I came here for dinner a couple of weeks ago while visiting the area. My date ordered the grilled flounder and enjoyed it. I had the flounder with coconut shrimp, which was a bit of a mixed experience. The grilled flounder was overcooked, though I really liked the sauce it came with. The shrimp was a bit too sweet for my taste, so I ended up removing the coconut breading. The salad and rice were both good, but the green beans were overly garlicky for me. Service was great throughout the meal.

Our dinner was very good! The seating inside is a bit small, but there is also bar seating. The service was really good. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. The cheese enchiladas were nice and hot, and rice and beans had a lot of flavor. The fish and shrimp plate was a bit small, but very good. The chicken Alfredo was really good as well, the bread gave it the extra touch! My favorite was probably the fried shrimp! I also recommend getting a lemonade, the lemonade tastes freshly made. Will def be back!

I know I know, coming all the way to Mexico just to eat pizza is crazy lol. But it was late and we saw how other pizzas looked online and had to try it. We got the standard pepperoni pizza and it was very fresh and hot. That big of a pizza for $16 is a good deal. Doesn't taste as good the next day but most pizza doesn't. The bar waitress was very friendly. If the chips were warm, they would've been hittin.

Surf and turf excellent- great vibe to this cozy cafe and very good prices. The filet and shrimp cooked perfectly.

Smaller then I expected.. Friendly staff.. Little bit loud for my taste but food was good. I ordered wings since I was craving it.. But it was actually pretty good. Pizza was pretty good. Shrimp cocktail was really good. Nachos.. Not so good.. Chicken Alfredo I was told pretty good. And coconut shrimp was pretty good... Over all good was good staff was friendly. I would go back again. Not to mention it was walking distance from the hotel. All that with beer, sangria, 2 virgin drinks, coke, and two bottle of waters.. $98 before tip.

This was reasonably priced- beef tacos on the Mexican combo plate $10.50.

I rarely write a negative review- so bear with me. The food was good, however, $15.75 for shrimp fajitas that include 7 shrimp and $5.50 for a half cup of guacamole were excessively priced. Also, $12.00 per margarita with Patron, ridiculous. The value for the food and service just did not measure up when there are so many great options in Rocky Point. It was a first and last visit for us...

The hospitality is exceptional at Sonora Grill. The food was slammin! Two days we ate at this spot while spending a weekend at the resort and we had zero complaints except that we ate too much. I only took pictures of some meals. It was us and another couple and we all couldn't praise it enough. We will be back for sure!

Great little resto in Rocky Point!

It's my favorite out in RP. I love the clam chowder, the surf and turf and shrimp scampi alfredo. Everything is amazing, my favorite :D

We were the only ones in the restaurant when we went. The young girl who took care of us was great! She was friendly & super sweet. Hubby got a Michelada & added a shot of Tito's since there was no alcohol in the tomato juice part of the drink. He said it was really good. My sangria was good. It's made with pineapple juice. We ordered the chips & salsa. We also ordered the guacamole. The chips & salsa were good. I was happy there was no heat in the salsa since I am a huge whimp when it comes to spicy food. The guacamole was really good after we added some salt & lime juice. I normally don't eat guacamole, but I liked it too. We went "out of our box" & tried the whole fried fish. We split it. We asked her to add rice & beans if it didn't come with it. It was huge. The fish was fried perfectly! Hubby loved it. I liked it too. It was moist. The rice was good. The refried beans were excellent! I don't know what they do, but the texture & flavor was the best we have ever had. I loved them. We will definitely make this place are go to when we come down again. Please note tips are cash only in case you don't carry cash!

I have Carlos V shrimp, something new for me. Such generous portions, you'll leave her 10lbs heavier. Allegedly they have dessert but too full to try. I knew thru my friend's recommendation, Cholla Bay Oyster House was definitely on my list of venturing away from the Calle 13 hub. Thank goodness I paid attention to my girlfriend's footage and noticed there's a decent stretch of packed sand from Diego's Tiki Bar to CBOH. It's an 8 minute drive (4.9km) between those two locations in the sand. My bestie & I are pavement princesses and are not comfortable riding on sand. So, we opted to rent a Rhino ATV and it was a great trip out to Choya Bay. There's decent parking out front, but, you can also take the sandy driveway down below and park close to the bay (on the rocks or close to the restaurant walls, if space is available). There's decent parking weather was sunny, not overly warm, and beautiful enough to sit outside underneath their covered patio. Since my bestie's a picky eater- (no seafood), CBOH had something for everyone. They got pasta, quesadillas, carne, pollo, soups & salads, etc. There's also Specials of the Week (and they vary by which day). I was curious about the Tuna Chicharron. I was wondering if it was similar to Nobu's fried fish skins. But here, it's like ordering tuna chunks that's breaded, fried, & served with drizzles of a teriyaki bbq sauce (SO GOOD!) and fresh guacamole. Each bite was tender and delicious. The shrimp ceviche tostada was good. There's a difference in the shrimp taste from Gulf of California (Sea of Cortez), compared to Gulf of Mexico or from the Pacific Ocean. Since hubby and I love us some battered fish tacos- we were NOT expecting these huge fillets that came inside EACH taco! Gasp!! And mind you, they come in an order of 3!! These battered fish tacos are NOT what you get back home in San Diego. One order of 3 here can feed 2 people, if ya'll wanna make room in your belly for more yum yums! You'll actually get TWO fish fillets PER taco! Staff is friendly and always checks on you. Come out for the gorgeous views, fresh food and
