This is SPECIFIC to the location at 612 S Tyler in Wichita. I have not had this experience at other locations. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I was not aware of their operating hours as I approached the drive thru in the morning. I pulled into the drive thru at 6:29AM. I waited. The light on the menu was barely lit, so it was hard to read. Another two vehicles pulled in right behind me. And we waited. And waited. I tried to talk to someone - anyone - in the speaker. No response. I called the restaurant from my phone and let it ring and ring...and ring. No response. FINALLY at 6:33AM I pulled around the corner to see if anyone was even in the store. I could see a white individual (older) at the end of the corner of the sidewalk smoking. He sees me and immediately goes back inside. I pull up to the window and no one is present in the store. I see a black individual (young) smoking at the door just outside drive thru. I pull up and ask if he works here. He said yes. I asked if they were open as no on was responding at the drive thru. He looked over at the white individual as he was heading back inside and said, "I don't know. HE'S the kitchen manager." I left. It was 6:34AM. As I pulled away, I could see several other vehicles in line. I went down the road to a competitor and gave THEM my money. Not happy. I expect more from this chain. I can see now that the store opens at 6:30AM. In my opinion, at 6:30AM SHARP someone should've been taking my order. I don't know who Ty is to this location, but his attitude is awful. My fiancé was ordering, watching the monitor at the drive thru, and paused for Ty to catch up. Ty aggressively says "Are you going to order a drink or not". I get you're middle aged and this isn't what you had in mind for your age, but if you're that mad with your life, use the making you're making to go back to school and better yourself. I had lunch at Spangles today 01/03/24 was greeted with the most kind employee Shannon. She went above and beyond to make sure our lunch was good and we had everything we needed. This spangle restaurant at 612 N. Tyler, was was closed after a fire in August, will open at 6:30 a.m. May 20. Spangles is offering a number of promotions to kick-off the reopening, including offering a coupon booklet for one free meal a week for a year to the first 100 customers standing in line at the restaurant on May 20. This is the third or fourth time they have done this promotion and it is always a big party of people waiting for the opening. When they get there they sign in and get a number and there are random roll calls to insure they are still there in line. If they miss the recall then they are removed from the line list and the others move up. Sounds like a good organized way to do it. Could you imagine the mad house if they didn't keep it organized. I stopped by tonight about 11pm after getting off work and there were about 30 tents and maybe 300 people there. They had set up a basket ball goal and had a game going. There was a rapper that had setup a sound system and he was singing. there were other passing a football and lots of people just laying around. Just a big party and a tent community. I feel like I'm always complaining on this app but these restaurants need to hear the feedback in order to improve their service. I've had other botched orders from this spangles but on my most recent visit I ordered a mushroom Swiss burger combo. It was still breakfast time so I knew it would take a little longer to get my food. The lady in the drive thru didn't even ask if I wanted to upsize my meal. She just automatically tried to charge me for a large. Then they asked me to pull into a stall to wait for my food which was understandable. After about 15 minutes I got my food and went home. I opened the bag and found what looked like a fruit salad and a box with 3 little chicken tender looking things. This is a normal thing at this restaurant from my experience. read more

I love spangles but they have a tendency to always forget something on my order. Like today I got pancakes with sausage and a sausage added on to the side also, and I ended up ONLY with the pancakes. Was pretty upset about it and even tried to call but there for no answer for 10 minutes so I just hung up. Won't be going here again because this is the 3rd time it's happened. read more

I always have good tasting hot food whether we dine in or take out. If they make a mistake they make it right and give me a coupon or several coupons for free ice cream cones. The managers are very nice and m our dogs always get treats. I think the prices are current with other fast food restaurants. I have never experienced dirty floors and tables. read more

I've eaten breakfast at several Spangles over the last 10 years. The food is consistently poor. The bacon is literally as thin as a sheet of paper and flavorless. The oil they spread on the bagels always tastes rancid. Their ads say "buttered bagel" but I'm positive they don't use real butter. Their parking lot is always empty while the McDonalds right down the street is always full. They just don't get it. It doesn't "just tastes better." Won't try again. read more

Renee Stevens would be disappointed in the lack of professionalism experienced here tonight. We left and went to Sonic after the drivethru attendant was rude and talked to us like we were stupid "I said welcome to Spangles." when we said we weren't ready yet. We asked if it was possible to get a hot fudge sundae and he said "No". Every comment from him was short and rude so we decided to go to Sonic down the street but my husband went in to talk to the manager and she was laughing with the crew about the incident. She said she didn't think he meant to be rude but obviously whoever trained him for his job didn't do an adequate job. Very disappointed service! read more

We always make a trip to Spangles when we visit Wichita. These burgers are smaller than what I'm used to but, the flavor of the meat packs a punch! It's good quality meat for a fast food joint, the service is fast and friendly and the fries in a cup are delicious! They are crunchy on the outside and creamy on the inside. I ordered a vanilla shake with my meal which I thought was too sweet (will order strawberry or chocolate next time) but still good. My only complaint is that the floor always seems greasy/slippery. They had "wet floor" signs out but, it didn't seem like the floors were wet because they had just been mopped. read more

Have given Spangles many opportunities to try to change my mind about them, they have failed. Burgers have the strangest tasting meat ever encountered. Fries are palatable, but don't hold a candle to others. Service is always friendly and attentive, but the food, no thanks. Should have stayed with the old Coney Island food. read more
