I have driven past this little place a hundred times. Finally stopped in. Not disappointed! They close at 2pm, I walked in about 5 minutes to & received a cheerful greeting, told the grill was still open & to have a seat. I was not made to feel like I should place my order for take out so they could close. I was glad to dine in just to have time to admire the decor! So nostalgic & fun! I ordered the special of the day & it was superb. They bake their own sourdough & it was delightfully grilled for my chicken Swiss Ortega sandwich. Tasty! I chose the potato salad as my side & it was really good. Not too mustard-y, not overloaded with celery. Not too dry. Very nice flavor & texture. They offer an outdoor seating area & adequate parking. You can also buy some of their yummy bread by the loaf. I will be stopping in again...

This is the owners response to over 150 concerns from local costumers just wondering why they're never open and why

Rude and unprofessional. Gets online to the local southern oregon food sites and argues with costumers over the flaky business. They list hours on their page they DONT follow. Hardly ever are they open and when questioned they are down right unprofessional and rude. I try to support local but I won't support ugly people with zero kindness over their own mistakes. Guess the costumer is always wrong here even when they're not. NEVER coming back and telling everyone I know about these owners.

Cheeseburger and homemade coleslaw - Tasty!

We have passed this little place many times and finally had the timing right for lunch. Friendly service with multiple asks if we had everything. Simple lunch of cheeseburger and coleslaw but it was very tasty. Coleslaw was homemade and had a nice mild sweet taste. I was right on the secret ingredient when I asked about it. Husband enjoyed his club sandwich and large pile of fries. I snitched a few and they were just right on crispness. We will definitely come back.

We drove 5 miles out of our way to go eat breakfast here, but it seems like they changed it to a BBQ place. Also, it was closed.

I ordered the steak and eggs (medium rare, asked for it on the rarer side since you never know with steak), and it came out perfect -- great char on the outside, tender and juicy inside. Exactly how it should be. Also... don't skip the specials on the chalkboard there's always something worth trying. And the crepe berqueno is AMAZINGGG -- seriously out of this world. In my opinion, it's the best savory crepe ever. I always customize mine by adding egg and avocado and it never misses. The atmosphere is what really makes this place special though. The owner, Gab, is always there making sure everything runs smoothly, and you can tell he genuinely cares. Him and his son Brandon take great care of their guests and make you feel like more than just a customer. Service can be a little slower at times, but honestly... give them grace. They're balancing a busy spot, connecting with locals, and creating a really welcoming vibe. It feels lived-in, not rushed -- and that's part of the charm. Nothing but love for this place. ‍

It took 30 minutes to reach our table. We were encouraged and excited to try the food and then we were weirdly disappointed. No flavor. I understand farm to table, but zero flavor. Hot sauce was offered. I accepted. Helped out. My husband's Ruben wasn't what he was expecting. The meat was dry and had no flavor. Strange, because usually a Ruben sandwich has a lot of roasted flavor. He said it tasted like dry roast beef. Had a lot of picture quality, but not much else.

Being harassed for leaving honest reviews about experiences shouldn't be happening on this platform. It doesn't help at all. There's plenty of reviews stating similar nuances. It can be improved. Honorable mentions The bloody Mary with the dill salt and white chocolate blondie WERE AMAZING. Staff were so friendly too!! But....BUT. We waited almost 40 min for food after ordering :/ we both had breakfast burritos that were just very average tasting. They did comp my Bloody Mary and the desert but man oh man that wait for the food was crazy and it wasn't a packed house either. In total after we left we had spent three hours there: waiting for table, waiting for food, eating it and finishing. We intended for a lot less time there. This was a Saturday. Maybe there's a problem going on in the kitchen or not having a food runner. Not sure ! Mediocre food for an absurd long. Unfortunately I will be back for that dill slat rim Bloody Mary. But not worth the wait for the food.

What an amazing experience at DASSH Bakery in Grants Pass!…read more From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed by the owners, a husband-and-wife team who clearly pour their hearts into this bakery. Everything is made fresh, and you can absolutely taste the difference. We ordered the Local Bagel, and it was phenomenal. It had bacon, aioli, and a variety of fresh ingredients that came together perfectly. I honestly can't remember everything that was on it because I was too busy enjoying it! The bagel itself was fresh-made and absolutely delicious. We also tried the ham bagel sandwich with cheddar, ham, and honey mustard, and it was just as fantastic. Every ingredient tasted fresh and high quality. For a sweet treat, we had the blueberry scone, and it was perfection--flavorful, tender, and clearly made from scratch. Their coffee menu is impressive as well. They can make just about any latte you want and offer a great selection of syrups, including cookie butter, vanilla, lavender, and many more. They also have plenty of milk options, including oat milk, almond milk, whole milk, and regular milk. The bakery itself was exceptionally clean, well-maintained, and very inviting. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with outdoor seating available, including two two-top tables and a larger six-top table, making it a great place to relax and enjoy your food and coffee. The service was impeccable. Since the bakery is run by the owners themselves, things may take a little longer during busy times, but that wasn't an issue at all for us. The care, attention, and quality they put into every order are well worth the wait. If you're in Grants Pass, DASSH Bakery is an absolute must-visit. Fresh-made food, outstanding coffee, a clean and comfortable atmosphere, and wonderful owners who truly care about their customers. Easily a five-star experience, and we'll definitely be back! Our dinners: clam linguine, small clams in butter wine sauce was good, lots of broth and noodles could have had more clams. Dinner salads were great, big, crisp and fresh. Hubby had the meatballs with whipped potatoes, not a big meal but very tasty. I often buy ribeye steaks at the Cartwright's market and they are wonderful. Cartwright's owns Taprock restaurant so I figured that's the steak they'd serve but no it was thin and tough like a top round steak, it was cooked med rare that I ordered.
