I usually love a Sonic Burger, but this was by far the worst burger and worst Sonic drive-thru experience ever. First, they got my order wrong twice. Second, we were in line for 12 minutes with only one car in front of us that only got drinks. Third, the sandwiches were so greasy, they stained my shirt and so overloaded with sauce, it stained my brother's shirt. Lastly, when the manager saw me, she made no inquiry as to why I looked so annoyed as I was throwing away what was too bad to eat. Worst Sonic ever. Go to the one on Erie instead. read more

We only go to Sonic for dessert stuff usually. We have never been fans of the food. Our local branch was not able to serve the popular advertised strawberry shortcake drink due to a down machine. We expected it and left to the location on Hamilton East Side with unfortunate results as well. They were able to make the drinks, but seemed overwhelmed. The line was empty when we arrived, and a comedy of errors ensued. After a long delay to order, we were brought forth to pay for a nightmare. Arriving at the second window we were met with panic and at least one employee that did not understand my language. They gathered our drinks after several minutes and now we feel rushed for holding up their line the we arrived at the window after 15 dedicated minutes to try the delicious recipe sent to these franchises and then advertise locally expecting these teens to create these concoctions with absolutely no training. After our half hour wait for what seemed like a rush order once we arrived at the window. Forced through the glass partition we finally got our drinks. We pulled to the other side so someone else doesn't wait as long. Upon stopping on the opposite side of the building, my girl driving at the time wanted to taste this fantastic beverage we crossed town to get. She got a drink out of the caddy and it erupted because the lid was not on correctly. I wobbled to the front via my cane to request extra napkins. Again the language barrier got me 2. A half spilled shake. Clean that up with 2 napkins. Another employee finally came to assist with a bunch of napkins. As you can tell with her doused in a drink see drove clear to the other side of town in her lap kinda ruined movie night. There are 2* because the drink was actually very good. I gave her mine and drank what was left of hers. Later I had to have the interior detailed to remove the shake that didn't end up on her pants and shirt. (Shirt washed ok but pants were ruined). The people who run this location don't gaf about it. Wife and I have been going there for a year or so and we became friends with one of the girls who worked there. She was a manager. The owners hated her and eventually replaced her with a young kid who doesn't know anything. Now the place is a nightmare. If you happen to get good service at all, play the lottery. We pulled in tonight and tried to order, but the girl couldn't hear us so she came out to the car and typed our order on her phone then went in to order it for us. I watched the screen as she put everything in. We had asked for a side of pickles. She put us down for some sort of Pickle Os that were almost $5. So I pushed the button again and again she couldn't hear me so she came out. I told her we didn't want those, that's not what we ordered, we just wanted a side of pickles. She rolled her eyes and went back inside. Because of that we decided to just leave. The wife thought they were probably going to spit in our food at that point and I wouldn't put it past them. I hit the button again and a different girl came on and I said to just cancel our order. Of course she couldn't hear me so she began YELLING "CAN YOU REPEAT THAT?" Ordered dinner for wife and I, 3 sandwiches, tots and onion rings. Got to the window, confirmed the order with the gentleman working at the window. He handed us a bag that was clearly too small for the order we put in. Handed it back and asked him once more to confirm the order and the food in the bag. He looked in said it was all there. Sonic Drive-in is such American establishment! I love it! So as you probably know you can drive in, order and they'll bring your order to your car. Or you can park and sit at the tables they have. I treated my orientation staff to slushies one afternoon. There were about 18 of us which is overwhelming I'm sure! However, the staff was very patient and helpful. Our orders came out so quickly! I love the slushies and add nerds to mine which is a nice surprise. 2-4pm daily is happy hour which means you get half off slushies and drinks! I would give this place nothing if I could, especially not my money if I could go back in time. This place has horrible customer service. There are a bunch of teens and young adults working here and all they care about is talking and goofing off with each other. They consistently get my order wrong here, or hand out drinks with lids half off the cups. They don't give you dipping sauces unless you beg for them. AND the best part is, when you complain, they don't own up to their mistakes, they tell you a chocolate shake is supposed to be white. Tonight was the worst of the worst. I ordered a LARGE popcorn chicken meal for my not-so-healthy dinner. The wait was really long...at least 15 minutes. And when they did give me my food, it was a very small container filled halfway with chicken, and the same size tots and a small coke. I had to drive around to a space and call the worker to come bring me honey mustard...and she brought plain mustard. Then I also asked if what I had was a large, and she said it looked like they charged me for a medium. It was definitely a small. There is no way that box was getting any smaller. So they stole my money tonight and lied to me. For some unknown reason I hadn't been to a Sonic in about 10-12 years. It was never convenient for me to stop but I'm glad I did recently. The Chicago Dog with pickle, peppers, and relish and chili cheese tater tots are the perfect combination for lunch, with sweetened raspberry iced tea. I already know that the food taste will be decent, and for many items I actually would consider this to be kind of on the pricier side or moderate side. This time in the morning about 10:15 AM are used the drive-through and as expected it was painfully slow, but I was able to order a chicken tenders meal. What was bizarre about this experience is why manage to get my soda without waiting too long. The longest wait time was for pulling up to the drive-through window and waiting for an attendant to come and collect my money, and then another long wait waiting for the food. Thankfully I had my soda to keep me busy. The curious part about this order, which is a large meal with a five piece chicken tenders with tater tot's, is that: one. It came with sliced toast cut at a diagonal (talk about carbs overload) And an onion ring. This place is incredibly hit or miss for me. Normally it is decent, not really fast service but all I normally get is a drink and some mozzarella sticks so it is not super long. This afternoon I came here with my mom and boyfriend and the order did not appear on the screen which was kind of odd and they completely left out the drink that my mom was supposed to get and my diet drink came out as a regular. Not a big deal for me, but my mom has diabetes so if they messed up hers, she would get pretty sick from it. Sonic is a drive-in I first experienced in Memphis, TN. The Hamilton store has good, fast service with great tasting food. Their $1 value menu is well worth hitting up, with my favorite being the chicken sandwich. The servers bring you your food on roller skates, like an old-style drive-in.
