Updated Review: TLDR: Price/Reasonable, Service/ Spotty, Food/Improved, Verdict/Decent Late Night Option As far as their price per item is concerned, it has not changed much overtime. They have been consistent with varying levels of what I like to call the "Taco Tuesday Mentality," which, in no uncertain terms, is a marketing gimmick put on by an establishment in which they sell one menu item at drastically low cost to entice you to go there, hoping you will buy other, higher priced things. I think it is still Corn dogs, but I could be wrong... While their drink menu is second to none, the food is sometimes hit or miss. I have found after continuing to be a patron in the late evening (when almost all other fast food is closed) that fried food and basic options tend to be the best. The cheeseburgers are still lack luster but it is clear that whoever has been managing the clean up crew is doing g a way better job of maintaining their deep fryers and as such the consistency add quality has been improving over time. The service is generally slow, and even though it makes sense because of the variety and specificity you can give to your orders (which they are pretty consistent at getting right) , I still wish it wouldn't take 15 minutes to get though the drive through line to pay. Depending on the day and time, it has been MUCH longer. All that aside, I feel that the night crew's customer Service has improved in the last year and it seems they no longer try to pass off food that should have been distressed (I.e. hotdogs way past their prime) to their drive though customers anymore. Overall, Sonic is a good late night option, and also a decent happy hour drink stop. I wouldn't choose them before 9 pm as a dinner option because there are just better choices. However, if beverage variety and fried food are what you are craving, then by all means, look no further. We have eaten at Sonic's across the country and each one has been very good. Yes at times things have gone sideways but they always make it right. Decided to give this one a second chance as the first time was meh. We pulled in, there was no one in the drive through and one other car in a stall. That's it. So we push the button. Nothing happens. We wait, 3min still waiting. So I push the button again. Still waiting and now we are at 7min. So I hit the button again and I hear "I heard you the first time stop pushing the button". Not what I expected to hear as always it's "Welcome to Sonic how can I help you". So we order. Remember only 2 cars in the whole place and they left after we ordered. It was a normal 3 burgers, tots, chicken strip things, 4 drinks. Simple but I guess I when you are not too busy a single order can really mess up your day. We waited, and waited and after 15min. I again hit the button. "What!" Was what I heard. And when I asked if there was any chance of getting our food soon I got dead silence. About 5min. later out comes the runner. They hand us the drinks and bags of food and spin and take off. Not "do you need anything else etc..." just gone. We check the food, it was missing 2 tots and the burgers were stone cold. Kinda hard to believe because it took so long I would have thought they had butchered the cow and made fresh burger patties and cooked them on the spot. NOPE! These looked like a day old hockey puck. Slathered in what ever they put on to hide the fact these were not fresh cooked. I again hit the button (I guess I have a death wish), I got "Now what?" I said the food is cold and we are missing 2 tots. The response I got was amazing "Everything was in the bags when we sent it out, it was all hot and fresh", so I asked can you please refire the order and bring out fresh please? That's where I guess I was asking way too much and they said "It was all there hot and fresh and they were not going to do that because they know we are trying to get free food" Let me tell you, if you know anything about Sonic, they will remake the order and you give them back the bad food. Good policy to avoid getting scammed. Needless to say I dumped all the food in the trash and we headed down the street to eat and another place with better service and food. I'm extremely disappointed and honestly disturbed with my recent visit to this sonic. While enjoying what i thought would be a treat for my nephew and I, he bit into something hard only to find a large chunk of plastic imbedded in the ice cream. This wasn't a tiny piece either; it was a significant piece that could've easily been swallowed or caused a choking hazard. This could have resulted in serious harm and it raises real concerns about how well this sonics monitors cleanness and quality control. read more

