I can honestly say that she is the only one who represents the complete hair care package as a professional beautician. By that, I mean that she can color, cut, trim and set; I have found, not all hairdressers can do. Some are very good at color, but not-so-good at the rest. I have traveled 7 hours at times to be able to secure her expert assistance. That should tell you something. In addition to being the BEST hairdresseer I personally, know (which my much younger daughter agrees with) she is a deight as a person. When I arrived I was met at the door by the "bridal expert" I felt like I was a burden right away. She was annoyed my hair was still somewhat wet and she said to make sure I wash it the night before and to tell all my bridesmaids to wash it the night before. Ok, not an issue. The makeup portion went fine we had a good conversation, so things were looking up. I think she did a great job on my eyes, but I really wanted some great contouring and I don't think she did that. Hair, this is where we went downhill. She said my hair was dry. I apologized and promised to use product before the wedding. She said not to use product the week before because she wouldn't be able to do anything with it, I've never heard of such a thing. I asked for two pieces left out to curl to frame my face. While trying to curl them she said she didn't like these pieces and asked if she can just CUT them off! She was frustrated I didn't have extensions. And I told her I was open to them if it was needed to achieve the look and if she couldn't do that without them to focus on either the updo part or just curl the bottom. Idk why, but she teased the bottom. It looked like a rats nest. I don't understand how she could leave it like that. How would that make me want to come back with my bridal party!? Maybe I was just an inconvenience and she didn't want me to come back? Really disappointed. As soon as I saw it I said thank you and paid $150. I didn't bother to comment or ask her to change anything cause at that point I knew I'd be going elsewhere.

It's conveniently located downtown Oswego (by Tap House Grill also a favorite). Recently remodeled single salon gives it a nice clean and modern feel. Fun artwork displayed and well organized. A variety of quality hair products are available for sale. Now the Hair part! Barb does such a wonderful job putting in my highlights and lowlights, getting down into those roots! While I wait for the color to do it's thing....she is always hospitable whether you need something to drink, magazine or want to listen to music your choice. She is wonderful company and fun to talk to. I love how she cuts my hair and even touches it up to make sure it's perfectly how I like it. I have had updos for weddings and events done as well. Barb listens to what you want and gets it done and for those who don't always know she will help you figure it out. I have always left this salon extremely happy and at ease unlike other salons I have left in tears or just wasn't happy. Mani was supposed to be no chip they didn't even last 2 days on.... The worse part of everything is that she really damaged my nails she filed them so thin to the last layer. While she was doing them I did complain twice and told her it was hurting I even told her when she put the nail polish on that it felt hot she said it was normal.. got worse with the light. I am so disappointed of this place. I might need to consult a dr at this point. I can't even do nothing with that hand using both fingers it's so painful.
