This is the slowest Cracker Barrel I have every been to. When we came for breakfast it was a little better and the service was great but dinner was trash. Dinner service was a mess. Not only did they take forever to make the food, but once the food came they immediately gave us out checks and tried to rush us out. The restaurant was clean enough and the bathroom was clean. Haven't eaten at a Cracker Barrel in a few years and I was alittle disappointed this morning. They have stopped the complimentary basket of biscuits! The service was slow. We ordered coffee with cream, she brought 2 cups of coffee a d 2 creamers. The coffee was cold and needed lots of cream and sugar to make it drinkable. We ordered our breakfast and it took about 20 minutes before it arrived at the table. My entire breakfast was cold! My husbands meal was supposed to Come with biscuits and gravy, so I asked the server about it and she said "well if he wants biscuits I can bring him one". Food was great but the service and wait time were unacceptable. I visit this location on a busy afternoon, made busier by a large conference that was in the area and that was I was a part of. We selected Cracker Barrel because of the consistency of the food and we're excited to see the fried chicken special. We sat down, and we waited, and we waited, and we were finally brought menus by our original server. She then disappeared in another server, asked us for our drink order. We were never brought any cornbread muffins or biscuits and I actually had to ask for them. It was approximately one hour and 10 minutes from the time you seated by the time we received our specials while other tables around us that had arrived later, but ordered different items were served and actually departed. We could tell that our server was very fluster, but really could give us no idea of when our food was coming, and we were on the brain of deciding to leave and try someplace else when our food arrive. My husband and I went to the West Nashville Cracker Barrel about a month ago. Our server was Danesha, and she did an incredible job. She was very nice, friendly and didn't miss a step. We never had to ask her for anything. I'm not in the habit of submitting a lot of reviews, but when someone does a great job,it's good to show your appreciation. We were there again last week and she was not our server, but we watched her zooming all over the place and noticed how well she was juggling her duties. I'm not even sure where to start. It took 10 minutes to be acknowledged by our server. We ordered two eggs over-medium, grits, bacon, biscuits, a Diet Coke, and coffee. When the food arrived, the eggs were over-easy instead of over-medium. We sent them back, but they came back the same way--still over-easy. Frustrated, we decided to just eat them rather than deal with more back-and-forth. To make matters worse, my fiancé's coffee arrived with a spoon in it, and when he pulled it out, there was some kind of residue on it. We had to send that back as well. Given its prime location across from the Gaylord Opryland, this restaurant has the potential to serve countless guests from the resort. Unfortunately, it fell far short of expectations. After being sat for breakfast, we waited for at least 15 minutes before anyone even came to our table. When our food finally came, it was almost cold...besides most everything being wrong. We thought they had delivered someone else's food to us. Finally the manager got involved and it only got worse. She went back and brought our food to us in bits and pieces instead of full plates...still mostly wrong food order. It took her three trips to the table before she decided to actually write down what was ordered. After all this long wait and inconvenience, she presented the bill to us requesting an 18% tip. Nashville Opryland Store # CB0013. Our server was DJ who CLEARLY didn't want to be at work. She forgot three of our sides, had to ask twice for refills for our drinks She was rude when we asked twice for some lemon slices for our waters. She told us to "Just give her a minute ". Which was about 10 mins to see her again. We also had to flag a different server just to get a box for our grandsons meal. We normally get great service at every Cracker Barrel we visit. This one.... This Cracker Barrel is a short walk away from Opryland. While I did not have a meal here, I stopped in to check out their store, which was filled with an array of items, including Nashville souvenirs and specialty food items like Goo Goo Clusters and Moon Pie, which are both Tennessee products. If you are picking up some souvenirs, I would visit this Cracker Barrel's store if the Opryland souvenir shops do not appeal to you. read more

The ambiance was just like every Cracker Barrel, old and "southern" ohh it just tickles me every time I see it ! The food. Grilled chicken tenders-- theese were Verry good, just how I remembered them! Grandmas platter -- you could also say the "maw maw platter" my granddaughter got this and she said " a lot of food .... Delicious " Chicken dumplings -- my granddaughter's husband got this and he said " it was good " He had dry awnser kind of like the "country" food he makes ! Grandpa special -- my great grandson got this and he said " it was just like all the other Cracker Barrel's he has been to" you can't beat that it's just a classic. The host/greeter show the most grateful, beautiful merciful customer service I ever experience that was my first time here and I'm from Memphis. We have plenty of Cracker Barrel there. This team made me want to become a member and even when I became one I got free food for the first time thank you thank y'all. We had a really terrible experience here. The food took almost an hour to arrive. I ordered an egg sandwich and when it arrived there was a hair on my plate. They took it and offered to make a new one but after waiting an hour I requested it to be taken off the bill. This was our last day in Nashville and we decided to try Cracker Barrel for the first time! We were a bit hesitant because of the reviews but Miss Pamela made us feel right at home! She was very nice and gave a suggestions for our meals choices which were delicious! I ordered the country fried steak, mashed potatoes, corn and apples and the hubby ordered the fried chicken special with loaded mashed potatoes and turnip greens. The food was good but standards were lacking. Our server looked like Red Foreman with a French tip manicure. He sat down twice at our table 2 different times complaining the he was tired from exercising. He forgot part of our order and at some point stopped all communication with us. I had to ask 3 times to set down some items down to avoid breaking them because the cashier was on her phone and not paying attention. Management was informed of both of these issues. Aside from that, after glancing the menu, I can say the CEO making all the changes is a complete idiot who has no idea about marketing or working within the brand. Adding wine to a menu of comfort food doesn't work. I don't see anyone ordering the chicken fried steak with a glass of pino Grigio. Making changes within a brand need to FIT the brand! Cracker Barrel's brand and food offerings were made for families, retired people, and people looking for good food at an affordable price. I don't believe the CEO has ever set foot in a Cracker Barrel. She's never observed the operations of any location, or even had a meal at one of these restaurants. In an area that is really void of great places to eat (Gaylord is mediocre and over priced, every where around is an overhyped chain), this place has some nice employees, very kind and helpful, and the food was reasonably priced and a good value. Went here twice on a business trip. Once for dinner and had a decent country fried steak and gravy. Nice steak, good amount of pepper and the gravy had good flavor. I travel for work and I have gone to dozens of Cracker Barrel's across the US. This one is the worts one in the lower 48! Do not waste your time even going in the door. They had No line, no crowd, waited 23 minuits after being seated, nobody came to take my drink order, food order, or to say boo. Nothing at all so after wasting 25 full minuits of my life,I went down the street to the Santa Fe Steak House and was waited on in less then a minuit after being seated. I certainly did not appreciate the lack of service. We had been waiting over an hour long to get our food. The waitress never came to our table to check up on us to see how we were doing. Tables that were empty when we came in, had people seated eventually & were done eating and we were still waiting for our food. When I asked the waitress the wait time on our food, she said she would check in with the kitchen & never came until I stood up & spoke with the host. The waitress later on came with the basket of biscuits that should have been brought shortly after seating not after an hour. The general manager did come to our table & mentioned our food ticket got lost? As a customer it doesn't make sense how no one checked up on how we were doing or acknowledged that we had been seated over an hour & not receive our food. After waiting even more, we asked our food to be packed to go. Several minutes went by & again no one came. Again the lack of attentiveness & service really pushed our patience so we stood up & left. We looked like fools for waiting on something that was not going to happen, it almost felt like no one wanted us there. I truly believe this occurred because we are Latinas, I can't seem to help justify this unfortunate experience if we are the only people in the room that look different from everyone else & the only ones experiencing this. read more
