The wait room was OK, there's a kiosk where you sign in, so I'm not even sure why they have any front desk staff there: it certainly isn't to answer the phones! Scott was called back within a reasonable amount of time, and the Phlebotomist did a good job with the stick. They kind of have us by the balls, because his insurance requires his labs to go through Sonora Quest, or we have to pay out-of-pocket. Their stupid kiosk wasn't working properly and OF COURSE when the lady came to the front to help it ended up working. I have such a phobia of needles, even though I'm a grown man and have to get my blood drawn regularly to monitor health conditions. It's something I always dread and I usually have to request certain embarrassing accommodations to get through it. HOWEVER, I came to this location for the first time a few weeks ago and met Edelyn. She had me laughing during a long draw (sooooo many vials)! It was the easiest draw ever, no accommodations, just a normal blood draw. It was all because of her! I've come back to this location twice since then and requested her as she instructed. Each time it's been a normal draw. She is SO GOOD at what she does and I am so thankful to have stumbled upon her. Edelyn, you're an angel! SQL, give this angel woman a raise! I needed to get in quickly and before 10am for some tests and couldn't get anything scheduled online early enough for several days. Called this location and Kelce suggested I come in ASAP and they would try to squeeze me in when I arrived. That the wait at the time wasn't too bad. Fortunately there wasn't a big line when I arrived and they called me in less than 15 minutes. Unfortunately I have veins that aren't very cooperative and the first tech wasn't able to get enough for the labs requested. Kelce came by to see if she could help and saved the day with one stab. I went to this Sonora Quest today, for routine bloodwork. Edelyn was my phlebotomist...and she was excellent! I have deep veins, and ever since I was a little girl, every time I went in for bloodwork...there was always a problem finding the right vein. It was a little odd that a sample drop-off required you to sign-in and go in back with a nurse. Other locations allow you to simply drop off your samples with the receptionist, so I am not sure if the procedure has changed or if this particular location just has a different policy. Either way, quick sign-in and drop off made this a very convenient process overall. read more

I've been to this location twice and both times were great! I came to this location again today and was worried it would take a while to be called back, as I didn't have an appointment. But to my surprise I was called back within 10 minutes and got Edelyn(my favorite phlebotomist- not requested. But the grace of God . Most phlebotomists can't ever find a vein but Edelyn is amazing, she's quick, caring, warm, funny.. and yes I'm saying that after two encounters with her. She's just that great!!!! read more

Avoid this location. It's unorganized and poorly ran. Showed up for my appointment. Walked into lobby. There were more people standing than sitting in the socially distanced chairs. After asking around figured out all the people standing in a crowd (no social distance here) were in line to check in. 20 minutes later made it to the desk to check in only to find out, that I was past my time and would be considered a "walk in" and have to wait 45-60 minutes. Visited this location for my daughters pediatric draw. Evelyn was by far the most patient, fun, energetic and highly skilled phlebotomist I've ever seen. She made my daughters experience a great one- took her time and drew on the first shot! KUDOS to Edelyn! Front staff not friendly at all. All business.. not a hello, good afternoon, welcome in... just a do you have an appt? Your ins card? What I would consider unfriendly. I really wish that Quest would have corporate people in disguise to visit their facilities and see how they and others are treated. I wish I could provide this location with 1 star. Having an appointment at 2pm, it took over an hour to be seen. Each time I asked (3 times!) they said my room was being prepped. Meanwhile they kept calling other walk in customers back. When I went up the last time and asked, they had the audacity to blame me... I've visited this location for the last 4 years. Every time I visit this location they loose my blood work order or there system doesn't have it. Nevertheless the less , the wait times are over 1 1/2 hours. My wait today was 1 hour and 45 minutes before I was even called to check in. The only reason why I still keep attending this facility is because Saed is the best phlebotomists in Arizona. There are a lot of sick people in this office that and sneezing, coughing and hacking and they refuse to allow you to stand outside. If you do, they refuse to call you from outside. I think it's quite ridiculous people are complaining about wait times on their reviews. When you don't have an appointment, you need to be expected to wait. I also find it to be very rude when customers, clients, or patients have all these demands and complaints that are super unrealistic. People in Healthcare are doing the best they can with what they have been instructed to do. Being rude to them is not going to get you anywhere. I'm gonna give a big shout out to Edelyn, my phlebotomist. She is incredibly nice and full of laughter. She makes an uncomfortable situation, tolerable because of her wonderful laugh. Due to cancer treatments, my veins are fried. The nurses/phlebotomist at our doctor's office were unable to get a vein to cooperate. We went to Sonora and requested Edelyn (who was successful previously). She was able to get a vein the first time out. She is always so positive and willing to go the extra mile to help. read more

