I have been a member of this fitness club since before the pandemic. When I started, they had many classes for oriented toward seniors including Pilates, Spin, Tai Chi, etc. All of these are no longer available. The one class I attend continues to be cancelled due to lack of instructors. The club management increased the membership fees without written notice of the amount and also charged an equipment enhancement fee. The equipment is sorely lacking and the gym has steadily declined. Do not join this club unless you are aware of all the extra charges and lack of classes that you might be able to attend. If I could give 0 stars, I would. I was a member of Sonoma Fit during the pandemic and loved it. However, things started going downhill about a year and a half ago. First of all, the gym is filthy. Want spiderwebs on your hands when using cable machines? Sonoma Fit is your place! Also, the gym became HORRIBLE about maintenance. One bathroom stall was out of order for 4 months in the Women's restroom. Half the lockers are broken as well. Once, a locker broke while my jacket was in it. Since it was after hours, there was no front desk staff to help me get my jacket out. I had to go home in 40 degree weather WHILE IT WAS RAINING, and come back to get my jacket the next day. Last March, my membership fee nearly doubled out of nowhere. I never received any communication about it. I tried to ask the front desk staff what was going on and they had no idea. I left my number with the front desk so the owners could call me back. They never did. I finally went back in and spoke to a manager, Polo. He was very nice and once again took my number so the owners could call me back. Guess who never called me back? The owners! My husband and I tried calling the gym several times, but could never get in touch with the owners. We even tried calling other locations. We spoke to Polo 2 more times, and the owners still never bothered to get back to us. In addition to nearly doubling our membership fees, the gym also randomly charged us another annual fee despite us having already paid our annual fee 5 months prior. It's obvious upon reading reviews for this location and other locations that the owners are completely delusional. Almost every review is one star, and the owners regularly argue with reviewers on here in a completely combative manner. It's ridiculous that they get away with doing business like this. They can't even be bothered to pretend to care about providing any decent level of service to their customers. I canceled my membership and joined a gym that actually cares. Good riddance! read more

Despite the large selection of machines, there have been some surprising shortcomings at the Petaluma location. Mainly from the staff. For the first time, I visited this location at about 5:30pm today. Only 30min after staff left. To my surprise, they didn't have any towels available whatsoever. Both the San Rafael and Novato location has their employees always leave some towels for their evening gym members. Not only that, but there were no towels for the showers either. I checked all the towel baskets too. Not full at all. 3 towels in each basket at MOST. Where are all the towels? I hope this isn't the employees way of limiting laundry duties. What else is there to do for the front desk employees during the day besides a few simple maintenance tasks of the gym? Just because you have a wide selection of machines doesn't mean you can become complacent in other areas of basic service. Place looks dusty as well. Management needs to step in to keep this location from turning into a lazily maintained dump compared to the other locations. read more

