They do a fantastic job adjusting hearing aids, explaining the process, and explaining the adjustment period and feelings involved. I avoided hearing aids most of my life because no one could ever get them done correctly. Now I can't live without them. I'm really troubled thinking about how my hearing aid was working just fine 35 months into use, but Dr. O. still insisted I turn it over to her to "get a new one before the warranty ends." What I got back looked like my same old hearing aid -- no new packaging or anything else -- and then it stopped working three months later after the warranty period had already ended. At that point, I was told I could pay $400 to extend the warranty only another six months. I refused to pay that and started the process to get a new hearing aid all over again with a new doctor and new insurance. Do not give this office your hearing aid right before the warranty ends! If it's not broke, don't fix it! read more

First let me say Dr. O' Boyle is an exceptional doctor. I can't remember how we were referred but I'm so glad we found her! My daughter had a double ear infection a little over a year ago which caused permanent hearing loss and tinnitus. It was at that time we began going to Hearing Associates. Why do I think she is exceptional: 1) Dr. O' Boyle has a passion for her work; and you can feel it in her office. From sitting in on multiple appointments I can tell you she too suffers from hearing loss. She has LIVED IT and shares her experiences when making recommendations. 2) I'm very impressed that she is training the next generation of audiologists. On many occasions Dr. O' Boyle asked permission to allow students to sit in on our appointments, hearing tests, etc. These students were from CSUN and very grateful to share in on the real world experience. 3) On a more personal note, Dr. O' Boyle's energy level is something to be admired. It did not matter if we saw her first thing in the morning or we were the last patient of the day; she is HIGH ENERGY. You are going to get your money's worth... I assure you. From the moment the office door was opened by the receptionist- she was friendly courteous and business-like. Then I met Angelica O'Brian. She may have changed my life. I had the wrong tulip domes for my hearing aids and she swapped out my filters. As a hearing aid wearer herself, she knew what I had been going through. Her expertise gave me great information on how to deal with noisy environments and restaurants. I also will have a poster on my door informing my students that I am very hard of hearing, and they must speak loudly. I am sure I am not the only educator who has a hearing issue. Unfortunately I lost an expensive hearing aid and couldn't contact the original provider, so I called this company and I can't even tell you what an amazing experience it has been. Hearing Associates ran screening tests that my previous audiologist never ran, and they ordered a replacement hearing aid. They then re-ran hearing tests and refined the settings on both my new and old hearing aids to make sure they were working well together, and to program both hearing aids to provide me with the best hearing experience possible. And, the entire staff is so nice to work with! I would sincerely recommend this company to anyone who needs help hearing! I think they are great! read more

I was referred here for my mom for her primary dr right when I called to make an appt and I have my mothers name right away the scheduler/receptionist asked if she spoke English I said no she doesn't she put me on hold cake back and said sorry we can't see your mom the Dr doesn't speak Spanish I was so mad I could not even believe they said this.. I called my Dr back and told them and the lady said apologized and stated this isn't the 1st time she heard them turn down a new patient due to a language barrier !!! I don't know who's running this business but this is so uncalled for. I only see stuff like this on TV not close to home .. Thumbs down don't go here very unprofessional and they don't take spanish speaking patients!!! read more

