This Sonic is the worst I've ever been to. I've frequently had issues in the past so just stopped going. However, several recent successful visits to Arizona Sonics in Prescott Valley and Tolleson made me decide to give my local Sonic a try again. I took my family a week ago (last Sat). We selected everything we wanted on the app. App kept saying the Hemet Sonic was "Closed". We ran some errands and waited till 11:10 am (still showed closed) and when we arrived there were hand written notes posted that the card reader did not work so cash only. I got out and went to the door. I asked if they would grant the half off since we were unable to use the app. The answer was (of course) "no" which is what I expected from this Sonic. I logged onto the app yesterday and there was no indication that Sonic was closed or that they were still having problems so I figured we were good to go. I was on the West end of town today at the car dealership. I took a detour to go to Sonic to pick up some drinks for the family. Pulled into Stall #5 and there was a note saying the card reader was broken. Moved to Stall 8. Logged onto the app and it said "temporarily unavailable ". Really? I'm so done trying to go to the Hemet Sonic or spend my money there. I guess I'll just stick to going to Sonics outside of Hemet. read more

Slowest drive thru EVER. We've spent over 45-50mins in line on multiple occasions. This last time I went 5/21, pulled up to a stall and was told they were only letting food service pick up (Uber eats, Postmates, etc.) get pick up orders at the stalls and was told to get in drive thru line, even though I tried explaining I was there to pick up my mobile order. I finally get to the window after over 30+ mins, and when I told them I was there for a mobile order he tells me to pull into a stall!? I said I wasn't going to be doing that after waiting 30+ mins just to get my order. To top it off he wanted to argue that we had mobile ordered for the San Jacinto location, nope, we pulled it up on our phone and it says "HEMET" read more

We came here tonight and got everything delivered wrong except my ocean water. I ordered the number one cheese burger that usually comes with tomato, lettuce, pickles and onions. I asked them to add mustard and ketchup with jalapeños. They added those but took away everything else. No lettuce , tomatoes , pickles or onions! My boyfriend ordered 2 of the spicy chicken slingers w/ pickles and he got two regular spicy chicken slingers w/ no pickles. I love sonic so much! My carhop Ta'marion was such a gem. So polite and took the time to answer any questions that I had about a menu item that I was interested in. He made sure my order was correct and complete! Not too many people care to do that but this young man does. His service is fast and its always a pleasure to have him as a carhop. Some of the other employees are very rude or they just forget and never bring me my app order! And this had happened twice so far! And happens today! That's bad af! I shouldn't have to wait for an app order that they just dont prepare! They should know when they have an in the app order! We stopped by here after Diamond Lake and I wanted to say I've tried this place. Something about women on roller skates and blades that makes it appealing to me. However, the food wasn't great, the drinks were good and I'm sure that's why they always advertise their drinks and not so much their food. Any fast food place would have beat them in the food department, but their drinks are unique. It was interesting pulling up to this board that talks to you and then you pay via credit card on it. In the middle of nowhere and I was grumpy and hungry... At the time, Sonic sounded good for TTs (tater tots) and a slushy. We did the drive thru option as we didn't want to sit in the car in the sweltering heat. Being the lightweight that I am, I opted for the jr. cheeseburger kids meal ($4). I chose the taters and cherry slushy with my meal. Extra star for options! I felt like the burger was all bread and that the TTs had been sitting out. The slushy isn't how I remembered it the first time I had it, unfortunately. This fast food option is "different" with a roller skating person bringing out your order and that you dine in your vehicle. Worth to check out once. Note: Bathrooms are super cold. Sonic Drive-in is one of my favorite places to stop by for an iced lemonade freeze and pretzel twist!! (When I don't have my kids with me) when I have my kids... we basically order everything else and stay and hang out a while while. We really like Hemet Sonic. They're so inexpensive and efficient. She didn't offer a coupon or discount or anything. We received our food everything was cold and tasted old. We ordered sweet teas and got unsweet. By far the very worst customer service, if you want to call it that, I have EVER encountered and I am 69 years old. They forgot an item on my order after insisting that it was there, I called and left messages twice to the store and no call back, had to call corporate offices which is a 3rd party joke. (Note: companies that have to use 3rd party call centers to take care of issues do so because they have far too many to take care of themselves and this is due to the many problems created at the store level. If a store did things right the first time, customer service calls would not be needed!!! Simple, right?) Anyway, got the run around from the corporate level. Was told to go back to store next dy and they would replace missing items. Because the person who called seemed to be sympathetic to my issue, I agreed. I, of course, went back to the store and they knew nothing. The cashier said they would have to talk to a manager but unfortunately the manager was not there. WHAT, these people working with no manager? That is just trouble bait in my opinion) So, back to corporate where after a day, I get a call back (NOTHING ever happens in real time of course) and was told that I would receive a refund. I made my purchase on Jan 6, it is now Jan 16, no refund, no call backs, nothing. It is the policy of Keep the Money IN Place. i literally live on the far EAST side of Hemet & i drive over here for Sonic. I order ON THE APP when we're on our way in hopes that it would be ready when we get there. THINK AGAIN!!! it's another 45 min wait EVERY SINGLE TIME. the manager was rude when she spoke with us...another 15 min went by we pushed the button again & she said "they're coming !!" they forgot food & added stuff we didn't order. know what that means? you have to push that stupid red button again & wait for someone to care to speak to you. i can't wait for the new one to open in San Jacinto & for the love of god hoping they're ran better than this one. the one in Menifee is always super fast & they're so nice i don't know what the deal is here but all my experiences are the same. read more

Literally takes 35-45 minutes for your order no matter how small it is. Then after they make you wait all that time...food comes out WRONG and COLD every time! They never fail to FAIL! Fire the 3 workers they have and hire new ones! Or shut it down! read more

Be prepared to wait forever! I don't want to blame the workers since Sonic I'm sure is cutting cost as much as possible but food takes at least about 10 min for drive thru and at least 15 min for car delivery so make sure you have time. I even went to Barstow and they also took at least 15 minutes so they have a habit of taking a while based on other visits. The San Marcos,Ca location is faster. Hire more people Sonic!! read more

Idk what they're doing in there, I waited well over 25 mins just for a shake, I get it that they're busy and all. But it shouldn't be taking that much time to just make a shake that already pre-made, it took them 25 minutes just to do that. me and my partner always love the milkshakes from sonic and we were on that side of town so we decided to orders some from sonic on sanderson. when we got to the window my partner paid with his card but card was locked and had forgotten to unlock his card from his phone so when he remembered he unlocked it and crew member came out and said card was declined. we said sorry can you try again it was locked, she responded very rudely "i tried it twice already, it declined". my partner said "i just unlocked it can you try again". she took a long pause as if she didn't want to try again. everything was good and she basically rushed us on our way. we are trying to enjoy it milkshakes when we realize are shakes had not much flavoring, that was not really the problem...we dumped out our milkshake because it was very plain when we had asked for reese's and strawberry milkshake, my partner notice something long coming out of his shake and it was a long piece of hair. I get there about 4mins before I said I would be there. Checked in. They started my order. 8 mins later, the screen says carhop( name withheld) was on their way. 10 minutes later i get my order. I get 2 44oz regular ice coffee and a corndog with 3 ketchup only. REALLY? TWO ITEMS AND BOTH ARE WRONG...Not to mention late after being told that it's on the way . Came to sonic and the drive thru was down but they never came out to let everyone else in line know it was down so people were getting of line to use the self serve parking spots.
