A good time was had by all - we loved you so much that we ate twice with you tonight! First go round was all about stuffing our faces after being in the car for an hour or so, second time well we thought better of what we wanted and loved it all right down to the frito pie wrap! One word describes the food at Sonic, Slop. I visited this restaurant twice. The last time was only because I was really hungry. The fries were so salted that tasting anything else was impossible. My burger was drenched in so much mustard I should have just stuck it in a blender and sipped it through a straw. It would have made less of a mess and it would have probably tasted the same. At least I wouldn't have yellow goo all over my hands. The price is pretty good but next time I get a hunger for mustard and salt I'll go home. My carhop Mike brought me my food maybe 2 minutes after ordering and he was very polite. I have had bad sonic experiences before so I know service can vary. My experience was amazing! They fixed my order exactly as I requested. The food came out hot, fresh and quick!

Very slow carhop service, attendant was nice, however 2 drinks took 20 mins to come out.

Well typically Sonic is one of my favorite goto restaurants if I'm with some friends or just hungry. I ordered a number 1 with no tomato and grilled unions instead of regular unions. I wait 15 mins for the food, then looked at the burger to find tomatoes and no grilled unions. So I politely asked to have the burger back so I could have the grilled unions. The tomatoes weren't a huge deal I could've taken them off. So once I say that the server comes out 4 mins later to take the burger from me and then 10 more mins later the SAME burger comes out with a side of grilled unions in a container to prove me wrong because they were arguing that they put the unions on there. The manager told me I was essentially wrong and that she was 100% sure the grilled unions were on the burger the first time. Ridiculous. Won't be wasting my money here anymore read more

More like 2 1/2 stars, and that's because the Chocolate Shake was the saving grace. The burger was alright, nothing to write about really. The same for the Tater Tot's. Too bad the food was of the frozen variety(sp?). Not sure if anyone here will stop by here again in the near future. We'll most likely stay with either McD's or 5 Guys for our burger fix. read more

Pass on this one and go to the Sonic a little further down I-95S! The difference in the food and service are night and day. Also, you don't have to drive to the foothills of the Blue Ridge mountains to get there (I had NO idea it was so far off the beaten path)!!! read more

The man who took my order was so pleasant and efficient. Great job. The woman at the window with the rainbow lanyard was the same way and made sure I had everything I needed. By far the worst customer service I've ever encountered. I have worked in the food industry for 7 years and have never been treated so disrespectfully by a MANAGER. We waited 30 minutes for a correction to be made on a drink and only to find out we would be lectured by the manager. Usually not too bad. Typical Friday night, bunch of cars in the drive thru and quite a few waiting for window service. I was pretty peeved, however, that it took 15 minutes to get the 2 drinks I ordered, and they weren't even complicated. A Dr. Pepper and a watermelon slush. On top of that, the card reader is jacked so my standard card wouldn't fit. Seemed like the manager brought out my drinks with no apology for the wait and acted like I inconvenienced him because he had to swipe my card. America's drive-in got me through studying for the bar last summer in Atlanta, GA. So, Sonic will always have a soft spot in my heart, and unfortunately is still showing a bit of a soft spot on my waistline! Anyways, I've been coming to this location for a few years now on my way to visit the fam. The service was usually awful, and I don't know where they misplaced the recipe for their onion rings. However, on one occasion where the high school worker sighed like I was wasting her time when ordering for four people, got angry when I asked her to repeat the order back to me, and still messed my order up- I had had enough. I complained to corporate expecting nothing to come of it. Well, the manager called me a couple weeks later, and was very apologetic. He said they've been having problems with the teenagers not wanting to work, as this is just their summer job. Hey, we've all been there, and hopefully progressed onward. I worked fast food in high school, and was a hostess/server in undergrad right before law school. Doesn't mean I ever had the right to treat the customers like ****. Not only did they comp my family's meal the next time we ordered, they sent me a postcard in the mail for another free entree, and sadly let that young girl go to further gain some maturity. I still go there on the way to visit my family, and the customer service has gotten better. Just don't order the onion rings! p.s.-They took the salads off the menu. That is a bit disappointing to America's obesity epidemic. I travel a lot, and sometimes have to rely on fast food options. I don't always want grilled chicken. this is just fast food people! if you are expecting sit down quality food just go to a sit down place. with that being said its good...i had the sonic bacon and cheese burger and it was yummy! we also both got the tots with chili and cheese. the real stars of the show are their drinks, the cranberry limeade was REALLY good, go for it over the cherry i think! and they always have a special "blast" ice cream, always always get it, trust me :) read more

I love that there is not much to screw up at Sonic...especially since you provide your own ambience in your car. This Sonic had a courteous person taking the orders and serving. The food came out plenty hot and was tasty. Good place to go for fast food. This Sonic is awesome. Now I do not have to drive to Spotsylvania from Stafford to locate one. The service was quick and every time I have gone they are so friendly and even came back to the car for our trash. (That has never happened before) And is was hot. I always tip, but I gave a generous tip that day because it was HOT, busy and those skaters were working hard. read more

Almost every time I visit the route 3 location I wait in the drive thru line forever and I order just drinks and there is hardly any ice in my drink. For example today I visited and ordered two large drinks and there was hardly any ice in the drink it was 95 degrees out and I would like some ice. Management needs to do a better job at quality control at this establishment and learn from other Sonic's who do a faster, better job. read more

This is one of my most frequented establishments. They can sometimes be a little slow on the service, but the slushy drinks are great here, especially a good deal if you come for the 2-4 "happy hour". That is usually all I get here, because the burgers aren't that good, although sometimes I get lured into the tater tots or the frito pie. read more

I love sonic. It sucks that they don't have one in Woodbridge. This is the location we usually stop at simply because its so close to my grandparents house. I would say that I either have a good experience here or a bad one. The bad ones are usually due to long waits or the food not up to par. Sometimes it's both. The employees are usually nice but they do ask a lot of questions. I know it's not their fault. The good experiences are when the wait is short and the food is amazing. If you always drive by and wonder but never stop, give it a try. They are very expensive though so if your short on cash then keep rolling. read more

Sonic is a throw back to the days of the car hop. It's not everyone's cup of tea but if you like sloppy hamburgers, I do on occasion they carry the torch. Don't like to eat them in my car. this was a horrible experience for my family. we pulled in about 6 in the evening on a week night. we all ordered burgers/drinks etc. Our entire order when it came out was WRONG..even though the receipt was correct..the burgers were luke warm as if they were trying to get rid of mistakes from the evening and the fries were cold.
