    Quarter Pound Double Cheeseburger
    Ruby S.

My husband craved for a Sonic Drive-In fix. Everyone else followed suit for to go and consume in the vehicle orders. Not all of the parking stalls have menus with speakers. We chose the first corner stall that featured the entire menu with a speaker. Same worker walked over on foot with our orders. No roller skates. The worker promptly took and got all of our orders correct. I consumed Quarter Pound Double Cheeseburger and a large Strawberry Cheesecake Shake. Both items satisfied my early lunch appetite.

    My receipt for my order

I am disappointed with this fast food place I placed and order on door dash and when I get my food it was cold and they gave me old fries and they did not follow instructions that I had for my burger and I found a piece of hair on my burger I will never order from them again

I tried them in the past apparently because I have photos associated to that visit (even bought a dozen). I obviously didn't remember until I started writing this review. First the location is pretty easy to reach. Small strip mall store front off Portland Ave. I walked in and there were two people ahead of me but no seating and hardly room to view the selection. There is a plastic COVID screen still up and pictures of people who have stolen from them. The selection of donuts is decent and apparently on the weekends there are speciality fritters. The owner operators are kind and so helpful (high praises!). I ordered one blueberry donut and one banana fritter. Both appeared to be well cooked and scrumptious. However, each of the donuts were over fried and tasted like old grease. The blueberry cake was full of blueberries but no real blueberry taste. The fritter was soaked in grease and no banana flavor. Sadly this is not on my list to try again.

Yummo!! What a delicious little treat we had at Ice Cream Social, in Tacoma!…read more We had spent the day at the WA State Historical Museum and were in the search for a good little ice cream shop nearby. Look no further than Ice Cream Social for your frozen delight! Each of had a different flavor and each of us were completely happy and satisfied with our choice. We had Mint Chocolate Chip, Peppermint Hot Cocoa, Toffee, and a Chocolate/Vanilla combo. The Hot Cocoa was a seasonal item, but the others were a part of their regular menu. Like I said, each one was delicious! The service was great and the young lady that helped us was very friendly and great with the kids. One of our boys wanted a scoop of Vanilla AND a scoop of Chocolate. Way too much for him, so the server offered to do a half scoop of each! So nice of her to do that for us. The shop itself is very quaint and inviting as well. With about three or four tables, there's not a ton of seating, but it was enough for the small crowd that was there. Like I said, we all loved the quality and flavors of ice cream we got and highly recommend Ice Cream Social to anyone needing a tasty pick-me-up treat!

In addition to your sweet treat, you get a show since they make your ice cream fresh when you order it and you get to watch the smoke effect from the nitrogen! This would be a really fun outing for your child that's just learning about chemistry or for those interested in science in general. I liked that we got the option to choose between 3 different levels of chill, and how each represented a different texture and cream consistency. There are 12 preset options for you to choose from, or you can create your own flavor combinations. The sky is the limit! The staff were very kind in explaining to us the differences in the chill factors and patiently waited for us to choose our combination. I was so excited by the show I forgot to take a photo of the ice cream before we ate it all. One normal portion is pretty large; personally I found it was a great item to split with another person. There is a large parking lot in front of the shop that's free and there is ample, clean seating at the shop.

Cute little place in Tacoma - lots of choices for ice cream here…read more Unique thing about this is it truly is a cookie dough haven.... You get a choice of at least 12 (?) flavors... best part is they'll give you as many "trials" as you need to make your choice. Split a small 1 scoop into half cookie dough- half ice cream for the win.... My really only disappointment was that they didn't have peanuts or fudge as a topping .... If I'm going to be ingesting copious amounts of sugar and additives--aka poison, lol--it needs to knock my socks off. However, I will say this is an incredibly unique business. We got the sundae ($9.75) with caramel Caribou ice cream (delicious), a chocolate chip cookie (HUGE!), and chocolate chip cookie dough. The cookie dough was just off--I can't explain it. It was saccharine sweet but lacked a real buttery or eggy taste, and the texture was goopy. I'm thinking that by making it "safe," some of the "real cookie dough" richness is sacrificed. We also got a slice of peanut butter cookie dough pie ($4.95), which was okay. The staff is nice, and you can really sample anything you want :)