If I could, I would also give zero stars to this place. I have been lied to more times than I can count and treated so poorly that it blows my mind. I should have known in the beginning when the manager Brittney Jones in Petaluma tried to scam me out of signing up under a promotion. She told me to wait and come back the next day so it would be on the start of a new billing cycle. I went in and front desk said she was not there. I emailed her from the parking lot, she said to come down and talk about it, I walked right back inside and all of a sudden she was there. She was literally hiding in her office. Then she flat out told me that we never had that conversation the previous day. After awhile of convincing her, I was able to sign up but she made me feel unwanted and was very rude. One time I went after hours, it took me a minute to use the app to unlock the door. I forgot to swipe a second time at the desk, right away I got a rude emailing threatening to revoke my after hours "privilege" if it happened again. She talked to me like I was a criminal instead of a customer paying $100 a month(way too much for this place) who made a mistake. It was ONE time that I made a mistake. Though they still have my info because I used the app to open the door. How is this customer service? Or reasonable to talk to a person in general for that matter. Now I am trying to cancel my membership. Throughout all of this I have been polite and no matter what I say or do I get disrespected, passive aggressive responses, or they flat out ignore and don't answer questions. They patronize you and won't give any contact info so they are able to hide their identity from us so they can continue this scam. I called multiple times because I wasn't able to get a hold of anybody. I received a text from a "robot" who actually turned out to be an employee, telling me not to call again because one call is fine and they will get back to me. If I'm calling a machine, then why would the number of calls matter right? Or better yet, maybe have a person answer the phone and help members...? They flat out lied about being a robot, then confessed to being a human when I asked if they were. This is insane. Then I asked to speak to a person and they said "your account has been flagged for language". You can not make this stuff up. Why not just help a member with an issue? Why shun me like that and leave me hanging? I asked for help, I really do not understand this. I called the gym in Sonoma in attempt to get help and received the same response! Finally I was able to have a conversation, (if you can call it that) via email. The person would not tell me who they were, would not let me talk to their supervisor, would not give me information for the billing department. Just flat out rude the whole time and treated me like I was a terrible person for wanting to leave. They are happy to over charge and take your money for a garbage gym but when you want to leave they flip and treat you like crap. I gave 27 day notice, apparently you need to give 30 days. It's a crock. They want more money. After all this they would not work with me to just cancel. They still want to charge me for the NEXT month! I told them I put a hold on the account at my bank and finally got a response, though all it said was they will send it to collections! This is their customer service. I can't not believe they are still in business and I'm going to keep pursuing this because as of now, they plan to charge me for the membership but have locked me out of using it after hours! This is the first time I have ever reviewed a company online, I wish I had a name or something to go off of but that is how they continue to take advantage of people. They hide behind their computers and don't tell their boss. Or he is in on the scam, which I believe now after reading others reviews. I've been a member for quite a few years now, and I have dealt with deceit and outright lies told by this gym, from asking members to continue to pay dues during covid to help continue to pay staff, only to find out it was to pay the manager (which at the time was the owner's son) and now, without notice, classes are being cancelled, and it has gotten to the point that the things I would use or classes I would take are no longer available, I cannot get a straight answer from anyone, I'm treated rudely and emails, messages, etc. continue to go unreturned. I finally realized that they just didn't want my membership any longer, so I am switching to another gym. I'm sure for some using machines and weights, this place does what they need, but their lack of customer service and follow through in my case left me with no other option then to leave. read more

This gym is too expensive for what it offers as it is and now they have decided to cancel their 5am and 6am hour classes going forward. There is no logic in this as these are the more popular classes. The midday and evening classes have low attendance compared to the morning classes. If I could give this gym zero stars, I would. As a member, l recently filled out a survey about the gym and directed their attention to the lack of cleanliness in their gym, but just got lip service in an email about how they appreciated the feedback and would "get right on that". A week later, nothing had changed, so I took pictures and sent them in an email to management/owners, asking them to clean their gym properly and then was accused of "personally attacking" the staff and then they kicked me out of the gym. The membership rates are extremely high, so I assumed that they would hire professional cleaners to take care of their gym. They do not. They also have male personal trainers in there that "stretch out" their clients, grabbing the woman clients' inner thighs, and massaging them in the middle of the gym, while wearing the Sonoma Fit t-shirt. It's disgusting and wildly inappropriate, but apparently that's okay, but it's not okay to tell the management/owners to properly clean their gym for their members. The treatment of women in that gym, employees and members, is very inappropriate and made me very uncomfortable working out there. I also feel the hostile treatment I received was because I'm a woman. If a male customer complained like I did, they would not have been kicked out. Be careful joining this gym. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. This gym is an absolute SCAM! Do not join! I was a member when they first opened and stuck around during the pandemic. The instructors then were awesome and they offered classes no other gym had like kettlebell classes. After the pandemic, I stayed for a while but then I canceled my membership when those classes and the childcare went away. I rejoined last year when they brought back a favorite trainer and the kettlebell classes, but those were short lived. They slowly started taking away more and more classes. When they raised membership dues and annual fees without notification a month ago, I stayed because they agreed to honor the price I signed up at since I was having to travel to the other locations for classes they no longer were offering. WARNING DO NOT JOIN THIS GYM - THEY ARE SCAMMERS!!! They just increased everyone's monthly rate without written notice. I never received an email warning me about a rate increase. Every member is outraged. They also increased the annual fee from $35 to $75, although my contract states they can only increase it by max $5. My CC was charged a crazy amount on March 1st. No one can get a return phone call or email from the manager to discuss this mess. They went against my WRITTEN CONTRACT. I am going to pursue legal action. read more