This is the most incompetent place I have ever been to. They did not complete all the tests, and when I called they told me it would take 2-3 weeks to research and they would call me back. After 3 weeks, they never did. I finally called again and they said it was an error. I had to reschedule the tests, and because one of the tests they missed was the one the doctor most wanted to discuss will have to pay over $100 for another doctor appointment. I ahoyld also add that this is rhe second the the office missed at least one test. My doctor says they are notorious for missing tests and passionately hates them. She says Lab Corp is soooo much better. Therefore, I will be driving out of my way in the future for Lab Corp. Also, when I returned for the test and explained the issue, they were rude, did not apologize, and thought I was rude for asking if it would be possible to jump the queue since it was their mistake. I was a walk-in for lab work here. They said it would be about 30-45 minutes and they would text me when they're ready for me. I had no problem with that. So went to get gas a few minutes away. Then 7 minutes after being told 30-45 they called and said they're ready for me now. I said I'm on my way back. They told me we have to put you in the end of the line since you're not ready now. I then waited another 1 hour and 20 minutes. The nurses are always very friendly though. read more

I was super nervous to go to this location or any other after reading reviews. They are all pretty bad being under 3 stars at each location. Then I thought, who could possible be happy about getting stuck with a needle; which for me is a super big deal because I just don't like it!! When we had to do some labs on one of our kiddos, I chose this location simple because it was close to my house. (Although I would have drove across the valley for a location with 5 stars!) I made an appointment the day before and when we arrived, we were taken back within minutes. The lady that took our kiddos blood was Malika. (Pretty sure that was her name.) She was soooo good, talking through everything she was doing. Very professional by asking a bunch of questions, making sure she was drawing blood on the right person and then asking to verify info on the vials afterwards. Because of our experience, our kiddo is not a cry baby/wimp like the mom! (me...) We had to go back again today. I chose to do a walk in because the appointment times didn't work out for me. There was a 3 minute wait at 2:30 pm. I requested Malika when we got there, because of my own phobias. Same thing today... great experience!!! Thank You!! Had blood drawn for some lab tests and this Sonora Quest location was terrific. It was easy to make my appointment on line and when I arrived I was able to check in at the kiosk. Shortly after that the front desk person quickly verified my insurance info. While I was waiting I was impressed by the upbeat and friendly interaction between all the staff and the clients (as well as between themselves). My technician was Dimeca and not only was she friendly, positive, upbeat and efficient - she flawlessly and painlessly did the draw! I went to this Sonora Quest because of the location convenience. I walked in, and was asked if I had an appointment. I did not, but they were still able to get back to us fairly quickly considering. The tech named Edelyn took us back & I was immediately attacked on why a foot warmer wasn't properly placed on my son's foot. Which I wasn't told in the first place how to put on. She pricks my son's foot to draw the blood. She hands me gauze and asks if I had brought socks for him, to which my answer was no. She proceeded to shake her head, and was exceptionally rude with her response. I then asked for a band aid for his foot that was bleeding everywhere, and was told she didn't have any. I have never felt so belittled in my life. What a terrible experience. I would recommend going elsewhere!! read more

Sometimes the wait times at the various Sonora Quests are long. However, I like this one the best as it seems to have the least long wait times. This would be more like a 4 star. How the 5 star, and I give it better than a 5 star is they always draw my blood well. I don't get stuck twice and it doesn't leave me bruised. Every blood person I've ever gotten at Sonora Quest is trained well to take blood here, way better than at the doctor's office or the hospitals. This location is very backed up all the time. There is no concern about staffing appropriately to meet demand. No appointments available all week. Walked in Tuesday afternoon to a sign on the door saying closed for training. Came today/Friday afternoon and waited 50 minutes before being officially checked in. I understand things het busy, but it always seems to be here. I gave an extra star for the staff/technicians. They are great, friendly and fast once you're back in. My only negative reaction was the waiting time after checking in. This is not uncommon in understaffed medical facilities so I brought a book to read if needed. I just don't understand, I came in at 10 am, the lobby was full of people so after getting my order in I asked if they were able to call me so I could sit in my car and save a seat for any of the elders that were there, 2 hours later falling asleep in my car I ask for a time estimate and they said they had already call my name out and was just in the discard pile. Took my daughter here this morning for some lab work around 9:30am. The place was extremely busy and we hardly found seats to ourselves. This was to be expected though. Most people are fasting from the night before and are in a rush to get their lab work done as early as possible so they can go back to eating. This wasn't the case for us, but could explain the packed waiting room. Patients were called back one right after the other, and just as soon as patients were being seen, more were coming in. We were finally seen an hour later. I really wasn't disappointed given the amount of people that were there. As I said earlier, the flow was was pretty consistent with patients being called back. I would come here again, but I would take advantage of their appointment scheduling that can be done online. read more
