Soothe has become a SCAM. At 7 AM, I booked a massage for 7 PM today. Around 5 PM, they informed me that they had not been able to find a massage therapist in my area. That's understandable. BUT they billed my credit card just under $200 at 7 AM, i.e. when they had not yet found a massage therapist. I've now been on the phone with them for over 2 hours trying to get my money back. They drop calls. They bot text but don't reply. Seeking the relaxation benefits of a massage, I've now lost $200, 2 hours of time and am annoyed and frustrated. I was excited to surprise my significant other for an in home couples massage since I flew into town. Found this on a google search and they even had late night availability; only to experience easily the worst massage / experience I ever spent $200 on. My first masseuse (Annalise) showed up on time very professional (we even waited in the parking lot for the 2nd masseuse) The 2nd masseuse showed up 15-20 minutes late no phone call on being late and then had difficulty driving through the security gate which I had to go get her from. They arrive in the home and both masseuse are setting up. Annalise was the one who had 8 years experience so I gave her to my boyfriend while this second masseuse had 1 year (bad match up)! Let's just say for 60 minutes I was completely draped wrong and revealing myself to the masseuse and whoever would have been in that room. She did techniques that were similar to being arrested with kindergarten rubbing techniques. Used little to no oil at all. Draped me and shook me back and forth like you wake up a child from a nap. By far the worst massage. Being a good patron I still tipped her because I had to tip the other masseuse and called soothe.com immediately as I was guaranteed the day before when booking that customer satisfaction was a priority. The masseuse even stayed behind to sincerely apologize for my experience because she said she could see from the other side of the room that I was draped terribly and being stretched like a rag doll. Soothe.com offered me $50 for this terrible experience and told me I'd get a call back 24 hours later. It's been 72 hours , no call back and I had to call myself and was told nothing more can be done. All in all! If you re used to expertise in firm Swedish massages don't book with soothe ; if you see the profile of your selected masseuse before they arrive pay attention to it because you don't want to end up like I was "exposed and ripped off". Customer service was terrible and told me they couldn't do anything else. I'll never book with their in home services again! I'm a monthly member and each month I have some sort of mistakes with billing and customer service replies on canned messages usually, not taking the time to review account details. After texting back and forth on details, she suddenly stopped replying, and a few minutes later, she unbooked our appointment for 5pm without explanation. I called soothe to ask why I wasn't informed, and they apologized (said therapist double booked) and said they would try a later time of 5:30 to see if another therapist could take the appointment. I said that was fine, although I wanted 5 as the time because I had a dinner planned after. The massage went fine, but it turns out that they charged me $20 for rescheduling the appointment, even though their employee flaked out on US, and I didn't ask for a different appointment time!!! I have reached out to customer support via email twice and by phone with no help! Oh my god what a poor experience. Ordered with the app 12 hours before the massage time. 2 minutes later I got the approval. The woman arrived in time and she was really nice. Her material was really clean. The music she brought was relaxing. That's the good part. Directly after the start I noticed that the long booked time will not be one of the good experiences. But I did not want to become rude and make her being ashamed, so I let her continue. It was not a massage at all. This woman does not know how to give a massage. It was more a tapping, touching, partly tickling. She used her elbow a few times, but she did not know how to do it and it seemed that she was not informed about human anatomy. I'm a doctor and I know, where the muscles are, even if I just learned it long ago and did not need this knowledge often since then. She did not know about that, that was sure. And she did not know how to use her hands and arms to give the client a good experience. There were no fluid movements at all. Stopping here, starting there again, no concept at all. In the end of the really long time I was a bit relaxed, okay. But that's it. It was one of the most expensive and the worst massage I ever got. This is the promise of quality soothe gives? Okay, understood. App deleted. I thought about calling for refunding the money. But the woman almost begged to rate her 5 stars, seemed to be under big pressure. I don't want to harm anybody. It's not the fault of this woman. It's the fault of Soothe. If they are not able to check the quality of duty in advance, if they give me this bad experience and charge this high amount... Then they should know that they need to do better. I will rate now - not in the app but by deleting the Soothe app forever. What a waste of time and money for me. First of all, this was so easy to do - I booked a massage at 8pm on a Saturday night for a 9pm massage at my hotel. I used the first timer code, and got $30 off so the massage was $70 including tip for 60 mins (GREAT!). I accidentally entered the wrong address....so the company contacted me around 8:45 to confirm the address, and my masseuse Olga was still able to get here on time even though I had made the mistake! The app mentions that you should try and pay for masseuse's valet if your hotel requires that, so I was prepared with cash. BUT she had the courtesy of having someone drop her off, so I didn't have that extra charge!!! She was extremely friendly, asked me about my preferences, set up the table super fast, and we were on to the massage. The whole process was extremely professional, and she even had a Soothe branded shirt on - you can tell this company really make sure they are hiring high quality masseuses who are well trained and highly professional. The massage was incredible - she did everything I asked for. She even asked me if I preferred a head massage or not (how considerate! I hate oil in my hair!).