I joined SoFit before they opened since the pricing was too good to beat. Plus, my favorite yoga teacher teaches yoga here. I'm so glad she told me about it because it's right near my house which makes it so convenient. Since it's a brand new gym there is still some little things being worked out but the staff is very friendly. The gym is very quiet right now. Plenty of parking, too. Classes are offered in the mornings through noon and then again from 4ish till 8pm depending on the day. I love their app because it's easy to book classes through that and add it right to my calendar. I've taken yoga classes (love Nicole!), Cycle 45 (so enjoy that it's not an hour), and TRX Level 1. I love the variety of this gym. They also offer free towels and even have cold eucalyptus towels after classes available which is so nice. I'm looking forward to checking out their child care in the future. My one complaint would be if you have to cancel a class within 6 hours they charge you a $6 cancellation fee. As a new mom trying to get some time back to myself I don't love this. Sometimes having a baby means not being able to go last minute even if you'd planned on it. That's my only complaint but maybe that helps some people stay consistent? read more

Couldn't agree more with Shannon's review (previous review). This gym was amazing, always very clean and ORGANIZED about 6 months ago and before that. This gym has gone completely downhill within the past couple months. This gym is filthy. When staff "cleans" at night, they do the bare minimum. They vacuum, but don't get in between machines and do a thorough job. You can tell they don't want to do it because it's hardly any effort. They half ass "wipe down" machines, but do it when the gym is busiest (~6pm) and don't touch the machines that a person is using. So in total they wipe down very few machines. It doesn't make a difference. The BIGGEST problem is that plates are never racked, laying on the floor, every machine's weights are all out of order (ex: 45's with 10's behind it, 25's 10's and 45's on the same row, etc) and it's so frustrating. The pieces that you attach to the cable machines are always thrown and all over the place. The stand where you place cable attachments is always a mess every day. The night staff really slacks when management isn't watching. I have noticed for months now that the night staff always leaves to go home and there are plates left on machines that people aren't using weights all out of order and/or on the floor. It should be a requirement that the night staff organizes the plates, puts them in order and ensures there is nothing out of place laying on the floor, the stand with the cable attachments needs to be organized before they go home. And then the manager should check first thing when they get there the next day to make sure everything is in order and plates aren't left on machines. I don't know if this is because the staff you have is lazy or because the management doesn't punish properly and isn't hard enough on how serious is a matter this is. The staff gets away with doing the bare minimum. More effort should be put into re-racking weights instead of dusting!!!!!!!! I've only seen staff mop a handful of times and I think I've seen them mop the weight room a total of two times in a couple months. Because they mop hardly ever, there's always chalk on the floor by the squat racks that will be left there for weeks and chalk fingerprints on all the plates of the squat racks that no one ever cleans off. The same dirt on the ground, crumbs, rappers, water bottles, bands, etc will stay in the SAME SPOT FOR WEEKS before someone picks it up. Another huge issue is on weekends, the gym is a complete wreck, there's never toilet paper stocked in the women's restroom on weekends, there's weights laying everywhere, foam rollers on the ground, plates left on machines, etc. On weekends, 9 times out of 10 the trash bins are overflowing. I'm going to start posting pictures of how dirty this gym is. I pay too much money for my membership for this lack of cleanliness. I wanted to give the staff/gym the benefit of doubt and hoped they'd step it up, but it just keeps getting worse and worse and worse and it makes me sick to see staff go home with the weight room so trashed. I have to say, at first this gym was world class. But after a while they started cheaping out on staff, equipment, repairs, even soap and towels. For the cost, that always kept rising, this gym has worse bathrooms than the 24 hour fitness I NOW go to instead. The difference is at 24 hour I pay $20/month (annual cost). There is zero reason this place should charge over $100/month. If they were smart they'd make tiered gym passes so they can get the people like me who only lift and use nothing else. But, safe to say I left this gym about a year ago and see no reason to ever go back. I live about 2 minutes away but I'd prefer to drive to 10 minutes to a gym that at least had an accurate cost structure for the quality of gym it is. I now realize how polar opposite this review is from my initial review. They fell, hard. The harassment from their gym manager (via email), whom I never even saw at the gym, was also unbearable. Threatening to revoke membership because of their insane after hours door rules (I let my girlfriend in, who was a member..but they want me to unlock the door, close it behind me, then my girlfriend to unlock it, close behind her, and then us both to beep in...and if you don't do that perfectly, you are threatened. Pretty obnoxious. Safe to say, I'm gone. Let me know when you have your monthly prices, as they should be, and I'll consider coming back. read more

