Service is incredibly slow. You can go somewhere to sit down and eat before even ordering here. I had to say "Hello" to the drive through speaker for them to acknowledge me. There person taking orders mumbles and was purposefully taking super quiet. The service once to the window was friendly. I really tried with this sonic. I don't know why I still try just let down after let down. Popcorn chicken was a bunch of fried crust with no chicken inside. Strawberry limeade tasted like strawberry soda water. Mozzarella sticks were completely empty. Just empty crust. (Different/ recent visit) which they did remake. And they charged me for onion rings I paid for them, they then told me they didn't have enough onion rings so they gave me undercooked tatie tots. I didn't even complain. I ordered one Sonic Blast and they screwed that up. I told them three times what I wanted and they couldn't get it right.

Horrible. How do you order 2 bacon breakfast burritos and give us a lousy 3 inch burrito with sausage. How hard is it to read a ticket with the simple BACON BURRITO but somehow give 0 bacon and only SAUSAGE! Give my money back. Can't even read why should I pay for shit service. read more

You guys literally suck! Even when it's order ahead it's rare that you will actually be even close to getting it out in a timely manner. Then I haven't visited one time and ordered food recently where you actually had everything I ordered. If I ask for Mustard no I don't want ketchup. If I order mozzarella sticks yes I want marinara so if you are out does it not make sense to say that? Most people eat Mozarella Sticks with Marinara. If I order a pretzel and cheese the courteous thing to do is tell me you are out of cheese. Also If YOU screw up someone's order does it not make sense to rectify it as quickly As possible? Especially after making them already wait?! The guy had us sitting there another 10 minutes on top of the 25 we already waited for our order to come wrong so he could get someone else's order ready and take it out at the same time! Every time I pull up to Soic, I tell myself "DO NOT get their food. It's gross!" and yet I still do every time. It just looks so darn appealing on the menu boards. But whether you get a burger, tots, fries, or chicken fingers, they all taste the same. Sonic's food is always bland and tastless. The drinks are the way to go! Especially Happy Hour from 2-4 and I'm pretty sure there is a night time Happy Hour, too. I love their slushes, freezes, and OceanWater. read more

After 20 years of Sonics visits, as often as daily for many of those years. Only ordered a Route 44 unsweetened iced tea with extra raspberry. Got wrong size and then waited 10 minutes for the Route 44, which came without the extra flavoring. It would have been ok if they were very busy or short-handed, but they weren't. Finally, the server who brought the second drink out asked for the first back so she "can throw it away." read more

This Sonic use to be ok the only problem was that they fry thier tots over and over until they're dry and burnt. On a 06/01/22 3pm visit the tots were burnt and dry and the burger was not fresh. For a $10 meal this is terrible. Everyone is saying that they can't find good help as a poor excuse but this type of service is just inexcusable. read more

It is ridicules how this restaurant opens everyday at 8am and when I arrive around 8:30-8:45 they are never "ready". Management needs to step in and fix the problem because there's no way they aren't ready at 8am everyday no matter how short staff they are. I've been going to this sonic every single year I come back in town since I was a little kid. Normally I always receive amazing service. Today I had the misfortune of dealing with the absolute worse employee I have encountered. FAST service, good food, great prices. I took my mom to lunch today and she really enjoyed their burger and tater tots and my grilled chicken wrap hit the spot (and was fairly healthy). HAD to have my lime slush while I'm town from the west coast. And to top everything off, I got to enjoy a great thunderstorm that rolled over us while we were under-canopy and enjoying our lunch. When we finished, the storm had passed and we were not hungry anymore. What more can you ask for. Our car-hop was stellar on skates and had a GREAT attitude. I tipped her extra for that. She was always nice and cheerful and seemed to really enjoy her work. Kudos to Sonic for good stuff and good people. Very rude in taking my order. Was told that they were out of a particular flavor. I tried ordering another flavor, and was told, with an attitude, "that flavor is only for shakes. All the flavors are on the menu!" I was having trouble seeing the menu. Hopefully this little girl will have better eyes than I, when she gets to my age. Sonic, I love how we can just swipe our card real quick as soon as we order, but I don't like how there isn't an option to tip. Sometimes I don't have the cash on me or just very little. Waited over 15 min to get two small sonic blasts. Two separate customers arrived after us and got their drinks and ice cream. Our electronic board showed that our blasts were ready and the name of the associate was on their way, we waited another 3 minutes, only to see that another customer who arrived after us get their order. Sonic has been around for many years, and have been in the business long enough to know how to do it. The onion rings, though sometimes more greasy than I like, are typically awesome; the onion is sweet and the breading is light and crunchy. Just got a Cherry Limeade the thing that sonic is so popular for and it was the WORST Cherry Limeade I have ever tasted. It taste like straight cherry juice. It was like syrup but worse. I usually go to this Sonic at least 2 to 3 times a week I think I will just start searching for a new Limeade location I cannot believe they allow such a bad product to leave the kitchen. This place sucks. Sat there and waited for our order to be taken for 20 minutes with nothing. We then stopped the car hop and asked him, he said there were 2 on hold, no problem we'll wait. I showed up with my family at 11:20PM after walking away from the other sonic in Raytown because of their terrible service and they treated us very well. If zero stars was available I wouldn't even choose one! Went to this sonic tonight order shakes got to window for one so I asked if I could add one shake and was told no because there was one person behind me. I said I just really forgot one shake for one of my kids! So I paid. Got my 5 shakes icec cream running down the side no napkins, I just smiled at my daughter, and ask Curtis the server why non of our shakes had whipped cream and a cherry? I was told oh we stopped that we don't do that anymore! I said what you mean I come every other night and order here and I have it. Curtis the server stated well we stopped that the beginning of this year and shut his window in me! Rude and disrespectful! Like it's a shake we want the topping! Thought it was normal for topping to be on them or at least by request! Never going back will go to the other one in Raytown! I could look past all the other problems had the young man that was bringing our food out not licked the side of my cup to catch the drip. I've never written a yelp review but this location is TERRIBLE. Please don't waste your money. They told my car that they didn't have anything we were there for at the time and this was early evening. Fine, things happen sometimes. So we order all different stuff and three shakes. While they are making our food I can see one man putting his shirt and hands in his mouth and the rest of the crew all passing cell phones around laughing and treating work like a party while they were pretty busy. While I'm watching the crew do this I see a young man load a cup into the drink holder and lick the side of the cup and then bring it out to our car. I did not drink mine because I was so disgusted. One other person in my car showed me his and it looked like crushed ice and milk so he didn't end up eating it and the other member of my party said he was almost sick when he took a sip of his.
