Improved Service is noticed! We were standing by all the flowers to celebrate spring and mothers alike where we observed a noticeable difference at Home Depot. It has now been two weeks since we stopped in and I still carry remember the agreeable environment that greeted us. Was there something in the air (perhaps spring) or has management changed because just about every employee we passed greeted us and asked if we needed help. Gave this a 1 because of a vendor there that tried to get us help. Otherwise it would be a fat 0! I've shopped there in the past and have had no problems, but I had heard horror stories about it. Well, it's worse than bad. We waited for over 30 minutes in flooring to ask a simple question. People were called 3 times, no one showed up. I saw 2 workers down an aisle and asked if one of them could help me. One was an assistant manager, but couldn't help because she was teaching the other how to cut blinds. Finally, was told I might get help at the pro desk and after standing in front of 2 workers chatting about there evening, I interrupted them and asked for help. They called for help and another assistant manager came and told me she could help me after she helped 2 other people. Oh, and that an assistant manager was back there. I told her she wouldn't help me and that I just had a quick question. She did answer my question like I was a moron. Bottom line, they ended up not having what I needed! I won't ever step foot in that place again until they get some new management! Someone there needs to teach some customer service to their workers!! read more

I was followed around home depot front counters by a little lady named Marcia. I had my infant and husband with me and I am disabled. When he walked away and it was just me and my toddler, She was hiding and pointing out to cashiers if I didn't pay for a sucker I had already paid for in front of the self checkout cashiers. Then I asked for help, 3 different employees that had been so interested in me touching nothing at all had no idea how to help me. The item I wanted on sale ($600 item) they don't have and sold out so he pretty much told me he ain't getting it again. I told him well the sale is until February 1st so can you order more because I want to buy it. I'm like so I shouldn't even go online. He laughed at me and walked away. Like here the number order online. Went to pay for 3 items the lady runs up to make the cashier pay for the sucker my daughter dropped I threw away. I said I already paid! Oh you did. Like I'm a thief. I walked out put my service dog and baby in the car and walked in to ask her name so she knows exactly her behavior is unacceptable and rude. Now I feel like I did something wrong because it was raining and I had a jacket on. Just disappointed because I was so excited to get my husband tool set for Christmas now I have to go all the way to home depot in vallejo to get better service. read more

How bad can it get? I wish we could use minus stars. We ordered $5,500 of flooring. It was delivered in bits no big deal. The installer came and said it needed to be inside to warm up. They delivered it to us and left it outside. So another 3 days went by. They came out again to install it and said that we had concrete floors and we needed a different underlay. Maybe a few days. The few days went on and on . Now we are told April sometime. We have the flooring in the house and the master bedroom with all the furniture out for 3 weeks. They do not call back and do not care. The flooring manager just hung up on us and could not give us a date when they would pick up the flooring. To say the least, do not deal with them they are not Professional and do not care at all. read more

I went to the garden department on May 26th to take advantage of their sale on mulch. There were no bags in the various spots they display it, but my HD app said the store had 400+ bags of each color. I asked the cashier dude if he could check stock on it, and before he could say anything, a blonde cashier woman walked up and told me where the mulch is supposed to be. I told her I had checked all the spots and there were no bags left. She said "well if there were no bags, they are sold out." She said people have been asking for it for 10 days (even though the sale has just begun for Memorial weekend). I saw right through her "I want to do as little as possible" persona but left because I didn't want to deal with her. Went back this morning, May 27th, and voila someone had restocked, and there were multiple pallets of mulch. It amazes me how lazy our society has become. HD used to be a place where the employees were helpful and knowledgeable. For the most part, now they are lazy and untrustworthy. read more

