We stayed the night at their yurt and heard great reviews for their beef stew so decided to stop by to try it ! I'm usually not a big beef stew person but me and hubby enjoyed it! The cafe was darling and cozy while the staff were cheerful! Sure the price for the entree was a little high but worth a try and I wouldn't mind ordering it again when we come back !

Service - Excellence. Very friendly, attractive server. Ambiance - Rustic setting. The window lookout with white snowy background was amazing. Food: Dorm food quality. Burgundy beef stew was like slow cooked for years. The curried cauliflower with chickpea was decent but why added msg?! Brownie sundae was like made from dried hard, old packaged cracker. Very limited food menu options versus huge wine and cocktail list.

Aspen trees surrounding the restaurant & resort.

What a nice place to eat as the quaking aspen leaves all turn a myriad of Fall colors...! After sightseeing in Hope Valley and up to Kirkwood, we decided to stop in remembering how good their food is. Tonight we split a humus and naan appetizer and each had a delicious 88 burger with side salad. The restaurant service is not super quick, but they're periodically stopping by to check in on things. The roadside restaurant is surrounded by small rental cabins amongst a beautiful grove of aspen trees, which this time of year were bright yellow, green and some tinges of red. Highly recommend the stop in if you're headed on 88 to or from Kirkwood, Tahoe or the Carson Valley.

We down to Sorensen's for lunch today and was super please with out meal. I got their spinach salad and soup of the day, it was a mushroom and barley, and both were delicious. My mom got the pesto chicken sandwich and we split the Käsespätzle which was my favorite thing we ate! They have a seasonal menu that the will be changing soon so come in and get these items before they're gone! The inside of the restaurant is really cute and clean and couldn't be in a prettier location and our server Amy was wonderful. Can't wait to come back and see what new items they have next time!

are you from the bay area? do you also struggle to find edible food in south lake tahoe? does someone telling you to "do stuff", just to potentially get good espresso resonate? then come to dinner here! it's fresh, delicious, and worth every other positive review that's already around for this place. the beats, salmon, fresh crab crostini, cobbler, and wine all excelled, and (i dare say) was better than most highly rated restaurants in san francisco. great service. great ambiance. great food. highly rated!

The interior is dimly lit, calm, and still very inviting--something you really have to experience in person. The drinks and mocktails are so well crafted that it's almost shocking--you take a sip, then look back at the menu like, "Wait... that's all it cost?" and then back at the bartender like, "Hold on... you made this perfectly for me?" We sat at the bar top and, like everyone else, got caught up in our phones trying to post everything in real time. But Amanda, who was making our drinks, could spark a conversation out of thin air. She was a total pro at keeping us engaged and enjoying our time, all while making drinks and taking care of everyone else around us.

The atmosphere itself is on the smaller side, but it fits the cozy, hidden speakeasy vibe perfectly. That being said, the pricing is a bit tough to swallow. I ordered a drink for $22 that tasted good, but overall, the drinks here are just way too expensive for what you get. They also had live music playing during our visit; it was good lounge background music that added a nice vibe to the room, but it wasn't anything spectacular or something to get overly excited about. It's a cool spot to check out for the ambiance, but the high drink prices keep it at a flat three stars for me.

He mentioned they had an outdoor firepit and thought I would like it. When we were deciding on dinner, I said we should finally check it out. We walked in and sat ourselves at a high top. It's a combo of go up to the cash register and order plus a server will come and help you out while they deliver the food. Overall food wise, I thought everything was fine. The dip was cheesy. The peppers a little too salty. The salad fulfilled that green craving tho I found the dressing and cheese a lil too heavy handed. And the soup was the comfort I needed on a cold day. I found the fish to be a little heavier in batter than I prefer, but I like most things very lightly battered. The cocktail I got was nice. Balanced and refreshing. Their sangria was on tap, so they just filled up the glass. I did enjoy going outside after we were done eating to hang out around the firepit. Ran into another party of people and we chatted for a bit. We actually brought our drinks outside to enjoy as It was quite chilly that evening. Food was fine. Cocktails were nice. Definitely would go back for the outdoor firepit. REVIEW #3970

The ambiance is fascinating, there is something new at every corner, its a busy resturant but somehow its not overstimulating. We had Katerina as our waitress, she was awesome! Friendly, bubbly and knowledgeable about the menu. We had the lobster tacos to start and they were amazing, they had just the right amount of zing and the chunks of lobster were generous! For our mains we had the 14oz Ribeye and the greens salad with added prawns. The salad was refreshing and the perfect pair with the Ribeye which was a true mid-rare and the sauce I forgot what it was made the ribeeye that much better! Our waters never were empty and Katerina even reccomended the smores dessert with ice cream and on top had a little "Happy Anniversary " chocolate! Loved Wolf and would definitely reccomend!
