Spring Street Treats may not be much to look at, but it's got tasty ice cream and a lot of heart. They do soft serve with your basic vanilla, chocolate, twist, or special flavor of the week, plus lots of more elaborate creations with sauces, toppings, and mix-ins. They are closed in the winter, but in the summer it's a great place to stop in, get ice cream, and sit at their outdoor picnic benches, where they also have an impressive selection of lawn games ready to play. The owner, too, is a really sweet guy who's a pleasure to chat with. When my wife and I stop in here on dog walks, he'll always notice our dog outside and give me a dog biscuit to take back to him. read more

The gentleman at the window took our order and passed it on to someone in the back that got all wrong except one item out of 6. We had to ask for the milk shake as it was not prepared with the test of the order. We told them of the error that we ordered a pulled pork sandwich not plain nachos. It was corrected and they gave us a free cone card. We ordered two inside out drumstick sundaes, amazing idea, with vanilla and chocolate swirl, there was only vanilla. We did not make them change those. The nachos and pulled pork sandwich were like something like you would get at a high school concession stand, nothing special. The sundaes were delicious in spite of the errors. I may come back for a frozen treat but not for food. Great variety and interesting options of frozen treats. Cute ice cream shop in Oxford. It's reminiscent of old time creamy whip ice cream shops. They offer a few outdoor activities also. Such as tetherball and a small playground. It's a great atmosphere to enjoy a cone or sundae outside and stick around for a game of cornhole or watch the kids play. I, unfortunately did not have the time to stick around to enjoy any activities, so it was a quick stop and go. I ordered a turtle sundae to go. It was a large portion size - I mean really large! Plenty of caramel and chocolate covered with its and whipped cream. It was yummy. The ice cream (a soft serve) reminded me a little bit of ice milk. It seemed a little lighter version of the typical soft serve. The to-go sundae was served with a re-sealable lid which was a good idea- as this treat lasted more than one serving! read more

First time and I'm a fan of this tiny walk up/drive-thru. It's a bit of a Miami University haunt, but located well off campus. My daughter requested a late night run on my visit. How can Dad say no and we hit them up around 10 PM. They have a not so secret menu they publish that offers specials. My daughter decided on a s'mores and we utilized the drive-thru. The young staff was super friendly. They have a tip bucket to reward them. The ice cream was yummy and I would definitely return. read more

This place is a favorite for students living off campus and there is a great reason for that! Their ice cream is probably the cheapest in Oxford and it is still high quality. The inside of the store is quite small and only meant for quick ordering and then leaving, but they have plenty of benches and seating outside for people to relax and enjoy their ice cream at. They also have a drive through, which is incredibly convenient if you do not want to get out of your car to order. I love grabbing a sundae here especially when it is hot outside. A ton of students on campus also make the walk over here during the school year. Highly recommend coming here, between this place and UDF your ice cream needs are definitely going to be met in Oxford! read more

Spring street treats is very cute with super nice staff. When I was there, their swirl was broken, so they gave me an extra large vanilla on a cone to make up for it. I got rainbow sprinkles on it. This is my favorite place in Oxford. The soft serve is some of the best I've ever had - and I love that they have rotating featured flavors every 14 days. My favorite of those was the Pistachio - sooooo good and soooo refreshing. Their hot fudge milkshakes are wonderful! The ice cream here is great, and I believe that it is all dairy and gluten free, so people with allergies have a great place to go. Even for omnivores like me, the ice cream is super tasty. Their mix ins are a lot of fun, and their portions range from two-bite (their smallest size) to very generous (extra large size).