I couldn't justify going from the original $79 gold membership that included classes to a $129 platinum membership when they decided classes would only be available to platinum. I was a member at Sonoma Fit for under 6 months, and I have never experienced such horrible customer service. I want to preface to say, I took classes at Sonoma Fit and LOVED Shell's classes. Shell is a top notch trainer, I got an incredible workout, and really felt brought into that community. In mid-August I noticed when I logged into the app, it was showing that there were no classes for two weeks. When I called the front desk staff said, "that's because there are no classes being offered in the next two weeks". That came to a huge surprise to me because I was spending $145 a month solely for the classes. After one week of not attending any classes, I called again and was told "the app is just not working you can make reservations on the phone." Which was also a surprise since I missed 7 days of workouts, and now was unable to access a huge aspect of why I liked Sonoma Fit in the first place. From about August 15 I was unable to access the new app. Each time I called the front desk (because I was mostly there first thing in the morning before most front desk staff was there, and had to rush off to work after class) I received different information. I went from "there are not classes," to "the app doesn't work," to "there is an entirely different app," to "did anyone send you a verification code," to "there is no solution to this problem, you'll just have to call to schedule," to "you can only email Ashley, she's the only one who can solve it." This brings me to the reason I have left the gym. Ashley was almost completely inaccessible. She refused to talk with me on the phone to the point were I decided to call MindBody myself to see if I could figure out why I wasn't able to access the application. Once I let Ashley know I had called MindBody, this is when she stated that she had been working with MindBody and they were hard at work trying to fix the problem. I had not received that news almost 2 months into this issue. Once I was charged $145 for my membership a THIRD time with absolutory no solution to this problem, I decided it was too much. I called into the gym to ensure I would not be charged for an additional month, the front desk staff did not know the answer and let me know they would call me back. Three business days later when I had not received a phone call back, I emailed Ashley again to ask the same question. Ashley emailed me back to let me know that she doesn't deal with cancelations and that I'd have to email cancelations to answer the question. When I emailed cancellations on October 6th (when I had originally called on October 2nd) I was told that since it was after the first of the month I would in fact be charged on November 1st. On October 10th I asked for a phone call from Brittney to ask for some sort of exception because of the issues I had experienced. Their auto response let me know I wouldn't hear from someone for 3 business days. On October 16th after 4 business days with no response I emailed letting them know that I would in fact still like to speak with someone. 12 hours later I received an email letting me know that I wouldn't be charged on November 1st. Which is great, that saves me $145, but does not actually meet my request which was to speak with someone. At this point, I feel awful for how many times the front desk staff had to deal with me, and yet I never spoke to anyone in charge. It's been a month now that I have joined Sonoma Fit, Petaluma location. Their first location is in Napa. When I joined, the gym had opened two weeks prior so it had that new car smell throughout. All of the equipment was shiny, the floors were clean and there wasn't a crowd in sight. Fast forward a few weeks, it is still just as clean. The staff know me by name, which is great but it also sucks. They will know when I haven't been in. They offer top of the line gym equipment that promotes a workout experience that is enjoyable and without injury. Most of the equipment is what I like to call ergonomically designed. The machines move with your body so there is less stress on the muscles. What I like about this gym is while it is open, it is also carefully sectioned off. The main room has treadmillls, rowing machines, stair masters, plus an area of free weights. In fact, there are three ares in the gym that have free weights! Yes!!! No more looking or waiting for someone to finish with the only pair of 20 pounders in the gym. If you do Pilates or TRX there are plenty or the harness / strap equipment around - if that's what you call it. Spin class is in another room that is cooled by several super power fans, so it always smells fresh. There are refrigerated Eucalyptus towels for your use after you burn that fat. Bliss. The music can be loud depending upon the instructor. Bring ear plus if that is an issue for you. Speaking of classes, if you get board during the hour long classes an (like me) Sonoma Fit offers 45 minute classes which are just as intense if not more since your packing everything in a shorter amount of time. The locker rooms are equipped with several code lockers. As in you enter a code to secure your items. No need to remember to bring your padlock and key. So 90's! Also available is an open shower space (not individual) and a few toilets. If there is anything that I do not love about this gym it would be the yoga space. It's kinda boring. All white walls, all white floors, it just has no life. It's like being in an asylum where the walls are padded so you don't hurt yourself! Not really, but you get the idea. The classes are good but ambiance is just as important for the mental state. For the gym parents, there is a daycare play-area for the kiddos. Plenty of parking in front for cars, however they do not yet have parking stalls for bikes. I heard that is coming soon! Also coming is a swimming pool. Summertime at the pool, here I come! Kidding, I hate public pools but that's nice. Great gym, great staff, awesome equipment. I found my happy work-out place! read more

