I'm very tired of constantly getting the wrong order. This is getting very annoying. In addition to incorrect food items, they have only once out of 10 times or so correctly put cream in my creamslush. How hard is it to do that???? Every other sonic in texas can currently do this with no difficulty. Are the workers this incompetent? Do they not care at all at accurately getting an order right? Are they purposefully trained by management to suck at their job? read more

I've never gone out of my way to leave a negative review but here I am. My Burger was not edible. The service here is great but the quality of the food is terrible. I'd recommend going to another sonic. I ordered the double cheeseburger and I got a burned burger that felt like biting into sandpaper. I debated on going back to get a refund but to be honest, I couldn't be asked. Definitely be careful and check your food. The two bites I took had me feeling sick, I'm not sure how long the burger was out. But it wasn't fresh. read more

I am a fan, and I've only ever attended for breakfast. When I'm pet sitting for old friends on the north edge of town, I sometimes hit this Sonic for breakfast on the way to work. There have been instances when I have wondered what is taking so long, but that's rare and has never been egregious. The food has been consistent and the service friendly, and this is my experience over more than five years. I will say the change to continuous flow traffic lanes made this spot harder to get to from I35, but it was never an easy job taking a left into this property to start with. As I'm always taking a right and continuing to I35 Southbound, I've been immune. read more

My fiancé got food poising here, my dog had a chicken tender from here also got food poisoning, I also ate a burger here and got salmonella poisoning. These were very spread out incidents. Do not eat here go to the other one read more

Can I Give a 0 star review! Absolutely the worse place to go! Never fails if you show up within 30 minutes of their closing time you can bet the Ice cream machine will be "down"!! They close it to clean it and leave early! Worse service ever! Not to mention I wanted Ice cream (this is the 5th time to come here and this is what happens!) so I order something else a corn dog! I stopped here on my way out of San Marcos. This seems like the place that all the locals go on Sunday night because it was packed. It took a good 15-20 minutes to get my food. The girl who brought out my food was very friendly. The food was decent. Typical fast food. My tater tots were a little over cooked and too crispy for my liking but they were edible. Can't go wrong with their limeades! Overall an ok place to stop for fast food but if it's busy you'll have a long wait. read more

I come to this sonic incredibly frequently after work when heading back to Austin. I also work in management for food service and understand how difficult it can be to maintain good customer service with few staff and inventory shortages. They work off almost no tips. Electronic tips should be well within range at this point @corporate sonic. Every time I come, they are so great! I can't say I have ever had a wrong order. I honestly came to leave this review today because the person who took my order was especially great and very kind today! Upon him coming outside, I realized he was an assistant manager - I think I read his name tag as Derek! Nice to see someone higher than a team member serving customers personally. We came by here after a relaxing swim at the river for a refreshing drink and we were disappointed. They didn't have "mini" size available so we got a small instead. They did not have the flavors for the drinks that we requested and the screen to order and pay was broken. They could barely understand our order through the speaker. Food was fresh like it burned when I ate the fries. I had the chicken fried steak sandwich it was amazing. My partner had the cheeseburger and he said it was good too. No drinks due to the water situation but it was good. I would of taken pics but I swallows the thing whole. read more

I am not pleased. My friends and I decided to go get something sweet after our savory dinner. We chose sonic so we could go and enjoy some of their great milkshakes. First thing, the lady that took our order kept trying to persuade us to get large milkshakes. "Are you sure you want a large, that's 34 ounces" yes ma'am, I said what I say. Then we wait quite a while and she brings us our shakes. We ordered a peanut butter Oreo master shake that came with almost no Oreos. The m&ms in our blast was a little light on the m&ms but nothing serious. My strawberry banana milkshake was pretty good. But my main issue lies with the big scoop blast. It promised little chunks of cookie dough with a 'big scoop' of cookie dough dolloped on top. Alas we received a medium vanilla ice cream with a few cookie dough bits on top and no big scoop. Tonight was the third night this week that I got off work and tried to come get food here and the people told me they closed early. I was trying to get food an hour before they closed and I could understand 15 minutes before close but an hour...at least 2 other cars had also pulled in to stations to order food and were told the same thing. In San Marcos we don't have a lot of options for food at night as everything closes at 9 or 10 but I work late sometimes and sonic has been one option besides McDonald that is open past 10. I could understand being slow one night and closing early but this was the third night this week that I was told they had closed early. A business is a business. Please operate until closing time. Again I would totally understand closing down a little early but an hour....for the third time this week is just not cool. read more

If I could put zero I would. When we where ordering out food the guy that was taking our order didn't even get the first item so we repeated it again and he didn't get the second item so we repeated it again and then when we got our food our order was wrong and they over charged us. But I notice it and then they want to say it was just taxes but it still wouldn't be that much where they where change us $3 more for what I have order they fix it but it took them 10 minutes to even give me my card back and they gave me attitude when they give it back to me. Say that I was wrong but they are the one who messed up my order and over charge me when I told them everything and told them to fix there mistakes. read more