I think I figured it out. When Sonic moved here from California, they forgot to bring the service and most of the food. All 3 locations near me share the same looooong wait times and sub-par food. Ordered two double smash burgers and what we got were two double overcooked burnt leather burgers. The meat was so charred and tough you could hardly even bite them! THIS is the Sonic we remember. The kiosks worked, the people taking orders friendly and the food good. No drinks smelling like vape or marijuana. No one scared to eat their food 'cause it smells like dirty hands & smoke. We ordered our food, the friendly lady who knew how to take our order did it correctly, we paid for our food and left. The employees were clean shaved (men), nice looking and well dressed. I could tell the owner was trying to keep the place nice despite the local rif-raff spraying graffiti on the outside. Whoever painted over it did a mediocre job but at least they were trying to have a respectable restaurant establishment. Thank you Sonic for the pleasant service and good food. These kids working here have horrible customer service and communication skills. We ordered 2 slushies one cherry limeade and one grape nerds. Without hesitation the guy hands us WATER with nerds in the bottom. No seriously. No ice, just water. We stop him and say "that's the slushie?" "Yes" "that's just water..." he takes it back without saying anything and disappears for 6 minutes and comes back with an unmixed 1/2 water 1/2 ice "grape" slushie with the flavor only in the bottom of the water. I took a video of it. I wish I would have taken a video of the 1st attempt which was straight water no ice. The cherry limeade was at least mixed, but still not a slushie. Who serves a slushie in a clear thin plastic cup? There are so many things wrong here. Sonic usually serves this drink in styrofoam to keep it frozen while drinking. Also how do you with pride and a straight face hand a customer water with flavor at the bottom the first time, and 1/2 ice 1/2 water with flavor on the bottom the second time and think that kind of quality is acceptable? This is why this business is failing, because these people do not care about their customers or quality of their items. We wanted to go back to get our money refunded but you can't go into the location you have to go back through the drive through which already took 15 minutes to get through and another 10 minutes just getting the drinks, so we said forget it. Got the number 7, which is a garlic bacon cheeseburger. I think! Besides that the patty was undercooked, the bun was oily/soggy, the drink was watered down & the tots were hella salty. I would avoid this location at all costs. It is sad, because this used to be a good place. Back in April I placed an order using the Ubereats app and all was going well until the driver arrived on location. They were informed that they never received the order. The driver called me and handed me over to the Sonic employee who relayed this directly. The employee told me I should just cancel the order, that Uber would be fine with it. This used to be one of the better Sonics but in the recent year or so, the restaurant has been so understaffed that drive through is your only option is drive-thru. The last experience was someone mumbling so I started to order. Only for the employee to yell at me to wait. I enjoy the occasional slush, but my last slush was so poorly put together that I ended up taking it home and blending it. Even then, there was nothing lemony about it. I asked for a lemonade slush with lemon and received a slush where all the strawberry was glopped at the bottom and not even an essence of lemon. If you're understaffed, cut your hours or increase your pay so you can function as a full-service operation. Don't operate regular hours and provide horrible service. I love sonic blasts. I drive 5 miles 1 way to get to this location. But have found after dinner hrs the service is pitiful. Many times this store has closed it doors before closing time. One time (2 hrs before closing) after we sat in an active drive thru for at least 15 minutes when others were ordering and getting food, when we reached the order box was told "sorry, we're closed." Very abrupt and would not respond when we tried to get an explanation. Just cut us off. Last night we drove all the way out there and waited to order. It has now been a week with no response from Sonic about an issue I had. My wife and I drove thru, on our way to Bible study, and our order was wrong. I ordered a hotdog with no onions, yet they tried to put onions on it. Thankfully they mentioned it when I paid so I was able to correct that. I also ordered a large cheese sticks, for my wife and I to share, which they charged me for. Instead of giving us the cheese sticks though, they gave us a small fry, which was NOT ordered. Every time I come here the employees never get the orders right and they always have an attitude. When you order your food they stay talking in the back joking around staring and laughing from the window but then when it comes to getting your food nothings ever right, things are missing and then they have attitude when you inform them of the mistake.
