Cavatelli al Pesto
Anna B.

Hey! If you're looking for authentic Italian food at a family restaurant, this is the place. They have friendly staff and good service, and you have the option of take-out or dine-in. They had cold pizza slices up front that looked good, so I ordered one slice of Margarita pizza that they then heated up in the oven and brought to our table.  Once she walked over with the pizza slice and the aroma of oregano and hot crust hit my nose, my mouth was watering. It looked so good and tasted delicious! The crust was ULTRA thin, which I loved! It had a nice chew as well as a satisfying crunch. The sauce and mozzarella were just the right amounts for the slice. It had well-balanced flavors with the oregano, slices of mozzarella,  basil, and slightly sweet and tangy sauce. I could probably eat a whole pie by myself, it was so good! We also got pasta, which came with your choice of bread (we got garlic bread) and a salad. The garlic bread was toasted hoagie bread with some garlic and olive oil spread on top and some parsley to garnish. It was nothing to write home about, but it was still good. However, I would not recommend the salad. I got mine with balsamic dressing, and the dressing looked muddy. It was an opaque light brown, and the flavor was muddled and not balanced. The vegetables were dry and did not look freshly cut. The salad was just not pleasant. My friend declined the salad that came with her pasta, and I should have followed her lead. Luckily, the pasta was delicious! My friend ordered the cheese ravioli, which  looked very good. The sauce and the ravioli also looked freshly made. I know my friend enjoyed it very much. The Cavatelli al Pesto I ordered was very good! The pasta was cooked al dente and was evenly coated in a creamy, light pesto sauce. The only thing I'll say is that it was a bit under-seasoned. I needed to add a bit of salt and parmesan on top. They give you a generous portion of pasta, and mine was definitely enough for two meals. Overall, minus the salad, it was a good experience, and I'd recommend their pizza and pasta.

Forgot to take a picture! This place is a hidden gem. I had chicken parm and wife had lasagna. Huge portions! Sauce is just perfect and we both are sauce snobs! Going to try the pizza next time. Edit: got pictures this time! We go almost seekly.

Me and Mom enjoy a terrific lunch.

I am alway scared when I order tomato pie, you never know what you will get. The grandma is not exactly what I would call tomato pie but it is close enough. This crunch crust pizza is currently my favorite in the Lehigh Valley. It was pretty good cold the next day also.

THAT YUMMY YUM!!! In true vegan fashion I ordered the tomato pie. I initially was nervous as it was not what I expected but I quickly was very satisfied! It had thin perfect crust with slightly sweet tomato sauce topped with basil and olive oil, Delicioso!

Boscaiola-penne with peas and mushrooms in a pink meat sauce. YOU NEED TO TRY THIS DISH!

Food was great. The grandma's Sicilian pie was delicious! The garlic knots were spot on, as well.

Amazing place. been there on a few occasions before…read more fantastic staff, always service with smile. amazing food, tried a few options, all of them are very nice. and finally, the garlic knots. fresh hot garlic knots show up as soon as you sit. this itself is worth a visit.

We opted indoor by the window and they had the door open so you could still get the weather without being outside. I dreamed of the garlic rolls for years. They are baked fresh throughout the day and evening. Freshly made rolls, drowned in olive oil, and then covered in basically an entire head of garlic. So many dates and girls nights we would have to stash supplies in our bags to cover the smell. It is always beyond worth it, so simple and so perfect. I could write a love letter to these garlic rolls and how I could and possibly have eaten an entire basket by myself. They even reheat well the next day. Got a side of their freshly made sauce and you could see the whole chunks of tomato. Our server was so kind and didn't judge us at all for only wanting the rolls and the sauce. She even described the two options and offered us more if we wanted. The perfect ending to dinner when you want a little more, but cannot handle an entire plate of pasta. Come here for the bread rolls and you will not be disappointed.

Service was great. Freddy our server very professional and thoughtful. He offered recommendations…read moreon the bolognese that we were grateful for. The ambience was nice, clean and a good date night restaurant. They had roses available for sale for valentine's day. The food looked and smelled amazing. I had an asperol spritzer, bisteka and tiramisu. My boyfriend had the Bud bolognese. He said it was pretty good but it was heavy with onions. My plate had a NY strip steak cooked perfectly med rare , broccoli rabe and fingerling potatoes. The steak had great flavor as for the sides they were ok. They didnt have as much flavor as I had expected. The tiramisu was rich and creamy and the brandy kept me warm on my walk back to the car. I have to say one of the best tiramisu I've ever had. The asperol spritz; this was my first time having one ever, so I have nothing to compare, it was ok. It is supposed to be citrus, rhubarb and prosecco, I expected it to have a sweetness but it had an overpowering bitterness kinda like eating orange rind. Id definitely go back for the tiramisu and a few other things I'd like to try on the menu.

This Resteraunt is in a historic building and you can feel the history as you come in. Unfortunately that's where the good points end. Apart from our waitress who was very nice and cordial the rest of the staff had an arrogance about them and the bartender must not receive a lot of tips as she's cold and unresponsive. The food was mediocre at best the fig pizza was good, the baked artichoke smothered in breadcrumbs and over done. The pasta it self was good but the sauce lackluster and tasteless. The chicken melonazze was dry and rubbery. The chairs at the table were a mish mosh of wood and metal and the Caine chairs were ripping guess that's the colonial vibe.
