In a world full of franchises, this diner is the last of its kind...a real gem for those of us want an old fashioned burger and fries!

I stopped by Chris Burger for Saturday dinner and ordered the gyro sandwich along with fried mushrooms as an appetizer. The fried mushrooms were good and came with ranch dressing. The gyro sandwich, however, was just average. It had too much sauce, and the overpowering garlic flavor took away from the overall taste. The restaurant was surprisingly quiet for a Saturday dinner service, but the staff was fully staffed, and the service was quick and efficient. They also have a large menu with plenty of options to choose from. Overall, Chris Burger was a decent experience, but the gyro did not stand out. I would recommend trying the restaurant if you enjoy having many menu options or want to explore items beyond the gyro. However, based on this visit, I would suggest keeping your expectations moderate and trying a different entrée. I'm willing to return and see whether other menu items are more impressive. read more

Their Pastrami sandwiches are the bomb!!! Except the last visit, a week ago...the pastrami meat was sliced really thick!! I'll give it another shot... It was okay as places go. It is a lot of food, but the price was fair. I'd say it was about $3.50 too high for what you get. It's definitely a little divey, but clean. I got the double cheeseburger combo with fries. As burgers go, it was a little greasy but otherwise tasted okay. The fries were pretty much average. I was hoping the food would be much better based on ratings here. They do have a huge menu with American and Mexican favorites. I would maybe try the Mexican food next time, if there is a next time. Fries are always well seasoned and delicious, no soggy fries here, if you're into that lol Ambience is casual/laid back. They have a family pack of 4 burgers w 4 drinks for $27.99 which is stellar. yesterday, i went in and I was treated so well, but a few weeks ago I was treated so disrespectfully, and terribly by one of the cashiers, the one with the big lashes, and big attitude. Her tone was very rude and dismissive for it to be THAT slow. And it wasn't just me, it was with every customer that came in that day!! Tasty little hidden gem when you are cruisin through winchester! We stopped here for lunch on our way to hemet and it was super packed for lunch time! Staff is friendly and the food is fresh! Cute little diner with outdoor seating. Clean restrooms too! I had the cheeseburger meal with zuchinni sticks and my friend had a burger and we also ordered a side of onion rings - LOL and believe me..it was massive. For starters, the ranch is money! We stopped here, mainly based on the recommendations of Yelp elites, and we were not disappointed, especially since it was midway through a 110 mile drive and our legs and backs needed some stretching. Two simple diner lunches, a cheeseburger with fries and a grilled cheese with a side orzos onion rings. The cheeseburger was ok, a little on the dry side, probably because the patties were thin and fried on a flattop. The French fries were awesome, tasty and large and soft on the inside. The grilled cheese was just ok, not as crispy on the outside of the bread as I would have liked. The onion rings were a huge order, fried nicely but lacking a little in flavor, but the ranch dip made up for that. There is a drive-thru if you need it, plenty of parking if eating in. You order at the counter and the food is quickly brought to your table. It's a very large menu board, though paper copies are available. Meals are available for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We attended a car show and Yelp'd places to eat nearby. Chris's came up so we decided to check it out. Cute little hole in the wall burger joint. They offer a variety of menu items, such as burritos, burgers, breakfast food and so much more. There is something for everyone here! You cannot beat the prices here, it's cheaper than Temecula and Murrieta prices and the food is flavorful. Service is expeditious and friendly. I finally got to try this place yesterday 2/18/2025. What have I been missing this all this time! I chose to walk in and place an order because I also needed to use the restroom. Parking is plentiful and the restaurant was large with plenty of seating. They have a large menu with pretty much everything. From burgers to burritos, to breakfast plates and dinner plates and everything in between. I chose a California burrito which came out to right under 15 bucks. I placed my Order and headed over to the bathroom which was very clean. I wasn't in there for more than 2 mins and came out and they were already finishing up my burrito. I grabbed my order and let me tell you that bag was heavy. MASSIVE MASSIVE burrito which was tasty and had plenty of favor. Next time I'm gonna try out a burger when I'm in the mood for one. This restaurant saved me when we were having electrical blackouts. I think the food is good. The coffee is definitely good ! My recommendation is that every now and then I think they need to clean their grill a little more or maybe they clean the grill but there's still some chemicals on it???
