I ordered cheese fries and was given chili cheese fries. I don't eat meat so I walked up (since only the drive thru is open) and someone came to fix the issue. She repeated back to me cheese fries with no chili so I assumed my order would be made properly the seconds time around. I went through Sonics drive through the other day, and ordered a large diet drink. After receiving the drink and driving off, I took a couple of sips of the drink, and realized it wasn't diet. I turned around and got back in line at the drive through, and explained what happened. I was very nice about it, and the girl on the speaker was nice, and told me to pull up to the window. When I got to the window, this girl opened the window and just stood there staring at me. It was obvious she wasn't happy with me. She wouldn't speak, so I finally explained again (very nicely) what happened, that I inadvertently received a regular drink instead of a diet, and that I'm diabetic. At no time during this transaction, was I rude. This girl very abruptly replied, "No it isn't...I made that drink myself! It's a diet! And then she continued to glare at me and act exasperated with me. I was just taken back by this, and finally said, Fine...I'll take it home with me and throw it away". She then, after all of this, offered to make me another drink. I just refused and drove off. This was such a simple fix. It wasn't a big deal. Regardless of her opinion/assessment of the situation, she should have just offered to fix it (with a smile on her face), and I would have went on my merry way. But she treated me like I was I was doing something devious. I don't get it. What ever happened to "THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT." I won't return to Sonic. I have never had a complaint or a bad statement to say against sonic. Although I haven't ate there in years I have gone there for milkshakes ever since I was 6 with my grandparents. And might I say they were amazing I would get a different flavour everytime. Maybe the food isn't the best, but I wouldn't know all I can assure is that if you're looking for a great milkshake and an even better memory sonic is the place to go! read more

I would give Sonic negative stars if it was an option. My best advice - stay away from this Sonic location. I experience an issue EVERY single time I try to eat here. What is intended to be convenient to order through the APP and pick up is unnecessarily inconvenient. This location franchise is owned by a slum lord by the name of Mill Sinclair who does absolutely nothing to properly maintain the equipment. Today, not only did the AC go out but the ice machine, slush machine and (as always) the shake machine. It is not the first time I have been turned away without a complete order but it was the first time I have been told to call corporate (spent 40 minutes on the phone with them) and be told "when you purchase through the APP, we cannot issue a partial refund". Are you kidding me with this? In this age of technology, you cannot issue a refund for $10 worth of drinks on a $32 ticket???? The only thing they offered was coupons. No thanks - I have no interest in ever coming back to Sonic in Grants Pass or anywhere. I feel bad for the employees and the manager Christa who have to work for such a horrible and dysfunctional organization and franchise. Horrible service. They couldn't get our order right and said they couldn't hear us. Another negative: their ice cream machine has been out for a long time. Ask about it and they say-oh...they are working on it right now. When people think Sonic they think ice cream and burgers and hot dogs... Very irritating. By far the worst of the sonic location i have been to. The food is a mess in a box, haphazardly put together, and when asked for no onions or other specifications the food came with no alterations done each and every time I've been there. The most disappointing thing is the shakes. They have, what i hope is, separated fat giving it a waxy and grainy feel. Either they don't store the mix correctly or the machine is messed up and they have yet to fix it. I've been to it a few times over the past 6 months, its been the same the whole time . I went through the drive-thru yesterday and bought 2 combos. One with tater tots one with french fries. One meal was a double cheeseburger the other was a double cheeseburger with bacon and barbecue sauce on square like bread. something like that. The tater tots and the french fries were completely cold. The burgers were soggy. read more

Went to Sonic tonight for shakes. Incredibly disappointed. We arrived around 8:10 pulled into a stall. We knew what we wanted so we ordered straight away. Sat there and waited and waited and waited for 2 medium shakes finally the board said Carhop on their way. But waited at least another 10 minutes when she finally arrived the order was incorrect we has ordered a peanut butter shake and a strawberry cheesecake shake. She brought out the strawberry cheesecake shake and a regular strawberry shake.We told her the order was incorrect. She got really mouthy and argued that " No she brought out what we ordered and she was too busy to change it" we could take it or not but wasn't going to refund or make another shake. And both shakes were melted,warm and had a weird taste to them took OVER A HALF HOUR from ordering to receiving them. So basically I wasted close to $5 on undrinkable shakes. She obviously doesn't know crap about customer service. She needs to be TRAINED how to treat people. While I realize they were busy that is no reason to treat customers like crap. I seriously doubt that we'll be going back to This Sonic again. read more

My elderly parents went to this location yesterday with a $10 gift card. Because of their gift card they reluctantly decided to try a couple of burgers as they have not been impressed prior. The total was over $13 and when they presented their gift card the person at the window stated that they cannot accept cash with the gift card. WHAT???? My dad drove off and told them they can keep their food. After my dad told me what had happened, I told him that maybe the person didn't know how to do that transaction and he should've asked for a manager. So this morning he contacted the headquarters and was told that each franchise can make their own policies. Again, WHAT????? All the years I have been using gift cards and the technology as it is today, this is the most ridiculous policy I've heard in a long time! At the very least, headquarters should've offered to send them coupons for free burgers or shakes or something. No customer service. I love sonic, but this one I'm disappointed with. Food was barely warm when it was brought out and portions were tiny. 2 of my chicken strips we really nuggets and the large chili cheese tots were about half the size we usually get.
