The food and service was phenomenal I highly recommend this it is the best place on earth

Just got back from an early weekday dinner at Jimmy's -- great time to go! We've been wanting to check this out for a while now since the new ownership came in earlier this year, and we weren't disappointed! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Super friendly and accomodating service, with the whole outdoor dining area now spanking clean, with hanging pots of flowers, too.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was also great! Hubby had one of Jimmy's classic burgers, and I had a Nathan's hot dog with all of the condiments. With the latter, our server graciously cut the dog into thirds because I knew I wouldn't be able to eat the entire dog. Also, the quality of the meat could be tasted in both orders. We also shared a milkshake-of-the-month--blueberry, from a local farm--and hubby added an order of onion rings. I tried the pickle fries a few weeks ago and they were flavorful, perfectly fried, and not greasy at all. The only reason I've given Jimmy's four stars instead of five is that I'd LOVE to have my hot dog bun warmed, just like it's done in NYC and Chicago. The bun wasn't cold, but room temperature. Hopefully this is an easy fix and is doable. However, we will DEFINITELY be back! :) read more

Well I ordered entirely to much food... no small portions here. Jimmy's deluxe burger with no tomato. Beef is fresh and flavorful, bun soft but didn't fall apart. Fries are the right thickness with a crispy seasoned exterior, fluffy inside. They give you a spoon with the shake and it stands upright, they're THICK!! The kicker?? Zucchini fries. More like zucchini logs. The batter is perfection. It's not thin or thick but it doesn't fall off or apart with each bite and you can actually bite through the whole thing. Ordered the chicken little, onion rings. and chili cheese dog. Onion rings were super thick and crispy. Chili cheese dog was enormous and hearty. This was my second visit in about 5 weeks. The first was a delicious corn dog and fries. Yesterday I had their Grand Prix that I substituted a toasted brioche roll instead of rye, and a fry and onion ring combo. The burgers here are insane... I got the Route 66 and it was outstanding! If you like onion rings, this place is a "must stop" on your travels (the fries are outrageously good, too). Justin was our cashier/server, and he was fantastic! Could not have had a better experience! Stopped in on our way to California from WA! The food was great! But I have to brag on the milkshakes! We got a blackberry milkshake....so delicious! I had a pastrami sandwich because I'm very picky about my pastrami. It was a 10 out of 10. Stacked generously, on par with Cartwrights Pastrami but not as expensive. I love their Green Eyed Lady burger! It was super fresh & flavorful. I love how they use thick bacon in the burger & not skimp on the avocado! All the vegetables were plentiful, perfect amount of sauce. Their banana milk shake is A+++++ sooooo good! I think one of the best banana milkshakes I've had! Service was fast, attentive & friendly. This place was amazing! My partner and I were on a road trip, hungry and looking for a good place to eat. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This spot caught our attention because of its "old school" vibe. Inside, it has checkered floors and that classic drive-in feel.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There isn't a lot of indoor seating, but there are clean, comfortable picnic tables outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They also have a drive-thru if you'd rather not get out of your car. The service was great the cashier was pleasant, and the staff who brought out our food were wonderful. One gentleman even came by multiple times to check if we needed anything. My partner got Jimmy's Deluxe and said it was really good and a great portion size. He also ordered fries, which were more than enough for both of us. I got a bacon burger (I can't remember the name), and it was okay. The real stars of the show were the onion rings 10/10, definitely recommend and the mint chip milkshakes. Stopped here on way to Eugene. Had a few mediocre meals on the way up from San Francisco. This restaurant was really nice surprise. Great old fashioned burgers with all the fixings. I wish I could give this place 10 stars! My buddy and I recently retired from the Navy and decided to go around and find the best burger place in Grants Pass. Found it. The food is absolutely amazing!!! Every single bite is just as good as the first one. Every time you go there, it's just as good as the first time. The staff is amazing considering that they employ a lot of young people. They are always happy and smiling and popping out of the back to make sure that you have absolutely everything that you need. It's hard to find places around here with grown adults that care as much as these kids do. I absolutely love this place and everything about it. I have told everyone that I could possibly think of that they need to go there and eat. Ok, listen up!..... There are restaurants aka Burger joints that do some things good but, this place does everything good because they genuinely care! Here's my story. My wife, beloved dog and I arrived at Jimmy's Classic Drive-in and ordered a Deluxe, a Doo Wop Burger, Onion rings, Fries, and a Blackberry shake. The burgers were juicy fresh meat deliciousness. The fries were perfect crispness and the onion rings were pure perfection, crisp with a sweetness not to be forgotten!! When our food was delivered I was told my onion rings were not up to par as two of them 'blew up' in the fryer and they quickly brought two additional rings!?? I was somewhat blown away that this burger house cared so much that they wanted to do this!.... Incredible by all semi-fast food standards. Our food was really as good as it gets. We capped it off with the best Blackberry Shake I have ever had....period! To top things off the owner, Taryl made the rounds to ensure his guests were enjoying there meals..... amazing! Hubby says it's very clean even for the outside, friendly staff. Bathrooms are kept clean. hubby liked the blue bird sandwitch and I had the wild thing with avocado because I can't have cheese. There was enough fires for us to share. For me my burger could have used a little more S & P, but that's my taste buds bc everyone is different. Now we each had a sandwich and 1 set of fries I had a sm ice tea and hubby had the sm shake and the grand total was 47.00 yup, that's right 47. I asked hubby if he would come back and I quote "yes after I get a lone from the bank" other than the price and a bit more seasoning on the burgers or hay put salt and pepper on the tables ‍ the food was ok.
