After I had already eaten some of my burger, I realized the meat was very pink inside, even though the patty was super thin. I stopped in here on a whim for lunch, and overall, it was a great experience! The woman at the counter was super nice and accommodating. This burger place has been here since I was a little girl, not sure exactly how long. I am 53 years old now. I was reading some of the reviews and I have got to say this place IS CLEAN, it looks like it should for being there forever. The staff is always nice, yes the parking lot may be a little different but you can park safely in their parking lot. As for the neighborhood, it's in town amongst some other small businesses, it is not an unsafe neighborhood. I go here a few times a year when I want a good burger that is reasonably priced. Where to start? First off the staff here is always and I mean always awesome I think that plays a big part in this burger joint's success. Secondly this place has mastered consistency it don't matter if I go once a month or every 6 months the food is ALWAYS hot and never ever had veggies that were wilted or not fresh. If you are looking for a fun local casual place to grab burgers and shakes this is it! This is your regular walk in neighborhood burger and trick joint. There is no AC and they have about seven different booth, seating areas and high tops to sit at if you wish to eat there. I will say it is not the cleanest or safest place due to not having AC or most sanitary looking place. However, the service was great and I was able to get a milkshake quickly. Be careful of the neighborhood, the parking lot was kind of sketchy with the demographics around and at the establishment. I would recommend grabbing the food as take out. read more

Even though I am a Tacoma native and this place has seemingly been a Tacoma institution for longer than I've been alive, Jubilee absolutely SUCKS! I remember visiting while I was in high school 3 blocks away at Lincoln and it sucked then. Filthy and grungy with roaches crawling around on the floor. At some point, they closed their doors, and I thought finally, that place is gone but then, they re-emerged somehow. My mom who lives far away has nostalgia for the place's ice cream cones and so we stopped by today while she was in town for her to scratch that itch and when we entered, there was a woman at the counter who did not greet us. She was not polite, she merely said without even looking up that she would not be taking orders for at least 15 minutes. I asked her to repeat that for clarification and she replied, "shift change. No orders for 15 minutes!" in an almost rude way this time. I then asked if that was just from her or if the entire staff was undergoing a shift change trying to see if any one of the other workers who were present could possibly take an order and she grumpily replied again, "make it at least 20 minutes, no orders for 20 minutes" almost as if to chastise us for asking our questions. That was enough for us to turn around and walk out. I don't know if she is just an employee or if she is part of the ownership however, I don't know too many small business owners who like to see business turn around and walk out the door. This lady could be costing Jubilee money and possible return customers on a daily basis. I definitely won't be back, but I never go there anyway. Mom was disappointed though and for me that seals the deal. I always drive by Jubilee but never tried it until recently. The interior can totally use an upgrade as it doesn't look the cleanest. There are some booths and tables around for seating. It was quite warm inside due to no AC in the building. I was disappointed with the employee at the front counter. Sure, he got off his phone to take our order, but proceeded to get back on his phone right in front of us scrolling on IG or TikTok. He didn't put that phone down for one second. It's rude to have your phone out like that while working. The other employee who was making our two milkshakes made them fresh, but I noticed after he made them, he stored the remaining milkshakes in the fridge. I also observed serval other blenders with milkshakes already in them as well. Aren't these supposed to be made to order? Or are they saving it for themselves for later? Food is good if you're looking for an ordinary burger and crinkle fries. I truly wanted to enjoy Jubilee more, but the employees and what I witnessed with the shakes were a turn off. read more

Service and cleanliness were something to be desired. I refuse to ever spend my money here again. We arrived at 930pm. We typically would choose Burger Ranch across the street, we were trying to spread the love, we won't be doing that again. We were not greeted or welcomed, our cashier had an air of annoyance and I still attempted to tip. She informed me that the owner doesn't put the option on the debit card machine. We had to wipe our own table and it was still sticky. The floor was cluttered with crumbs and trash. The food server thought it was okay to tell us we had 16 minutes to eat as that was when they closed. There were two other individual customers that got to go orders after us and both of those ladies received sub par service.
