I knew where this place was as it has been at the same location along Ke'eaumoku St, between Kinau and Beretania and next to Mai Lan Vietnamese restaurant for decades! There's dedicated parking stalls on the side of the building, in the same lot as the Texaco gas station. Look for the Keeaumoku Pawn / Linh's Alteration sign. It's the same place! But it's definitely more so an alteration place than pawn shop. My wife has been here several times for repairs and alterations. This time I needed repairs! One of my newer Aloha Shirts had a seam splitting after just two washes, and it was all sold out at stores and online, so I wasn't able to exchange! The inside was clean and spacious. Linh was very friendly, nice, and an excellent listener. She definitely has very sharp eyes. Also, she is quite efficient! My shirt was finished in just a couple of days. Shirt was clean, neatly folded, and stitched very nicely. It was $15 plus tax, which was definitely reasonable. It wasn't a big area and it might've been a "simple" fix. Overall, I was happy with my shirt and the whole process, and will definitely bring any clothes that need repairs or alterations to Linh's! It's not a surprise she is contracted and trusted by several high to mid luxury brands. Location is convenient and parking is free and available.

The hems are clean, consistent, and exactly how I want them every time. Helpful tip: if you already know your inseam (and it's accurate), checkout goes much faster. Turnaround is quick too. My alterations are usually ready within a couple of days. I've been in when they're busy with things like prom dress alterations, so they clearly handle a wide range of alterations. I held onto my Husqvarna Viking mechanical sewing machine, which I got for myself during my early teens, until after COVID-19 and only used it for general home sewing and for making filter-cloth face masks for family use. However, a couple of years ago, I turned in my "vintage" sewing machine since I rarely used it, but at least managed to hand-stitch whatever patching or button replacement on either my husband's clothes or mine. However, because most of our clothes are made from stretchy materials, I needed to find either a sewist or a tailor who has a serger sewing machine, which is used to create stretchy seams or overcast fabric edges to prevent fraying, after discovering holes in mis-stitched seams in a couple of recently purchased garments. I knew that even if I had kept my sewing machine, I would not be able to finish seams on stretchy fabrics and was too lazy to process returns to the retailer for such minor repairs, so I decided to take my garments into nearby Crossroads Fashions Alterations. We parked in one of the stalls in front of the businesses in this building and strode into the shop, where we were immediately greeted by the affable sewist/owner. We signed into her daily DROP OFF Log as we brought out the garments to show her the re-stitching needed. The sewist/owner remarked on the high-quality knit of the garments' material and confidently assured me that she would not only mend the mis-stitched areas but also reinforce the entire seam in question. Also, she showed us that she had matching thread colors on hand. After she quoted us a very affordable price for the repair work and scheduled a week-later pickup date, I told her I wasn't in a rush, so the one-week time frame was fine. We returned a week later, signed into this business' PICK UP Log while identifying ourselves with the claim slip. She brought out our garments and allowed us to "inspect" her work, which we deemed excellent and could not even tell where repairs were done. The cost for repair was very affordable, and the one-week pick-up time was reasonable. I would not hesitate to return to Crossroad Fashions Alterations for any garment mending or alterations in the future.
