I truly try to focus on the good. Unfortunately people make it difficult. This Sonic location is already challenged as it sits on an extremely difficult section of highway. Hard to get in and out due to the extremely high volume of traffic during the lunch hours. Not sure who is hiring people here, but regular evaluation should be a common practice. How about maybe "secret shopping" to understand the first impression your consumers are faced with. Vast improvement needed on a "friendly face" /communication with customer. Attitude came through as brash when taking order and seemed as if we were imposing. Person was talking way too fast and extremely loud, too. Recently placed a large order, online, at the Sonic on 8th Av. in Nashville. I can state, unequivocally, that it was the worst fast-food experience of what's become a pretty long life, so when I say it was the worst, that's saying something. The food was ready when it was supposed to be, it wasn't hot, the orders were not complete--we got bacon cheese burgers without bacon. Tried to call the location, couldn't get through. Communicated with the online Sonic service dept.--and service isn't a word to describe that dept. They offered us a free item with our next order. That does me no good, there won't be a next order. My advice--do not order from this location. If you don't take that advice, at least fully inspect your order if you are taking the food away and don't want to make a return trip to get what you really ordered and paid for. read more

Had to press the button and wait again to ask where our order was, was told it was going "right out the door". Arrived 15 minutes after that. People need to order ahead on the app, it is mindless to sit and wait when you can order online, get half price drinks all day, and then when you arrive it is ready to pickup within 5 minutes or less. They have the best Happy Hour from 6am to 10am and then again 2pm to 4pm..$1 for large drinks...tea, sodas and slushies...any flavor...and I am mad crazy over the Sweetened or unsweetened Iced tea with Blackberry flavoring!!! LOVE IT!!! When I am not on a diet, I like their Corn Dogs for $1 (every day all day)...but NOT a good idea when I am dieting. When my daughter visits she loves the Slushies....Great Car Hop...some on rollerskates at certain locations...but not this one!!!! read more

Probably hands down the worst fast food establishment I've visited in the entire city of Nashville. With every interaction with the employees here, you can truly tell that they hate their lives. This will be very evident, because they will always take it out on you. I've also never been here without them messing something up, then it's pulling teeth for them to correct it. If you do end up coming here, I do not recommend being sober. The quicker you forget your experience at this restaurant the better! As much as I love the Sonic chain as a whole, they should truly clean the house with their staff here or just close the location as a whole. Exactly what you'd expect for a fast food chain. The food and drinks are decent but nothing special. The "Texas Toast" is just regular toast, but it doesn't taste bad. This location is always hot and cold. And most times it's on the cold side. The good visits consist of just normal expectations for Sonic food. Decent corn dogs and refreshing limeades. The bad visits, well, are extremely disappointing. One visit the cheese on my cheese fries were dry. This is supposed to be melted cheese. Nope, it was dry nasty cheese that look like it was rejected an hour ago. The visit that led me to this review were forgotten tots, a chicken strip the size of 1 inch long (seriously?!) and a cherry limeade that was flat, unfavorably not sweet, and disgusting. For starters, we got accosted by some folks wanting my fiance to drive down the street and fill up their tank with gas. Perhaps it's expected from the neighborhood, but c'mon. Look, if I'm going to stray from my healthy eating habits and blow it out on a burger and tots, they should be damn good. Steaming hot, crispy on the outside and potatoe-y on the inside, golden brown, and a little bit greasy. These were cold, only light brown, and wouldn't have left a spot on my silk shirt if I had left it there to soak for weeks. Not worth the calories. As for the burger - I remembered a Sonic burger to be a delicious ratio of patty to bun. Perhaps in some drunken stupor I ordered a Super Sonic which is twice the patty. This sonic is just terrible. I went there the other day at 10pm and spent about 10 minutes deciding what I wanted to order. After I clicked the button to order, the screen displayed "a server will be with you shortly". So I sat and waited about 10 minutes before I started to get irritated. I then went up to the window and there was no one inside! So i just wasted my time and had to go get Mcdonald's instead. No hard feelings really, I gave this Sonic another chance the next day at 10:30pm. For starters, I don't like leaving yelp reviews and I never have, this is my first ever. But I felt this location gave me no choice but to leave a review at this point and if I could leave a 0 star review I would. This sonic location is by far the worst location I've ever visited, they are slow, lazy, un-attentive, and a lot of times just downright disrespectful. I have been to this sonic over 30 times now because it is right next door to my apartment and I can honestly say they have gotten my order wrong basically every time I go, and that's fine I have patience for that but it's the disrespectful and sometimes condescending way that they handle issues and requests that is not good customer service at all. It's like they think all of their customers are enemies that they need to treat a certain way out of spite. I wanted to speak to the manager of the establishment about recent troubles but I assumed that the manager is probably fine with their workers acting this way considering it is so consistently bad. I want to stop visiting this location but it's hard to when it's the only quick option next to my home that's open late. I could go on for a lot longer about the different issues with this sonic location but I've already wasted enough of my time having to write this review, just do better, it's that simple. read more