By far, the best gym experience I have ever had. The dynamic layout of classes offered under the premium membership is THE BEST as far as content of workout to cost of membership. They have a diverse group of trainers who coach the group classes. Ross - If you are looking to level up your outdoor game. Heather - if you are looking to level up your OG Sonoma County country status. Jen - if you, like me, are a mid 40's female whose body needs to be pushed with confidence, motivation and sheer determination for change, she will kick. change. ass. And she's OK if you cuss about the process. :) I'm part of a work group who became fast noon class loyalists ... for 6 straight months! 5 days a week, Noon Class. Never before have I committed like this. They have heavy duty Active Air fans so that the air from the fan actually hits the cardio machines in the middle of the main room! The layout is spacious and allows you to feel individually comfortable within any busy area. I didn't even want to write this review because I want this gym all for myself! But the bigger disservice in being selfish with this place is not letting my community know that this is a great gym. It has kept me consistently challenged. It has pushed me consistently further out of my fitness comfort zone. It has made me strive to feel achieved every day in making myself healthier and happier. If more people in my local community can get that kind of zen feeling, while we are in this community together, that is most definitely why I had to write this review. read more

Been coming here for a few months now so I feel like it's time to write a review. This gym offers exactly what I need, there's a great variety of classes but I also get the opportunity to work out on my own if I'd prefer. I have the premium membership so I can select from any of the classes they offer. My favorite classes are the yoga classes and Sprint 8 which is half on the ellipticals (easy on the joints) and half body work on the turf. Every instructor I've had has been attentive and very knowledgeable. I'm really looking forward to when the pool will be open, I've noticed that they're finally starting some work in the area that it will be at but I feel like there's a few more months worth of work that will need to be done before it's ready. I think the only thing that I don't love about this gym is the showers, it's one open room with like 8 shower heads in it, so you need to be comfortable with showering in front of others since there isn't any privacy. I got over that quickly though because honestly no one is concerned with what you're doing! They do provide towels which is awesome, and there is also a couple hair dryers available for use. I highly recommend checking out this gym, there is something for everyone. read more

This gym has great classes and equipment at a GREAT price. It meets the needs of our whole family- I enjoy spin classes and my husband lifts weights. We feel it is worth the drive across town to get there. I have participated in both yoga and spin. The classes are high quality and comparable to those of boutique gyms. They even offer you cold Eucalyptus towels at the end of class a la Equinox. It is nice to have the options of all the classes to help avoid boredom and ensure the gym is meeting all your needs. I found with other group exercise gyms I always wanted a little more variety and stretching, and now it's all under one roof. I am so happy to see this locally owned gym in Petaluma. In my brief interactions with the owners they seem to truly want to bring you the best gym experience possible. In addition, the childcare here is GREAT and personable. read more