Seems there have been some improvements with staff and training. A few smarter employees actually interact efficiently and with a purpose. However, the new checkout system is chaotic. It is physically set up like self-checkout, but there is no counter to place items and it is manned with a cashier. When the cashier is working the kiosk, they are facing away from the customer. You must hold up your items one by one. They are talking while facing away from the customer, so don't pay attention when you respond. The crazy thing is I can't tell if this is self-service or not. One cashier was very friendly and greeted me with small talk. He started pressing buttons on the screen and putting my small items on the tiny ledge. He then walked away without saying anything, but kept making small talk. I just stood there and had to ask if he was going to ring it up. He then handed me the scanner to do it myself. The next time I was met by a very assertive woman. No small talk and demanded to know what I was buying since I was holding them in my hands. She then said "give it to me", scanned them herself, and then "is that it?" I didn't mind the abruptness or scanning, but she then walked away. We switched places and I looked at her asking if I was supposed to check myself out now. She then said, "You put your card here and your receipt comes out there." I knew that, it's not rocket science. The problem is: 1) the attendant starts the process, but is facing away from you, 2) not knowing if the cashier is going to process the whole transaction, 3) there is no counter, but they ask you to physically show your items, 4) they randomly walk away without saying anything, like "thank you" or "please complete your payment now". Why did Home Depot decide to reinvent the checkout process without informing the customer how each cashier is randomly going to do it? There are no signs or instructions, and each cashier is doing it differently. read more

Overall, Home Depot is Home Depot. You know what to expect. However, compared to other Home Depot locations, I find this one to be neater and cleaner than average, which is nice. Also, while they only had one real human doing checkout, as I hate self checkout, the line was only two people long and I was in and out of the store within just a few minutes. I'm deducting one star because they do not have phone payments. This is the only place I've been in months that doesn't accept Apple Pay. Disappointing as it's more convenient and secure. I understand it takes time and money to implement such things but they are a huge retailer with thousands of stores - they can do it. Kind of a joke trying to get blinds cut here. I've waited multiple times for someone to help me that knew how to cut blinds. Both times waited 35+ mins. Thought I learned my lesson so I ordered online just for them to come in wrong. Took them back to take cut them and again waited 45 mins just for no one to show up. I can't understand how only one person in the build knows how to use the machine. read more

Used the Help line on the back of the brochure to the paint I was looking at, the call was well worth it, spoke to a gentleman named Roy for about 20 minutes he explained the product and what I need that was not in the instructions of the product was answered quickly from trial and error in the company. I purchased a door there May 16th. Today they texted me saying it will be delivered between 6am and 8pm. I tried to call and get an answer. Waited ALL day. Can't talk to anyone. Finally at 7pm someone picked up the phone. Turns out my door is still in the warehouse!!! Never to be delivered today. What a mess for a large store. I recommend hauling your own purchases if possible. We're renting a truck to make sure we get it tomorrow. We have contractors waiting. It's a large double door. read more

We had a reservation for a Penske Truck. The truck never showed up. The employee at the desk made 5 calls for a manager. One never answered or came to the desk. Penske was not open, so no one could find out why there was no truck. Another wasted trip to Home Depot. I don't know why I expect anything any different. It broke down 3 months ago and she has suffered without a refrigerator and she has an 18 month old. They sent a repairman out 3 times with the wrong part. Normally I would give Home Depot a 3 star or less, however on this particular visit, the customer service was outstanding. Ryan and KG in Lumber/Building were very respectful, safe, and timely in asking what I needed, getting the other needed staff to get down a unit of lumber for me, cut the bands, load the cart, and followed through with helping me load the truck. These two are exceptional. I've made several visits since and did not receive this level of customer service. Back to the normal three stars again. If only there was a Lowe's in town. read more

They sold me a used dewalt flex volt battery at this store. I cannot believe that they did this The sad part is I didn't find out until I got back home in Mexico. And tried to charge it and it didn't work. My guess is some one either bought a used one and did an exchange for a new one. Me and my family have been trying to get a new washer and dryer since last week. First, we were supposed to get our dryer last Friday, but it got delayed to this week. - I consider myself and my family to be patient people, so we were totally fine waiting a couple of more days. And so comes the issue; Our washer and dryer was supposed to come today, - and it did! which was supposed to be great- but not only was the people who were supposed to install our machine rude, but they LEFT without installing our machines!!!! My mom was the one to receive the machines today, and has been completely busy all day, so when they had asked her to go out and check the machines, she had asked them to wait 5-10 minutes so she could finish the call she was on, and then go out and check. But low and behold, when the time came to check the machines and get going on installing (which again, was only 5 minutes after she had asked for the installers to wait), THEY WERE GONE!!! They didn't even say anything to us either! they just left! It genuinely would have been a whole other story if they had communicated with us, but nothing! Not only that, we have had little to no help from your customer service department. We've been hung up on, and nobody's answered! I'm so disappointed. Do better Home Depot... read more

