You get a lot of food for the money, we tried the fried catfish plates, for sides we had candied yams, macaroni, collard greens, fried cabbage, and potato salad. We tried hush puppies and cornbread, and banana pudding for dessert. The fried catfish portion is generous and seasoned well, we had ours with tartar sauce and hot sauce. It was extremely fresh and piping hot. The sides were all great and I look forward to trying more, the collards and potato salad were our favorites! The banana pudding is sweet and they use some sort of cake type dessert instead of vanilla wafers, it's very good! Service is great, it was our first time and we were a little lost. They have a cashier and an ordering kiosk, plenty of room and nice tables to dine in which I appreciate. Staff was friendly! Can't wait to try more of their meals!

Talk about good southern BBQ, fair prices, good atmosphere, and EXTREMELY great customer service. Don't even worry about going up to get your food when they call your name, once they see you acknowledge them they bring it to you with a smile and they lay it all out for you. SUPERB. I had the Catfish Nuggets senior combo w/ Potato Salad and the Black Eyes Peas on rice. SO DARN GOOD! I tried my colleagues brisket and the flavor was smokey and delicious. The portions are more than fair, believe me you will probably end up taking stuff to-go unless you have an army of hungry folks with you. Thank you so much for the amazing Customer Service to the Ray's Southern Foods team. You absolutely delivered on all aspects and you earned my five star rating.

Every meal and side we have had from here has been great. The pork spare ribs and smoked wings are my standout meats here, they are so smoky and flavorful. The collard greens are perfectly savory and delicious, we tried the potato salad for the first time and it's my favorite I've had so far, it's not sweet at all which is my preference. Always get a peach cobbler, too. Service is about as fast as it can be given how busy they can be!

The pulled chicken sandwich was good, but unfortunately the wings were a disappointment. They lacked flavor and weren't enjoyable enough for me to finish. My wife and son-in-law both had the pulled pork and thought it was good. My stepdaughter ordered the brisket and described it as just "okay." The service was underwhelming. The staff didn't seem particularly interested in helping, and the self-serve ice machine repeatedly jammed. The dining area also could have used a little more attention to cleanliness. Overall, the food ranged from okay to good, but nothing stood out enough to make us want to come back. With so many great BBQ options around Atlanta, I'd recommend trying somewhere else.

They were juicy, tender, and well seasoned and fresh. The staff is very friendly, and I've only dealt with them on the telephone because I'm unable to go in myself because of personal reasons, one of the times when I ordered via a delivery service, I misunderstood something on the menu. When I called about it, not right away, I talked to Rodney, one of the owners, and he was very kind, extended a courtesy with a replacement due to my lack of understanding. I like to support Black businesses and appreciate it when they are courteous, patient, friendly, and professional. But most of all when the product is a good one. If you want Some good ribs I recommend SCREENHOUSE BBQ. It's located in the plaza behind.BRUSTER's Ice Cream near the AMC THEATER complex on Mt. Zion Blvd.

The owner took the initiative to refund my order and personally bring my correct lunch to my job. This type of service I thought was obsolete but Rodney made it right and it is bomb. Old school cooking and dining experience eating with the locals. I wasn't at all surprised that the biscuits were great but I was pleasantly surprised to find they are probably the best biscuits I've ever had. Piping hot, dense and flaky (which seems like a feat in itself), buttery and melted in my mouth. I wish I'd only had biscuits for my meal. LOL Everything else was great...grits and cheese, eggs, hash browns, hotcakes, sausage. But the biscuits were phenomenal.

As eating on a budget has become a topic of conversation, I was excited to see the "Cheap Eats" search work in real time. As Barbecue Kitchen provides a robust menu with great pricing, it was an easy decision to head on over for date night. Arriving at Barbecue Kitchen I was excited to see that they have their own parking lot. As Barbecue Kitchen sits right on the main road, it was super easy to find and parking was in abundance. Walking in, Barbecue Kitchen has a homely feel and the classic interior design of a down home barbecue spot. The staff greeted us with a smile and as we were dining in, they advised us to sit anywhere we would like. Once at our booth of choice, the waitress arrived and further greeted us. She flashed her smile, provided us menus and went over what the specials for the day were. I decided to do Sweet Tea for my drink along with the Rib Tips Dinner Plate with Sweet Potato Soufflé, Baked Beans, Dressing and Gravy, and Cornbread. The Sweet Tea was delivered and it was amazing. Home brewed. Sweetened to perfection. Perfect ice to tea ratio and a robust tea flavor profile. This was that good tea bag. lol. The food arrived without too long of a wait and everything looked like it was made true cookout style. Upon saying grace, it was time to eat! Rib Tips - Meaty. Tender. Bland flavor profile. The sauce brings the flavor. If you aren't a sauce eater, I suggest you stay away from this option as you must have the sauce to have any flavor. However, the meat was moist and smoked to perfection. Sweet Potato Souffle - Good portion. Lacked a robust flavor spotlight. The potato's natural flavor dominated the dish. If you love sweet potatoes, you will love this dish. If you desire the more sweet flavor profile, this isn't it. Baked Beans - Made with bacon. Hint of sweetness. Overall good. Dressing and Gravy - Good portion. No flavor. Dressing was bland. Gravy was bland. As a pair it was double bland. Cornbread - If you are a lover of hot water cornbread, this is for you as it spotlights the natural corn flavor with no added sweetness. Overall, the Barbecue Kitchen was a moderate experience. The service was amazing. The food was sub-par. The pricing is budget friendly.
