Every time I come here the employees never get the orders right and they always have an attitude. When you order your food they stay talking in the back joking around staring and laughing from the window but then when it comes to getting your food nothings ever right, things are missing and then they have attitude when you inform them of the mistake. If you guys spent the time you did talking behind the line about the orders and how to put them out correct you wouldn't be having issues with your accuracy and quality. I would give it zero stars if I could. The service was terrible. It took us an hour at the service spot for us to give up and go through the long drive thru. The dude there was very dirty and didn't look like he had good hygiene. The burgers were like school cafeteria level and rubbery and the tots were basically frozen out of a bag into the oven not even good tots. I drove up to the drive thru waiting for five minutes, no answer. I proceeded to drive up to the window, tell the worker their speaker box wasn't working, the lady said we have one headphone. One of the worst "fast food" experiences I've ever had. I arrived at Sonic at 8:30, there was a little line in the drive thru and a few cars peppered throughout the drive-in stalls on both sides of the establishment, but I wouldn't say they were slammed by any means. I ordered at 8:45, at the latest, and proceeded to wait for one combo meal, one separate cheeseburger, and a shake. A car pulls up next to us and orders. At 9:05 the car next to us, the one that arrived after us, gets multiple bags of food and drinks delivered to them. I press the call button and tell them I've been waiting for 20 minutes, the signage said they had already delivered my order, and the people who arrived after me already have their food. The guy I talked to had no clue of what was going on. Then the car hop delivers a SECOND order to the car next to me, so I ask what's the deal? He goes in and checks and says it should be out in a few minutes. At 9:22 I finally get my order and the car hop asks if I'd like a free meal receipt. I gladly accept, thinking at least they're trying to make it right. When the car hop comes back he informs me his manager denied the free meal coupon. I was beyond upset, so I left rather than make the situation worse and decided I write some reviews instead. Awful customer service, then to top it off my cheeseburger was nothing but a charred, hard, puck-like piece of meat. I'll never go back. I'd advise you to eat elsewhere, too. You can get the same stuff at other establishments. Besides, Baskin & Robbins makes better shakes and I'd even argue DQ does better as well. This place just sucks on so many levels, starting with management. If the management sucks, how can the rest of the place be any good. Worst. Place. Ever. Avoid!!! I was just in the drive thru and ordered a chicken sandwich. What I received was a small piece of chicken on a regular kids bun with a bunch of pickles and a few shreds of lettuce. This is not their amazing crispy chicken sandwich. When I asked about it the gentleman helping me was great he went in to ask about it but was told that was it. Last week when i got a banana shake it was really runny not like their thick shakes as before. I guess things have changed since last week. This was a treat for me that i looked forward to at the end of a crazy week. But now I guess I will have to find someplace else to get a crispy chicken sandwich and thick banana shakes. I don't know what has happened to Sonic. I am so dissatisfied with the Sonic in Puyallup. Last summer my grandson and I waited in the drive-up line for at least a half hour in the heat. I rarely write hateful reviews. But here I go. I hate Sonic. I hate Sonic for the following reasons: 1) When you pull in off the main road, you are confronted with an obnoxious sign that says "Staging Area 30-Minute Wait". Give me a break. This is a crappy fast food joint that happens to be a novel thing in the Puget Sound area. It is not a destination spot. 2) If you're the type of person who, like everyone else, appreciates Sonic's Cherry Limeaid but doesn't think Sonic is or should be a destination spot, and you try to park over by the bank so you can walk up and place your order, prepare yourself for the dumbest set-up ever. Sonic is 100 percent reliant on drive-though style speakers - even if you try to walk up and place your order - that are situated in opposing fashion so that people are standing there screaming into each other's faces to place their orders. And, because the order takers don't have a hard enough time hearing what the order givers are saying because the order givers are screaming into each other's faces, Sonic has decided that it's a good idea to have ambient music piping out through some other crappy speakers. 3) You can try and order whatever you want. They will get your order wrong. And, if that diet Cherry Limeaid seems too awesome to be diet? Guess what? It's not. 4) Yes, yes, yes. The Cherry Limeaid is amazing. But you can make it yourself at home with any one of the million knock-off recipes out there. The food, however, sucks. The food sucks. Let me repeat what I am saying. The food SUCKS. It sucks. The burgers look like they've been stepped on, the fries are soggy, everything is lukewarm. If I had to pick just one burger place to go in the Puget Sound area, for an amazing caloric splurge that is worth every dollar spent on gas, I'd go to Red Mill Burgers (dubbed one of the top 20 burgers you must eat before you die by both Oprah Winfrey and GQ Magazine). A close second, which would save you a ton of money in gas, is Friesenburger's on 308 E. 26th St. in Tacoma, Washington. (but be prepared to spend all day at the gym the next day frantically trying to work off "The Friesenburger"). 