I used to love this restaurant and this location. The last time I was here the staff member who took my order was surly, the fries were dark brown and tasted like burnt oil, and the sandwich and wrap were mediocre at best. The store wasn't overly busy and there was a staff member with his head down on the table sleeping on and off while I was waiting. What really topped it off and prompted me to write this review was that I immediately submitted a review with the company and I have not heard back from them. Definitely subpar all around. read more

First and foremost, I have to say, the Philly cheesesteaks and fries that my family had tonight tasted great. A tad extra salty, but on a splitting hairs level. From there: this location sucks. My wife LOVES Penn Station and gets it on her work lunch/dinner breaks, but I usually only have it once, maybe twice a year. It's fine, but I can make a Philly cheesesteak at home that tastes better, so I usually go that route when I'm in the mood. I can't remember the last time I went to Penn Station and it was likely this location, but my family was running low on time, so my wife sent me out to grab dinner while she finished stuff up with the kids. Texted me the order and I was on my way. I walked in and had everyone's order but my own, but assumed I'd be ordering the Chicken Salad. No one else was in the restaurant when I walked in, so I took a second to look at the menu. I couldn't find the Chicken Salad, so I asked if it was still available. The gentleman taking my order said he didn't know and from their the guffaw I was met with was surprising. The next guy said, "We got rid of that a looong time ago" and I tried to politely ask how long ago. He pointed to the woman behind him and said, "She's been here longer than me--how long ago did we get rid of the chicken salad?" She barely looked up and said, "At least 2 years ago." (So maybe I actually have Penn Station on a semi-annual basis, let's read on to see what I'm missing...") I ended up ordering a cheesesteak to match the two others I had ordered and some fries. After I waited for my order, a few people came in behind me and received their orders before mine. It didn't bother me too much, but it was surprising to see 4 other orders completed before mine was. I realize some are cooked, some aren't, etc., but it was still an odd thing to witness. While waiting one of the crew members is.... "working," but at a snail's pace while he was watching the Bengals game. Go team and all, but I'd like to get my sandwich. Finally after 13 minutes, I receive my sandwiches and head home. I get home and the sandwiches are 1/2 the thickness that my wife & I remember. It was a stark difference. I realize restaurants are battling many issues right now and trying to save costs wherever they can, but this wasn't moving the goal line by a few years, this was placing it right on the "50" if that analogy means anything. Like I said at the beginning, everything tasted great, but $29 for these sandwiches with the rude service just isn't worth it. Probably won't be checking you guys out again in 2023. read more

I think the food quality at Penn Station is quite high. I especially like their fries, which are among the best you'll find at this tier of restaurant, or any tier for that matter. I only deduct a star because a meal at Penn Station can get expensive quite quickly. The prices are significantly above regular fast food joints, and even high for other fast casual places. This is your standard Penn Station. I like the artichoke sandwich. It sounds healthy, but cheese and oil make it not so. A rain storm passed by during my visit. It had to move tables because the roof was leaking onto my table. Penn Station makes for an ok sandwich on occasion, but this location had a few quirks. read more

No problem with the food at this location- it was standard Penn Station fare, which is above-average for a lunch sandwich. What turned me off was the attitude of the staff in fixing a mishap that occurred when I went to check out. I would say the fault for the mix-up was probably shared between myself, the girl who ordered in front of me, and the cashier. Basically the girl who ordered in line in front of me apparently stepped out of line and went back to the ordering window to make some change to her order, and never got back in line. When I went to pay, I assume that the cashier mentioned the name on the order, but if he did, it was so quiet that I didn't notice it was the wrong name. So I paid for the order, not realizing it belonged to the girl who had been in front of me (let's call her Cindy). When the cashier rang up the girl who had been in front of me (who had now inexplicably slipped into line BEHIND me), I realized that she was paying for my meal, and I had paid for hers. Not a huge deal, but the cashier struggled at length to fix it, then turned to the manager and said sarcastically "She thought she was Cindy. I can't fix it". The manager tries and fails to fix it, heaving out heavy sighs and angrily punching the keys. All the while, since I felt like I was at least partly responsible, I was completely patient and pleasant. They finally fix it, and I proceed to the table to wait for my food to be brought out. By this time I already feel like they've been snottier than they needed to be, but whatever. The kicker is that then the manager brings out Cindy's order, and pretends to bring it to some other customer, then says loudly to Cindy "Sorry, he said the order belonged to him, HAHAHAHA!" OH WOW GUYS, I DISCOVERED THE NEXT LOUIS C.K. RIGHT HERE AT PENN STATION! So hilars. Anyway, it was rude and obnoxious. If that minor of a mishap throws the joint into that much panic and chaos, maybe they should spend less time mocking paying customers and more time learning how to process a refund. read more

Don't get me wrong. Penn station is by far my favorite food in the cincinnati area. I frequent here regularly, however this penn station was different. I was the first customer in the store, and ordered a simple but delicious philly. I then watched as 8 other people received sandwhichs before they realized they had mixed up tickets. Just enjoyed my first Reuben at PS. It was great! Fries are always good. And they offered me a freshly baked chocolate chip cookie free.

Arrived around 3:00 pm and ordered one meal including a chicken teriyaki sandwich, fries and drink. They were courteous and turned my order around quickly - about 8 minutes. The food always comes out hot and looks great. No mistakes made this time. They also came around to check to be sure everything was okay. Clean environment and great food. My cup for water wasn't a "mini" either which can be frustrating. Cook was thanking people on the way out. Great job Penn Station! read more

I visited this place many times. I tried their parmesan chicken sandwich which i like very much. It has kind of pizza flavour. Plus they cook the chicken onion fresh there, for which their taste is good and different than subways. I like their fresh lemonade too. Also they serve very fast. Only minus point is they dont have different variety of bread or sauces. But i would definitely recommend this place. read more
