I have been thrilled with their customer service, attentiveness, willingness to listen to my idea, and timeliness of a rebuild, creation, and a repair. Prices have been fair and gold valuations for exchange also were satisfactory. I purchased an estate ring that had a pearl in it and six clear stones (diamonds, it turns out). We replaced the pearl with my diamond on my engagement ring that had needed its prongs rebuilt and band strengthen, but instead did the swap. I have another creation and purchase for the future. A pear-shaped pendant as a wedding gift for my fiancée and a pair of diamond earrings for Christmas! Michael made the entire process effortless!! He took the time to walk me through options, helped refine the designs, and made sure every detail was perfect. The pendant turned out absolutely stunning, and the earrings were exactly what I hoped for. Both pieces felt personal, thoughtful, and beautifully crafted. Where do I even begin? I attended a wedding yesterday held inside the store which was officiated by the manager Victoria (who was professional) and left feeling disgusted, disrespected and ready to tell everyone about Sonny and his behavior. As the ceremony was starting, Sonny came out with a random assortment of candy for a few little ones that were in attendance. While this would normally be a welcome gift and a very sweet gesture for the kids at any other time, he decided the best time to do this would be the exact moment the officiant started the ceremony. This of course caused the kids to get excited and loud, and we were in the tiny showroom of the store with a very small group of loved ones so this caused a huge distraction. This felt disrespectful of not only Victoria and her attempt to provide a nice ceremony but was also disrespectful to the bride and groom who ended up telling her to just go ahead and start, as they were done trying to wait for everyone's attention. Secondly, the store was meant to be closed temporarily while the ceremony was taking place, meaning the doors would be locked and anyone not invited to the wedding would not be let in. At least that was how it was supposed to happen. A small bit after the ceremony was actually able to start, Sonny walks outside, approaches two random strangers and then brings them in? It was the most awkward thing in the world to realize no one knew who these people were, and that they were allowed to join in without ever checking with the bride or groom if that was okay. They just stood and watched, said thanks/congrats then left. It was one of the weirdest things to do in the middle of a wedding ceremony. At the end, we moved outside to take a few pictures and Sonny followed. It was at this time that me and my husband realized the alcohol vapors coming off him were so strong, you did not have to stand close to smell it. We found out later after talking with the family that he had openly admitted that the cup he was carrying around was indeed full of alcohol, which explained the slurred speech and stumbling. Again, HUGELY disrespectful of everyone involved. I agree and understand that everyone should have the right to do what they please in and on their own property, but given it was a wedding being done out of his business with his name on it, you would think he would have a little more decorum and professionalism. After insisting on taking a photo of everyone together in front of the store, Sonny suddenly locked eyes on my husband, looks around to the rest of the family and says "OH! Hey! Look it's the token Asian!!!" A lot of us immediately fell silent or gave a few nervous/uncomfortable laughs and things got awkward. My husband tried to give the guy the benefit of the doubt and made a small joke back to try to ease the sudden tension in the air. Instead of reading the room and realizing that everyone heard what he said and wasn't okay with it, he proceeded to say "It's okay I'm Indian, we all have those chin*y eyes and big noses." I am appalled that someone like this is a store owner, who I'm sure deals with customers of all ethnic backgrounds. Whether you are also Asian or not, slurs like that are unacceptable, least of all in a group of complete strangers who don't know you from anyone else on the street. He said this loudly in front of the entire group of attendees, INCLUDING THE CHILDREN. There was no reason to comment on my husband's race, let alone use harmful slurs to describe him. Obviously at this remark, everyone agreed that we were done being around this and it was time to leave ASAP before things escalated. Sonny does nothing to spare others from his obvious attention seeking and rude behavior. Please whatever you do avoid this place. He made what was supposed to be a beautiful day into a bizarre spectacle that left a lot of us feeling confused and disrespected. read more