I've been waiting for this gym to open as it's 1 mile from my house! Totally worth the wait! The owners and staff are super nice! They spared no expense on their equipment and it's incredible! Clean environment! They've thought of all the details right down to the jar of hair ties in case I forget mine! I've taken 3 different classes so far and am having fun while being challenged! If I could give this gym a zero star I would. When they first opened I was a member and loved it. Since then they are completely taking advantage of their members. And the whole establishment has went downhill. I cancelled my membership months ago but my husband decided to stay because he loved how close the gym was to our house. He was just informed today via a bank charge that they have increased membership cost for all members across the board and the yearly maintenance fee. This was a surprise to my husband as he did not receive a single notification from the owners of the gym that they would be increasing membership cost. What a poor way to do business and lack of respect for their high paying gym goers. They have received numerous requests by many people I know personally and other gym members to fix issues within the gym. They do not keep the equipment in the gym up to par. Things are constantly breaking and or not being fixed. The owners have never stepped up to help out their members and will continue to rip off high paying customers. You should absolutely bring your business elsewhere as there are many gyms throughout Sonoma county that actually care about their members and the quality of their gym. read more

Hands down the worst customer service I've ever received. I have been a member here for almost a year. When I signed up they charged me an extra fee (that they charge every year in March) for "new equipment and renovations". Never did I ever see any new equipment come in. That is fine, maybe they used it for maintenance I can't see. But then over the almost year I've been here , they have been out of paper towels for wiping down and cleaning the machines soooo many times. A lot of the time I have to tell who ever is working the front desk that we are out of paper towels at literally every station (there's like 6 in the gym). The staff mostly just sits at the front desk on their phones. Although they are friendly and greet you, they do a terrible job on up keep with stocking and keeping the gym clean. When I first signed up last march I agreed to pay the extra "fee" for gym up keep because I was excited to come. They let me know I could use the gym at all hours by getting access to the door lock through an app. To get access though I had to email the manager and they said it would take up to three days to get access. It took a week and they refused to refund me for the extra fee I paid , even though if I had waited to sign up for the gym a couple days, I wouldn't have had to pay that extra fee of $84. And now almost a year later I call to cancel my membership (I had been waiting till my 1 year contract was up to avoid further fees) and they tell me I don't have a contract! They literally never even put me in contract after telling me I was originally. I could have cancelled months ago and would have had I known that I wasn't actually in contract! They tell me I have to give them 30 days for cancellation. And say I will be cancelled on March 31st. To that I reply that' that is more than 30 days. Then they change their verbiage and say actually it's 30 days from the next billing cycle (so a total of 38 days). I literally have both emails from them stating different things. So I won't be cancelled till March 31st which means I will have to pay that "gym upkeep fee" once more. I have never in my life received such terrible customer service. I am so disappointed, I was an excited for this gym and feel taken advantage of. I do not recommend anyone to attend this gym. I love SoFit! Joined here recently and am so impressed with the state of the art equipment, huge weight and cardio rooms, external studios (amazing spin room, separate TRX/pilates room, and separate yoga studio...absolutely amazing) for a very affordable price! Their hours are good so far and hear they will be increasing with more memberships. The only con would be that the locker rooms don't quite match the other parts of the gym, but it gets the job done with getting clean and preparing for work so not a big issue at all. The front desk staff are always there to greet you and eager to help out in any way they can. I love this gym and it has made my 5am gym time so much more enjoyable to achieve! read more