Everyone here is awesome. I've been here a trillion times since August in a bunch of different departments. We ordered 4 Anderson storm doors, outside furniture, a glass table top, new plumbing fixtures for two bathrooms, refrigerators, a range, an electric fireplace and a bunch of other stuff. We have purchased tons of primer, paint and assorted paraphernalia for painting, sparkling etc. All the departments have great ppl who work really hard to provide excellent service. The front desk ppl work non stop to assist everyone with whatever they need. idk why there are any reviews below a 5 star-customer service is a challenging job and the workers here do their best. read more

This is seriously one of the worst Home Depots I've ever gone to. Smaller than most stores and poorly stocked, be prepared to not find ordinary items. Once, they were completely out of duct tape! In addition to lousy customer service, they have some of the least knowledgeable employees I have ever seen, even for HD. Often, other customers stop me in the aisles and ask me for advice about plumbing or electrical because their people are so bad. Now, they have a new policy that they won't issue a store credit if you don't have the receipt. I tried to return an item in a box that said Home Depot on it - they still wouldn't take it back. So now, we have to throw things in the landfill so Home Depot can pad their bottom line. read more

I came in about 5 minutes before the store closed to buy some recessed smart lights. These lights were priced between $17 - 18 at the Vallejo and Fairfield Home Depot stores. Napa had them in stock but were priced at $28 each... We spoke with the staff and they referred us to the manager. The manager stated that the store is located in a different "zone" and that's the reason for the difference in pricing, that said he agreed the difference was a bit extreme. He discounted the product to a lower level and then without us asking for a bigger discount, he reduced it beyond the amount we requested (which was just to match the other stores or get close). His service was fantastic. Not only that but he was very friendly with his staff and everyone seemed to be very happy. This kind of thing goes a long way with me, and I personally was very impressed with how he handled the situation. Thanks Mike for the amazing service! read more

WOW!! TERRIBLE! What happened to this store. The staff could not care less. I tried calling to get someone to come to my house to measure for window coverings and was put into an infinite loop of ringing phones. The woman who initially answered the phone put me thru to the blinds department and no one picked up. The phone went back to the woman and she kept picking up the phone and transferring me back to window treatments. She never once stopped to say there was no one there and/or she'd announce that I needed help. What a terrible place and there are very few employees here. They have really gone down hill. read more

The Napa Home Depot continues to disappoint. Merchandise indicated as "In Stock" on line never is in stock. The staff are unresponsive and uncaring. I tried to buy an item that had a "lock" on it. Couldn't get anyone to come unlock it so I could purchase it. Went to the front desk several times to ask for help. No one ever came. Finally left. Instead, placed my order with Amazon for next day delivery. This is a repeated situation and an indication that in the long run, Home Depot, will not survive. read more

I came in to do a return I had the unfortunate luck up having to deal with Karla in customer service who had just come back from break and was irritated to be at work. She seemed bothered to be there and did not want to process my return. I bought some additional items I asked her for a bag she handed me the bag and couldn't be bothered to put the items that I purchased in the bag. She's awful eye rolls and all. Unfortunately we did not know how awful Home Depot would be when we hired them to do our flooring with JW floors. Never seen such a terrible organization who does not communicate with each other. They came out and measured our floors ordered wood and screwed up the order Here's the clincher-- when they went to put the wood in they got two bedrooms done and said the floor was not level and said there was nothing more they could do (really??) and left us high and dry. Never seen a business run like this in my life. They are totally incompetent in every sense of the word. The review before me said they are garbage. That is is being too kind. . They gave a deliver by date, on a rainy Wednesday they dropped off my cabinets, and left them in the driveway in the rain!!! No advance warning they were going to deliver and I was home No one bothered to ring my doorbell or knock on my door. Of course the cabinets were damaged, I am in the middle of a remodel, I am told by customer service"we can't guarantee what the delivery guys do." And the local store can' help me What...