I had my first appointment today with Dr. Boyle . If I can give this doctor 10 stars I would-- She was friendly -highly professional -incredibly knowledgeable- She was a treasure trove of info about my hearing issues Dana administered most of the hearing tests like a pro ( I forgot she was even a student ) The Dr took a lot of time to explain many areas of my hearing loss and she was a wonderful mentor to her student Dana who is there observing and also participating-- From the moment I walked in the office they were following very strict guidelines with the Covid pandemic.. I can't get over how informative she was and how knowledgeable she was when it came to explaining to me all facets of my hearing loss she not only was a teacher but she also was very nurturing and super professional..Dana was also great and I can tell she will become a great audiologist as well.. As I was leaving I saw a few very nice girls behind the front desk who were, equally friendly and very professional . The wonderful gal who did all my paper work was equally friendly and professional ....I knew her from a doctors office where she used to work... . all in all I was there almost 2 hours my experience was off the charts amazing ...anybody who's looking for an audiologist should not think twice and run to this amazing office.. Dr. O' Boyle was recommended to me by my patient , a retired audiologist. She did not disappoint. Dr. Angela O'Boyle clearly has the expertise and the passion for making your experience very worthwhile. I have been on several audiologists appts with my mom and my husband and myself. The other places were just dispensaries of hearing appliances. They had limited knowledge and they were there to make the sale. Dr. O'Boyle cleaned the ears first before testing the hearing. She tested cognitive function. She gave several follow up appointments so that you would gain a great understanding of whatever hearing aid you got. She has all sorts of interesting contraptions to test the hearing aid to make sure that your prescription matches what you are actually hearing. The evaluation was comprehensive. Hearing Aides are an investment and if you are going to make the investment you want to go somewhere that will guide you and assist you so that you know you are on the correct path. I have received top notch care since getting my first set of hearing aids there 6 years ago. Since my hearing is very different in each ear, the Audiologist (who also wears hearing aids) has been able to adjust and fine tune my hearing aids for optimum performance. She is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to dealing with insurance companies. I get all the benefits I am entitled to...regular hearing tests and new hearing aids. The office staff is great. On 2 occasions when I was having "problems" with my hearing aids, the office staff quickly fixed them. The Audiologist contacts my ENT doctor when appropriate. They diagnosed my hearing loss and helped me get a set of amazing hearing aids that sync up to my phone. I can't believe how loud I had the TV before! I used to have trouble with phone conversations at work, now it's much much easier to hear people. The Dr is extremely knowledgeable and passionate! I have had debilitating vertigo for a year and had put off getting tested due to difficulty finding a provider that didnt act like they were doing me a favor taking my money to be treated, or flat out fabricating info. Dr. O'Boyle was great!! She was patient and explained everything she was doing and why before, during and after each test; including, how the equipment worked and how it was developed. She was able to give a preliminary diagnosis and prognosis based on my results right there. While its wasn't strictly good news, she left me with some treatment options that should alleviate some of my symptoms and allow me to be more productive on a daily basis and I was able to leave her office, hopeful. One little glitch in the visit was an incident with the receptionist on the phone. I thought she over-reacted in her response to a simple, easily fixed matter. I chose to take it as tho she was having a hectic day because When I arrived at the office everyone was pleasant and professional, answered my questions and efficiently processed my intake. Whatever that first individual's problem was, I do think she needs better public relations training as it almost changed my mind about doing business here and I would hate for such a good doctor to loose business because of one employee. I recommend Dr. O'Boyle and this office for ear related assessments (hearing and balance). The inside of the building and their office was comfortable and clean. I had a test done about a yr ago, from the get go I didn't have a positive experience with the "office manager". She was very rude and wasn't helpful at all. I'm not one to bite my tongue but in this case I did, I had been feeling sick and just needed my test done. Unfortunately my ENT wanted the same test I had a year ago, repeated. My health insurance approved me at the same location. I was very hesitant to schedule an appointment because of my past experience and dealing with the office wasn't positive. The second time around wasn't any different than the first experience. The day of my appointment, I felt very ill and had to go to the Er. I called the office and had the pleasure of dealing with the very NEGATIVE, empathetic "office manager". The whole conversation we had was a blur, I was in the ER and the only thing on my mind was to get better. A few months later I tried scheduling the test my ENT needed done and the office manager was extremely rude to me and told me I had received a $100 cancellation fee and that she wasn't going to be able to schedule me for an appointment. She also told me I needed to call my referring doctor and have them submit another authorization to be seen else where. The whole time I kept asking her how and where can I go to submit proof that I was in the ER the day I had to cancel my appointment with them? She never answered my question and she just kept telling that my time frame to show proof was OVER!. The whole time the office manager was NOT pro active and instead of diffusing the situation, she hung up on me. I called back and my call wasn't answered. The second time I called I had to block my number..finally someone picked up and I was eventually transferred back to the very rude, office manager.. at this point I was very upset but not once did I ever cuss or called her out of her name. I questioned why did she hang up on me, she said because I was being "vulgar".. she kept repeating that I could no longer be seen there. At that point I didn't want to set foot in that office ever again, not after being treated in that negative, insensitive manner.. all I wanted was to be able to get get a hold of someone that I can show proof I was in the ER. I didn't want to get stuck with the $100 cancellation fee! I asked the office manager if I could speak to someone above her and she said there wasn't anyone above her except the doctor. I asked how to go about getting in touch with the doctor? She told me I could write a letter and mail it but after that anything else would be "out of her hands". After I got off the phone with her, I was very shaken up, I had bad anxiety.. I couldn't believe how unprofessional she was.. I didn't deserve to be treated in that manner. I called my health insurance right away and filed a grievance against them. It's horrible having to deal with my symptoms of being dizzy and foggy brain.. and to have to deal with a person like this over the phone , that's supposed to be of help and supposed to make it a positive experience but does the complete opposite.. just HORRIBLE !! If I could of, I would of given this place ZERO stars! Horrible experience.. especially if you're feeling ill don't even bother coming here. read more

Make an appointment with Hearing Association and Im sure you'll get great results. i've had a terrible time with another facility trying to get hearing aids. I had been waiting 2 months for this to happen and they still haven't procured them. I had to shop around and find an office that I could go to. I called and talked to Christine and she was more than accommodating , Super helpful. I didn't have to wait on the phone and when I did leave a message it was returned right away. She even tried to get my records and found out my health insurance would not cover them. Christine even gave me a Phone contact for hearing aids for people who can't afford them....
