Came here to try their "Sonic Smasher". It wasn't bad at all. Had lots of pickles which I love. Grilled onions too. I was pleasantly surprised to learn they now make crinkle cut fries which are my favorite! The fries were perfectly seasoned, hot and crispy. Gave this location a try last night at 9pm and pulled up to the drive though and was told there will be a 15-20 minute wait. I don't know what the problem is but it is called fast food for a reason. 15-20 wait is not fast. Absolutely the worst customer service out there. Ordered lunch. Car hop delivers and leaves before you can check it. Order is of course wrong. Had to call the carhop back to send it back. 10 minutes later no order. Call the carhop to request refund. Told manager must do refund. 20 minutes later no refund. Call carhop again who says manager refunded my card. I paid with cash. Carhop leaves again. Carhop returns 10 minutes later , crying. Pays me out of her pocket. And apologies. This was my first Sonic experience ever... and it happened in Wichita. Being that Sonic started up on their neighbors to the south (Oklahoma) I will equate the Sonic Experience in the Midwest to be akin to the In-N-Out experience back in Southern California. So a couple months ago I came here with a friend to grab a quick drink it was about 10:30pm on a weekend. We went through the drive thru no one answered. We went to a stall. There was only two other cars there. I pull up and pushed the button. I waited 15 mins no one answered. I pushed the button again and waited another 10 mins. No answer. The people beside us were waiting to order as well and same goes with the group of people outside both were there before we were. By this time it was around 10:55 and they shut off all the lights. No workers were insight. I work in a restaurant so I understand most struggles I thought this was handled very poorly. I tried calling the store there was no answer. I called the next day, no answer. I'm highly dissatisfied and will not be returning ever again. I will drive out of my way to go to a different sonic because this isn't the first time something like this has happened! read more