I joined Sonoma Fit after moving up to Petaluma right before they opened, and was in search of a: club-like, clean, and class accessible option within Sonoma County. Sonoma Fit has met all those expectations and more. They provide an array of classes, and offer an undeniable dose of excellent customer service through their trainers and staff. I would give them 6 stars if I could! I'm thankful for a gym where motivation is encouraged and fostered by people who love what they do, and are excellent in their craft. I joined Sonoma Fit a few months before Covid! I was very pleased with it then. Even more so now! I feel very grateful to belong to a gym that has created wonderful outdoor areas for safe classes!! I have been enjoying outdoor spin on a beautitful, covered ,wooden deck since last March! I don't know how the owners have managed it but they have jumped through hoops to keep us fit with three large , covered, outdoor, areas and a variety of classes. They even attached TRX bands on the outside. Of course the teachers are top notch as usual And The front desk always welcomes me by name!! Thanks Sonoma Fit!! read more

This is a club with heart and soul. I don't think you can find another fitness center of this size that doesn't feel like a corporate machine. From the owners down through all the staff there isn't anyone I've met that doesn't feel genuine. It recently expanded to welcome Redwood club members and teachers and rolled out the red carpet making us feel welcome and wanted. The club now fills the fitness needs of every generation and ability. They'll be building a pool for next summer and then it will be truly full service. read more

I came here expecting quality. After working out a couple of times here management got extra friendly too fast and began to push extra perks for sale which I said I didn't want. Ladies, I'm here to work out. I already gave you my money. No wonder this place is empty. read more

This is a top notch gym. I'm not a "gym rat" and even though at first glance the equipment and body builders feel a little intimidating I jumped right in. The state of the art equipment is very user friendly. My favorite thing are the mats! My knees don't hurt one bit using the mats! The TRX classes are fun and hard, but not so hard an out of shape mom of three can't do them. I feel welcomed by staff, owners, and trainers alike. The childcare room is small but cozy and the care is beyond expected. I feel so confident that with the help of this gym and it's helpful staff I will reach my fitness goals and beyond! read more

I'm from Sonoma an originally signed up at that location. I loved the Sonoma location an when I moved to Santa Rosa in December, I was excited to hear there was a Petaluma location. This gym is amazing! They have EVERYTHING you need for your workouts. It's large enough to not feel crowded and they have enough equipment for you to use when it's really busy. All my reviews are positive, except this one. I've been a member 3 years, have been very happy up to this point & left glowing reviews. However an issue with the billing company, (Credit card didn't expire until Nov, billing company couldn't/didn't process Oct). NEVER contacted me & never even returned calls as promised. Coupled with not being unable to get a response from the gym or getting inaccurate information from gym staff, caused a ridiculous amount of wasted time & extra work. When I drove over to the gym to pay them (during the suggested timeframe provided by the gym), I couldn't find anyone & no one answered the phone. When they called me back they provided a different amount than previously agreed. Customer service for account issues is awful. I contacted the gym after their response to this review, asking for any proof of what they claim here; still no response. I will gladly remove this review if they can provide any proof to support their statements here. (I have proof of everything I stated.) read more

I have been a member of Sonoma Fit for just over a month and was kicked off the elliptical machine in the middle of my routine because a class needed it. Apparently classes have priority so if you are using a piece of equipment they need, you must give it up. read more

I used to love coming to this gym to work out without feeling judged, however over the last 4 months I have been feeling uncomfortable by the way the employee Katelyn will stand around talking to some of the gym members and shaming other members including myself in front of everyone. When I first signed up in August I noticed her and other employees looking through my social media as well as other members who I met here that agreed their behavior was unprofessional, she and other members will look up our medias with the information we have in their system. I continued to ignore the behavior and mind my own business because all I want to do is workout and go home, but she is always giving nasty stares and I am not the only one she does this to. A month ago I walked into the ladies locker room and found the clock broken on the floor. I asked the other lady in the locker room if she noticed that when she walked and we called over the employee I have previously referred. She gave me the most disgusting look it took everything in me to not say anything specially when she looked at her coworker and said "oh the clock magically fell" as she looked at me insinuating that I did when there was clearly another witness there. I am so disappointed that this is the kind of "welcoming" many of us members have to walk in to and pay for. I will also add that I can't even get my things out of the locker room without being watched to make sure I leave at 8 because the employee wants to leave and always mops and cleans an hour before the gym actually closes to make sure she can leave early and will complain about people still using some machines that get in the way of her cleaning. read more
