it was all fried breading, and the onion rings were soaked in oil and soggy. Unfortunately had to throw the food away and waste my money. this review is mostly on customer service. I pulled into the park to order slots, and after waiting roughly 10 minutes to have my order taken, I was met with a very rude employee over the intercom. I myself work in food service so I totally understand being in a bad mood or being really busy and having a long wait for food, but I don't feel like I deserved the rude behavior that I got. The second she spoke over the intercom I tried to be as nice as possible, and she was very impatient with me. I was ordering for four people, so after I would order one thing, she would always follow it with "okay is that all?" In a very aggressive tone, like she really wanted me to be done. Again, I understand that they are probably busy and stressed, but this was over the top. The person in my passenger seat leaned over to order and the second he said one word she cut him off and said "okay I literally can't hear you at all." Then I asked her if there was any dairy in the chicken sandwich, and she was like, "dairy? in the chicken sandwich? no." I wish I could convey the tone that she had with me in this, but I will leave that for you to imagine. She then told me the total and immediately logged off of the intercom. Very unpleasant experience to say the least. However the food was good hence why I didn't give only one star. read more

They have the most delicious drinks and blended floats (try a refreshing Ocean Water or a delicious Rootbeer Blended Float), which alone would warrant a 5 star review, but there is also their yummy food. All I ever get here is the green chili cheeseburger. Love it. Used to love the shakes but they added a topping to them and ruined them. Other food is standard fast food. BUT, on a hot summer day that you have been working and sweating in your car there is NOTHING better than pulling into the slot at a sonic and ordering a large cherry limeade. They say the secret is in the ice and it really might be. Or maybe I just always get sonic at the best time, when I am needing the ice cold drink. Food wise, I hardly ever order anything, salty fast food isn't really up my alley, but when I occassionally do, I usally am disappointed. Nothing is special about a floppy chicken sandwich covered in salt and mayo. Negatives aside, their drinks are amazing! Between their 'happy hour' between 2-4 pm, where every drink is half off, and the option to choose your flavor to add to a drink, this is the best place to spend 5 minutes to cool off. Most of their shakes melt quickly, but you have the option to add a variety of 'bits' into the ice cream. M&m's, Oreo's, Cookie's & Cream, Butterfingers, you name it they probably can include it. WIth the rest of their drinks they have a list of flavor shots that you can add in, if you are craving a refreshing coke, why not add coconut or blueberry, cranberry or vanilla? The combinations are almost endless! Overall if you need that 5 minutes to take a breather, go to sonic you can order without getting out of your car, sit in the shade and enjoy your ice cold cherry limeade! read more

Being a nationwide fast-food chain, my expectations were not that high to begin with, but the food I was served here was terrible. My mother came down to Colorado from Illinois to visit me in the hospital, and she was really excited to try Sonic since there isn't one nearby where she lives. As she brought the food to my hospital room, she had a pleasant grin on her face thinking I was going to be very pleased with the meal she brought for me: A chicago style hot dog with tater tots! Of course, I already knew better, but I could see why my mother was fooled when looking at the hot dog, which had all of the proper condiments, no ketchup included. Unfortunately what really killed it was the dog itself, which tasted artificially smokey and was unpleasantly mushy. To be frank (no pun intended), what I ate was probably an Oscar Meyer wiener that was masquerading itself as the real thing. For that reason alone, this abomination does not deserve the prestigious label of "Chicago Style Hot Dog". It may have been cheap, but for about a dollar more at Big Al's I could at least get something dozens of times better. I would like to apologize to my mother for sounding like an ungrateful brat, but in any case this is an establishment to steer clear of it you plan on ordering hot dogs of any kind. read more

Usually have a good experience here but tonight was treated very poorly. The young lady who took our order was very short and rude. We repeated every single item twice because she didnt get it. When the food came, it had onions which we had specifically requested not be on there (they make me sick). When we told her she got angry and told us if she remakes them there will be a wait. We said that was okay, we understand. She walked in the door and threw the food on the counter and was obviously talking about us, especially when every other employee turned around and looked at us. My son was at the restaurant two days ago. The system crashed and the waitress was brand new. $70 later my son said, I did not order $70 worth of food. He talked to the manager and the GM. While they agreed the error was on their part, they refused to refund him his money immediately. He's a 22 yr old barely making enough to cover rent. He will get his refund in 45 days. Really? When the error is on your end? Shame on you Sonic. He should have been refunded the money right away when the error was discovered. Buyer beware. read more
