One of my hearing aids had stopped working and I needed to get it fixed as quickly as possible. Called to make an appointment and got their voice mail and left a message. Received a return call 3 days later. Earliest the appointment was in 3 weeks. The day of the appointment I called to confirm and reached voice mail again. This was during their working hours. I called again and was put on hold and then disconnected. Went to their office only to be told I was there on the wrong day. There were 3 people in the office and no one was answering the phones. Even though the Northridge office is closest, I am taking my business else where. I seriously doubt that I got my appoinment day wrong. read more

I've had a lot of conversations with Stephanie via phone call and in person and she's always treated me very nicely and gone out of her way if possible to help me. When I went to the office, my wait was not very long. Everybody was very friendly. I'm now waiting to see if insurance will pay for my new hearing aids. I went here for a routine hearing test. They put you in a private booth and put headphones and earplugs and do a lot of sounds. The staff were nice and explains what to expect and all that. I got my results a week later via phone call. read more

One of my hearing aids broke (the plastic tube), and I needed a repair ASAP. I was DESPERATE because I am involved in leadership at work, and I communicate with lots of people. So, hearing aids to me is extremely important. So, I called the office and I told them my situation. They do not accept walk-in, only appointment. I called early January of 2024, and they do not have any availability until the end of January. So, what I did is I googled the parts and the name to replace the broken parts and searched it up on Amazon. It arrived the next day and I fixed it myself. This isn't the first time Sonus has done this. Previous time, back in 2018, I had to literally open my hearings apart and clean it out. I also did some basic repair on it as well. Next thing you know, it's fixed. I called my insurance company and requested a transfer or change provider to Hearing Associate because one of my friends recommended that place. After my request/transfer, they called me the next day to schedule an earlier appointment. I declined because I had literally begged for help and they did not help me. I do not recommend anyone to use Sonus. read more

I had a hearing test conducted by the audiologist Sally and she was excellent. The office was organized. They took me right immediata at my appointment time and they were very efficient. All my questions were answered and I left happy from the experience. My Internist recommended this office and I was not disappointed. read more

This was my second time to go there. The staffs are friendly and greet when I approached the front desk. The negative was waiting to call your name to be ready. Why waste 30 minutes waiting since your appointment time and missed half day from your job. They need to improve about time call to be ready. Overall, I am so HAPPY to have new Hearing Aids to hear everything from bird chirping to snoring sound. Very satisfied customer here. I would give four stars but the waiting call. read more

Dr. Chan and her staff are really the best, she is so patient with both my mom and dad. She knows so much about hearing aids, software, and just about everything else. She is also up to date with new research and technology news. I rate her professionalism 10/10 and recommend her if you can get on her schedule. Frustrating. Called to make an appointment for a hearing exam and the person over the phone couldn't make an appt for me unless I had a referral from my insurance company. WHAT?? Your website says FREE HEARING EXAM!!! My insurance gave me their info so I told her I could show her that they were on the list of providers but she still would not make the appt. unless I faxed it over. WHO HAS A FAX???? I said I could email it? Nope. Only fax. I promptly hung up. I do not suggest wasting your time. read more

These people called 10 min before 11A appt to cancel, rescheduled for first slot at 12:30P... found the office closed doors opened at 12:35P they ushered another person who came after me into a exam room... didn't get in for scheduled test until after 1P... these people are worst run "quasi medical operation" I have ever encountered a supposedly medical professional service with such an unprofessional, cavalier manner of handling patients appointments. read more

The person who answered my call was Dan. I asked him questions nd he cannot give me answers, said he's only an intern. I asked him to transfer me to a person who can give me answers, he then transferred me to Leticia. What a nightmare talking to her!!! She's rude and she doesn't know anything! When I asked when they submitted an application for a free phone for my mom, she said that she does not know and that the doctor was the one who applied for it. I asked her to look for their records, she said that they do not keep records of such submissions. What?When I asked her when my parents will receive their hearing aids, she said that LA Care takes long time to authorize applications. I asked like how long. She said - I don't know. She is very rude. When I talk, she will talk. She is very irritating too with all her "I don't know" answers! She's not good for the business! read more

I have Cigna and got a referral from a FACEY clinic on Dec.17 and made an appointment the same day with SONUS for the soonest date of Jan 14. After a month of waiting I arrived on time and filled out forms. BTW, one of the forms asks you to sign that you've received documents which you haven't. I didn't sign and it was never noticed. 45 min after my appointment time the office girl tells me my authorization has expired and they can't see me. I tell her I believe I don't need a referral with my plan and therefore no authorization. She insists and I hear her talking to FACEY on the phone about how the expired authorization cannot be extended while I'm waiting there. Again I'm told I cannot be seen. I go home pretty irritated and immediately call Cigna to straighten things out. Cigna calls SONUS while I'm on hold and comes back to tell me there never was any authorization and that I don't need one with my plan. I ask who's responsible for knowing that and am told SONUS is responsible, particularly the office help who sent me away. Also there were business cards for 3 audiologists on the counter while 4 people were waiting for appointments. I asked which one I would be seeing and was told those 3 aren't in and I would be seeing a floater, that is until they turned me away incorrectly. I can't speak to the medical care but the office is a sick joke. I will be finding hearing care elsewhere. read more

I went to Dr. Kosha, what a joke. (SONUS) No one calls you back, for two weeks I am waiting for them provide information about what my insurance will cover. Two weeks later I call them and the excuse, we have been really busy, maybe you can call your insurance. So, I call my insurance and get a phone number for them to call, I call them back, and am told-we can't call them because we still are too busy. They kept saying my insurance only covers 80%, I had called my insurance and was told I was covered 100%. So, I call back and they said nope your insurance only covers 80%, i asked who did you talk to, no answer, they are full of crap! They probably say 80% so they can bill 100% and get a kick back. AUDIT! they need to be audited as they are horrible to customers (New Ones) do not call you back and constantly LIE! Pathetic business, I went to Miracle ear, and in one hour was fitted and my insurance -when miracle ear called covered 100%. SONUS is HORRIBLE DO NOT GO THERE LIARS! read more

i have had nothing but a wonderful experience at sonus northridge and sonus encino. i have now become a regular at the northridge office and i must say i was a little nervous w/ the transition for my son , but, come to find out....everyone to the audiologist (kosha ganatra!!!!) to the staff, naomi and leticia for being patient w/ me! i am just so blessed and pleased to have my sons care in the hands of kosha because she is a true gem /angel sent from above. i would highly recommend sonus to anyone w/ the need. thank you sonus northridge for everything. - truly, sara and will read more
