Very professional and quick to book. The location has no frills / could use an aesthetic update, but their staff was very friendly and the hygienist did a very thorough job with his cleaning. The dentist was nice and professional, made some good fluoride recommendations for me and sent me on my way with a goodie bag of supplies. Note: GPS will take you to the backside of the building. The entrance is in the SONO movie theater parking lot along the edge where other small businesses are. Easier to park in the big lot than on the street in the back. read more

When I first came to this practice about two years ago, they were one of the few that would take a patient without insurance. There was a doctor there I thought was excellent. Once he left the service went downhill fast. They take in too many patients, they always seem rushed, and the quality of care has suffered greatly. read more

I used to love this place! Everyone who was any good here has left. I had an appointment today at 10:15 for a cleaning, I came in at 10 and began waiting. 3 people who came in after me got called in while I waited! One person didn't even have an appointment and they were just able to walk in even before they finished filling out their paper work! When I asked what was taking so long at 10:50 they said "oh sorry...the hygienist is preforming a surgery". That does not even make sense, and if that is true they could have at least informed me of this while i was sitting there waiting! read more

At one point I would have given SONO Dental Group 4 Stars, but now it's 1! Who you hire is everything, they make the team and the environment well. Overall SONO Dental is very clean, and were once organized. Now that there are a lot of new hires here I feel they are all over the place. I have been going here for about 3 years myself, 22 years old. I loved how careful they were with me and showed concern. I began allowing my daughter to come as well. She was seen once, got a cleaning.. we found out so had two very small cavities but wanted to wait another 6-8 months until she was a little older to be able to handle it. The procedure would have been so simple to do with little numbing, she wouldnt even have to be put to sleep. i rescheduled another appointment for it. The dentist for toddlers was not going to be there one day. they asked me to reschedule; okay i did because I wanted who was best for my daughter. Here is basically a year later my daughter still hasn't been seen. The appointment we rescheduled for her they call and ask me if I can change to Today October 14th, 12:45pm. Because the dentist would want her to be put to sleep vs. a dentist that would want to her numb.."talking best interest". I had already explained that this is my third appointment me having to change and my daughter still hasn't been seen and her cavities where growing larger. The manager than got on the phone and explained to me that he understood but October 14th would be the day and the proper dentist will be in that day. I get the regular notification texts and calls for both my appointments and my daughters appointments. I received one yesterday and then today to confirm it again! As well as a call yesterday! Today at 11:50am they called me and asked if I can come in at 12:15 or we would have to reschedule my daughters appointment again. I explained the history and the young lady on the phone seemed as she was without a care. Told me the appointment would not be until the end of the month. From here on out, I am done with SONO Dental. I let her now I will go else were. My daughter nor myself will be seeing any dentist here again! My daughters appointment has just continued to be pushed back like a number on a list. While Her cavities can be infected and cause pain and whatever else. Should have had the old employees train the new ones and make sure the dentist will be there for their patients and not show neglect! read more

I came to see Dr. Patel after going to see a different dentist nearer to me. When I had gone to the first dentist for a checkup, he told me that my x-rays looked fine but I had what he said were 2 minor surface cavities, which he made me come back to fill a month later. However after this I had extreme sensitivity & continued pain on the left side of my mouth, plus it felt like I had an obstruction in my mouth where he'd filled the cavity--so I went back to him, he filed down the filling but said he didn't know why I was having pain! After my pain kept increasing for a couple months, I finally decided to go to Sono Dental in CT to see Dr. Patel based on a friend's recommendation. I showed him my x-rays from the previous dentist & he took the time to show me how I can see on the x-rays where there are cavities. Once I understood this it was so clear that I had several more cavities, even between my teeth, no wonder I had pain! Clearly the first dentist I went to did not want to take the time to do my dental work properly, seems given the way my insurance works it was not lucrative enough for him to spend the time. Meanwhile Dr. Patel did all the fillings needed on the left side as those were the most urgent, even though I was the last appointment of the day & it meant keeping the office open later--instead of rushing he took the time to do it properly which is so important to me. All the staff (the hygienist, office staff, etc) were super-friendly too. I saw a lot of children there, so I'm guessing the dentists there are great with kids--no surprise to me, as I certainly found everyone's "bedside manner" reassuring & calming! I'm definitely heading back to take care of the cavities on the right side of my mouth. It's worth the trek (I live in NJ) to be able to go to a dentist I can trust! read more

The whole staff is amazing, caring , and they take the extra few minutes to explain the care they are giving and the follow up need at home and for future visits. I am terrified of the dentist, so seeing an oral surgeon to get a wisdom tooth out was not the first thing on my to do list. As soon as I arrived at this location, I was greeted and told I was going to be okay! The positivity and comfort only grew as I was brought back to the room where I would get my tooth removed. The staff was so sweet and walked me through exactly what was going to happen. I was so nervous when the surgeon came in and was shaking so badly, but he made me feel like the extraction was no big deal. AND HE WAS RIGHT! After the novocaine set in... the extraction took literally 10 seconds. I was shocked and I didn't feel a thing. This experience restored my confidence and I actually am looking forward to go back and get my other wisdom teeth removed. I would 100% recommend this location and surgeon. read more

Dr. Patel is the best...Seen him for 2 extractions...minor pain as expected, but nothing too outrageous! The office ppl are nice and friendly...Office is very clean!! I would recommend Dr.Patel 100%....OAN, he is only there on Tuesdays! read more

I live in Norwalk and always go to the movies at the SONO plaza. While there I ate popcorn and got it stuck in between my tooth and my gum.Let me tell you it is not a fun experience . Fortunately my girlfriend knew about Sono Dental Group which was located a walk away from the movie theaters. I was able to call and make and appointment next day. The receptionist greeted me with a warm smile. After filling up some paper work i was called in immediately .The doctor was awesome and was able to remove it without any pain.He recommended that I get a cleaning since the last time i sow a dentist was over 6 months ago. The hygienist was super nice and very thorough. I was never a flosser but after the hygienist explained to me the importance of flossing I don't think I will forget to floss from now on . I made my 6 month appointment and will be seeing them in June. Once again thank you SONO DENTAL GROUP!!!!! read more
