Yes, located in a strip-mall with convenience stores, medical centre, pot shops and a pharmacy looks a little "iffy". In fact, we moved into the neighborhood 8 months before we thought to give them a try! It was like stumbling onto buried treasure! It's a family owned restaurant in business for many years with a very Italian theme and many Italian dishes along with all the common Western favourites. Having only been there twice, both times we received excellent service from friendly staff. Prices are average and the food superb! The pizza we had our first visit far surpassed any of the chain pizza places and the Italian dishes we had on our second were Che buono! It is a very popular place for take-out and although the front door is near the restaurant area it was not distracting, per se. Our only complaint was the door chime. It was an incessant squeal the whole time the door was open- I think a simple quiet "ping" in the kitchen would be better for your restaurant customers. We will most certainly be back!

My husband had the prosciutto and fig pizza that he describes as amazing and the peach mule. Service was good and the food came out really fast. I like that you can see the kitchen and fridges - you can tell they run a tight and clean ship.

The food survived the 11 minute drive home (even the ice cream). The Arancini was delicious - like a deep-fried risotto ball should be. The gnocchi were larger than I expected and therefore hard to eat in 1 bite so I had to try to cut each one before eating. Not the best I have ever had. I got it with the rose sauce which was nice but nothing special. Creamy but not a lot of flavour. The tartufo was promising - like a black forest cake but ice cream style. Too bad it had such a miniscule amount of raspberry. 95% chocolate ice cream; which was good chocolate ice cream for sure but not enough acidic to balance out all the sweet for me.