5) The roller skating thing is absurd. Sonic is known for their classic old school drive up! Employees on roller skates and all! Which is a fun concept! Could be a great place! The have a pretty cool happy hour! It's something fun for the kids and adults! Half price shakes, drinks and a few menu items after 8. Not many fast food places have happy hour so I do enjoy that! They always have new shakes! Tonight I tried the peanut butter Oreo.... However most of the peanut butter was half down the cup on the side and 75%of the Oreo was at the bottom still in untouched cookie form. So I had a vanilla shake really. The wait to this place is ridiculously time consuming and there isn't really more traffic than a double drive through McDonald's. It's a constant complaint. The food isn't my fav. My kids like the chili dogs so we come for them, but the food is not to par , usually cold and made wrong. It's a joke in our car how many items we will have to send back for being wrong. The management team should really take a better look at the team as a whole and find a solution for these issues. read more

Having lived in the South I am used to having Sonic just across town. I can't wait for a hot summer day now that the plethora of beverage options are now within reach... smoothies, slushy coffey creamy goodness. The staff was amazing. They are using an empty lot next door for "staging"... what does that mean? There were 40 cars waiting for the drive through and 15 waiting for car hop service when I pulled in. the 5th star is for the efficiency of planning and enthusiasm that everyone had for their job. All of the employees were friendly and happy and bubbly... from the manager passing out samples to the car wranglers keeping the slots filled and David the Drive Through master! Yes, this was the 2nd day and the new restaurant feel will wear off, but they have a great start and with summer coming little chance that boredom will set in. I did not expect a car hop to bring out my Drive Through order, but she was very friendly (did I mention everyone was friendly :-)!) and appeared to enjoy the challenge of balancing orders while rolling along. I had the chicken sandwich on Texas toast. The bread was very soft on the underside and crispy on the outside. The cutlet was covered in a slightly peppery breading and fried (this is Sonic after all) and was covered in a generous pile of diced lettuce and mayo with a juicy slice of tomato. I took the tater tot option and was happy to taste that they were lightly salted and not greasy. My limeade had 3 large sections of fresh lime and was refreshingly tangy. read more

HORRIBLE Why isn't there a ZERO star? Went thru drive thru. My first and LAST TIME to Sonic. It was just after 11pm when I ordered so I waited. and waited and waited. Ok, fine.... maybe they were winding down and don't get too many customers the last HOUR that they are open. (Because I called after to verify they close at Midnight ) No biggie... more than 12 mins to get my burger and tater tots and they were COLD!!! Are you kidding me?? Nope- not kidding. $12 bucks for drive thru crap food that is cold. Thank goodness for air fryers to warm it up when I got home, but it was still so bad I took 2 bites and threw it away. Ended up eating tomato soup Cuz I was starving. BOO SONIC!!! YOU SUCK. Too bad because you are only 2 blocks from my house and it would have been nice to have a decent burger so close but I'll stick to McDonalds or Red Robin that are each much farther away but have way better food. We waited for over 15 minutes and were TWO CARS away from the speaker and a girl came up to the car saying rudely, it's 10:59 they're closing at 11 and the person at the speaker was the last one getting helped! There were only 3 other cars in line. They should've just cut the line off behind the people who had been waiting instead of wasting everyone's time. I have always had a soft spot for sonic. I love their drinks and shakes most of all. But this location has really been great. The service is super fast no matter how many cars there are in line. Ive recently tried a sonic hot dog and im always tempted to try a new one each time I go. The drinks are always good ! The little pretzels with cheese are yummy. Went through the drive thru last night on my way home because I'm pregnant and wanted a strawberry milkshake. I get to the window and the young blonde gal seemed pretty frazzled. She asked if i ordered the strawberry shake, and I said yes, and paid for it. I head home with my shake (I live in Auburn so it isn't close by) and I'm driving down 167 and i take a couple of drinks of this shake, and it tastes terrible and obviously isn't what I ordered. At this point I wait until I'm safely home and off the road to open the lid, and it's definitely a strawberry icee of some sort. So I'm disappointed because in my pregnant state of mind, I wanted an ice cream shake. Well it gets better because I start to not feel well, and I end up getting sick. The Chicken Tenders I had I thought were pretty good, also had the Cheesecake bites they have been advertising as I wanted to try them, they were good and the Strawberry dipping sauce I thought was also good. I went with a Cherry slushy drink, probably should of went with the smoothie instead. Wife went with a hot dog and liked it, and mellow yellow drink. In regards to service, they were fast in getting us the order, girl on her skates and all and was very helpful :) The place is not as busy when it first opened, They have a lot next to them that was a overflow lot, and for the first 4-5 months it was open they had that filled and it was a 2-3 hour wait JUST to be able to order your food! Yikes. 30 minutes in line for 2 medium slushies with nerds. Paid $1.20 extra for the nerds, $8 total and left a couple bucks as a tip. My drink didn't have any nerds and both were completely melted by the time we finally got to the window.
