Black & yellow theme throughout (now of course this Yinzer has Wiz Khalifa's voice in her head). Older space but very clean + the aforementioned vibrant black & yellow decor. Shared the First Class Half Mile Smashburger (supposed to be a smaller version but it's huge! Heck, everything really is bigger in Texas.) & Half Mile Fries (seasoned, thick, hand cut fries). The kind man, Sukh, who was running the restaurant was so patient with us as we attempted to use the iPad like ordering system. Wasn't too sure what to expect, so went in open minded. Menu is simple, but the add ons are what gets yah. There's so many toppings and different things to get to make it uniquely your own. The dinning area is very small so no larger parties. There were two people working whenever we walked in, someone on the grill, and someone working the register, but not only was he working the register he was a hands down amazing employee, that made sure everyone was satisfied, good, needed anything, helped the person grilling and frying up fries, it was awesome to see him take on the role of multiple people and not make a fuss about it. It is easy to see how this could become a favorite establishment of the college crowd. The portions are beyond plentiful and the stacks of food are memorable. Since it was our first visit, the staff made sure to walk us through the menu and offer their recommendations. The food was delicious and filling. Took the Midwestern boomer parents for a family celebration and please don't hold it against the place, but they *loved it*. They only added green peppers (eyeroll as the veggie loving black sheep) to the small cheesesteak they split and the onion rings were too dark for his liking plus she only eats the batter off of rings, vegetables are anathema--but please believe from this narrating omnivore that everything was TASTY. We arrived about 3:05pm and the lot was so empty as we pulled in that I worried it was shut. The guy on watch was absolutely lovely, seeing three old people walk in and then happily tapping in the order himself rather than wait to see if one of us could figure out the ordering screen. And they have coke products, hell yes. Dad didn't come back for more onion rings from my plate and refused to try the house sauce--I understand this sounds dubious but please believe I grew up speaking modern aged Iowan CPA and he was SO happy with his sandwich (his fave pizza is a form of cheesesteak). Ma liked the sauce despite her fear of sabor, ate 2/3 the shot on her half a small cheesesteak. I took my smash burger with cheddar all the way with the house sauce and regret *nothing*. We had the place to ourselves until a delivery driver came in to pick up an order or two. The setting's aimed modern but the music wasn't loud. Place was mostly clean. Neither of my parents complained about the toilets so I assume they were good. There's to-go boxes near the register, drop your trash in the bin and leave your basket at the counter. As I mentioned before, they ship in proper amoroso rolls (holy grail for phillies). This place is worth a try. Gave Mile High Mo's a second chance after the owner advised me that the rosemary I tasted was in the sauce. I ordered my cheesesteak with no sauce (but with mushrooms, onions and of course, cheese) and it was PERFECTION. The key to an authentic Philly cheesesteak is the bread. They bring in Amoroso rolls from Philly. If you love the taste of rosemary? Order it with the sauce (they also have a garlic sauce too). But if you want an authentic Philly cheesesteak, order it without the sauce and you'll feel like you're back in Philly again. Few places go through the trouble (and expense) of bringing in Amoroso rolls for their cheesesteaks. Details like this are an indication of the quality that Mo's is looking to bring to San Marcos. Our family of four ordered an original smash burger, a Philly, chicken tenders, onion rings, and fries, and we enjoyed every bite of our food! Service was great. The guys behind the counter were very helpful in explaining the menu. One of them kept checking in to make sure we were happy with our meal, especially the chicken tenders since it is something they've been experimenting with. Needed somewhere open late and fairly quick on our visit in San Marcos. The place was empty when we got there so weren't sure if they were open but yes they were! The gentleman behind the counter was happy to assist us with options on the menu. The menu is fairly limited to cheesesteak s and burgers. The husband ordered the cheesesteak and I got the burger, all was really good. Their sides of fries are HUGE, Just be aware, There's enough for two people. On a lark, I stopped by this small fast-food joint on a bike ride around town. The burger chef gave me the choice of ordering my meal through the impersonal counter-top kiosk or waiting until he finished preparing the meals of the patrons ahead of me. Jumpin' Jay was so fast, friendly and professional that I didn't mind waiting for his attention to my order. On receiving my Smash Burger and fries, only a few minutes after requesting it, I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious they were. I wish I had tried this place sooner as now I feel like I have missed out for eight months since moving to San Marcos. My only complaint is that they don't have a bike rack, and that they were out of logo stickers. I definitely want to advertise this company with a winged M sticker on my helmet. :D read more

After we told him yes, he graciously explained the highlights of his menu and what he recommended. We took his recommendations based on what we loosely knew we wanted. We got the cheese coma burger, chili cheese fries, steak Philly, and 2 drinks for about $46 (after tip). We waited no more than 5 minutes for our food to be ready.