This location is my favorite one. After going to a few other Sonics, both in San Marcos and in Austin, I found the others don't even compare. The other ones had either taken too long or gave me fried matter (instead of actual food), and this one always gets my orders right (with actual food and not just fried matter) and are fairly quick! Thanks for being an awesome team! Quick tip for out of town visitors, if you're exiting I-35 from the north, turn into the in-n-out entrance. It's connected to Sonic's lot. read more

i order the same exact thing every single time i come and they get it wrong EVERY SINGLE TIME: jr. deluxe HAMBURGER w/ bacon. i thought, maybe it's because it rings up as "burger" so they don't know the difference between cheeseburger and burger so i started saying "JR. DELUXE HAMBURGER, PLEASE MAKE SURE THERE IS NO CHEESE ON IT" still they bring me out a cheese burger every time. i understand cheese is common but i'm one of the few people who don't eat cheese and this is getting ridiculous. this is the closest sonic to me, i shouldn't have to take a detour just to get a hamburger. i'm literally fed up and it already takes 10-15 mins for them to bring it out and then i have to wait an extra 5 mins for them to remake it or i have to wait 5 mins to get a refund because i'm already in a rush. that was the case today. i'm beyond irritated about this and i'm forced to make it to my appointment having not eaten because sonic's employees don't know the difference between "burger" and "cheeseburger" on their order screens. read more

I go to Sonic (probably too) often, and order the same thing. The manager up-charged me this visit, and was rude. After respectfully showing proof of the price of my last order here, he basically said I'm SOL, gave me attitude, and walked off. I've worked in food service for years, and I don't complain unless it's rightfully so. Really poor customer service! It might've been only a buck, but after as many purchases I make, you've now lost a customer. I'll go to the other Sonic in town. read more

The customer service is great. All the workers are super nice, but every time I've come here they have messed up my order in some way. Whether it be I'm missing parts of my order or they get the sizes of my drinks wrong, something isn't right. Many restaurants are understaffed right now, and they workers are doing their best, but they just need to check the orders a little better. read more

It seems like most of the people writing bad reviews for this place have never worked in fast food and expect the same service they would get from a sit-down restaurant. I've always had good experiences here. The employees are nice and, if they do get my order wrong, they always fix it quickly and without fuss. I'll also say that, if you arrive at any fast food place within 30 minutes of closing, don't expect to get the same quality of food. Their employees don't get paid nearly enough and they just want to go home. Fast food may not seem like a hard job, but it can be grueling. Have some patience and understanding. read more

If I owned this place and had been impacted by COVID-19 as most businesses have been, that would be the LAST thing that came out of my mouth or one of my employees. On my life the worst sonic I've been to in existence. Absolutely awful service took 40 min for me to get my online order. I show up 4 min after it was supposed to be ready. It shows the person is on the way I wait another 20 min to tell them they forgot, which I don't know how the fuck happens. An online order how do you mess that up. Also my drink didn't even come with a straw and messed up the drink. read more

That combo and a sandwich was under $30 after tax, which felt great for the indulgent, tasty meal that we enjoyed. Needed a recovery nap, it was great. Single error was not including the ketchup he requested, which I share only in the interest of transparency. I mean, in my house ketchup is to make mid to poor fries tolerable and Hat Creek's sweet potato fries are great. Their good service and quality groceries continue, so will our visits will too.

She assured me they were on there and seemed agitated that I had mentioned it. And to be clear, I wasn't rude or demeaning at all with these folks. Just politely asking to make my sandwich my way is all. So I get home and my Vito didn't have onions on it. Was it spite or just incompetence? I have no idea. So just order through the app and avoid making special requests. I even tipped them $1.

That said I'll be brief as if you've been to Arby's, outside of service, the food should be about the same. As far as sides go, their curly fries are the best fries in the fast-food business. The reason is simple, they're unique and very well-seasoned. The mozzarella stick are ok but lets face it, any fast food join that sells them, purchases these generic frozen sticks and fries them. So, I'd rate them average for fast-food but below average if comparing them to sit down restaurants. Their soft drinks are much like any other chain however where we diverge from the norm are their Jamocha shakes. If you like a coffee flavor in your shake this is pretty good, otherwise their shakes are on par with all others that you can zip in and purchase within minutes. Again, if you've had Arby's before there food should be familiar to you. The roast beef sandwiches (with Arby's & Horsey sauce) are really good. I used to work there in my teen years and I can tell you yes, they cook the big slabs of meat every morning. I wish they brought back the super as it has lettuce and tomato on it, but I digress. One of the things about Arby's is they're not afraid to offer interesting sandwiches outside of their best sellers. The Ruben is pretty good for fast-food. Using their signature beef as the base, then pile on sauerkraut, melted Swiss and thousand island dressing. It's actually really good. The "Greek" gyro is decent as I'm not sure what meat they use but it's not even close to authentic but the rest of the sandwich is tasty. Just don't expect the quality of someone that specializes in that food culture. When they have the Italian Sub it's surprisingly good. Not as good as those specialty shops but not bad. Overall I don't eat fast-food often and when I do Arby's is a once in a year thing for me at best. But when one considers their roast beef sandwiches, well no one else has something like it so they've cornered the market so to say. That along with their sauces, I'm actually now craving their food. Summing things up, this store is on par with any other of their facilities so if you're craving them, don't be afraid to drop by the place that claims "we have the meats!"
