    Rib eye $56

Damm!!!! Fantastic restaurant!!!! The most impressive thing is it was super clean inside!!!! Whenever you are going to have a dinner in a restaurant you want nice food and clean environment! Also, Not too loud, just PERFECT!! The waitress was great! Although there was a new person, but she was awesome to handle every requests from customers. Her trainer/coach was fantastic as well! You will never forget about Her smile!! Me and my partner were dating, chose this restaurant to have a dinner, definitely a great choice! Just one thing, it's a little bit too expensive for two people. $180 with tips and gst. Only three dishes. Two drinks. A little bit pricey. And the cheese package was way to salty. Rib eye was the best!!!

Overhyped overpriced fauxitalian food? In Edmonton? Nah... Here's all you need to know. The pizza is undercooked with poor quality ingredients. Crappy ham piled in to the centre like some guy missing half his fingers was in charge of toppings. Of course the damn pizza is soggy! Wet sandwich meat, huge mushy mushrooms... why are you trying to do Neapolitan-style pizza with Pizza Hut toppings? Burnt leftover remnants of other pizza smeared on the bottom of mine - twice cooked carbon, so tasty. Please clean your pizza oven! The appys are cheap quality (think drizzled with sweet, runny store-bought sauce). We only tried the bacon involunti - served cold with poor quality bbq sauce drizzle on it, tasted like diluted Bulls Eye sauce. Gross. $3.50 at happy hour, not even worth that price. The bathrooms - filthy. 2/5 out of service, the one available I walked in to had water(?) splashed all over the toilet, paper towels everywhere, and it looked like someone had recently emptied a bucket in to the sink. Please, fellow Edmontonians, quit supporting these lousy overpriced food service slop houses! Places like this should have died a death 20 years ago, instead of expanding their mediocrity in our market.

I came here for my birthday lunch and it was sooooo great! Got here at 12:45 and the place was empty so we had our choice of seating. It's a casual dining kind of place, perfect for lunch. The staff were super friendly and attentive. Our water and wine glasses were never empty which was nice! We each ordered one pizza and shared appetizer of arancini (which came with 2 balls) and 2 lobster bites. The pizzas were regular sized and were quite large! I couldn't finish it so I had to take 1/2 of it home. They also went above and beyond for my birthday and gave me a choice of dessert for free!! I opted for the mini donuts which come with 3 different flavours and all were delicious (Nutella, strawberry, and salted caramel). They even came out with a candle on them which was super cute and special. Overall I would definitely come back here again. The ambiance is not too loud which could be a perfect spot for a working lunch or lunch meeting even. Thank you for making my birthday extra special!! #ThankYouThurday

We came here recently for their Primavera Wine dinner. Hubs & I really enjoyed the ambiance and vibe of Buco - Windermere (we have yet to dine in at their downtown location). Our service was top notch & the staff were attentive all evening. We did not order from their regular dine in menu, as we were there for the set menu (which was fantastic). The other half of the restaurant was quite busy with regular dine in guests. Overall, a lovely evening. We would come back for sure :)

Website $7 wine on Sunday offer that was refused - due Mother's Day!!?
    Dave M.

Big Boo-Hoo to Buco! We three had a Mother's Day supper at Buco St. Albert. All was good .... except for their failure to honour their web-site-advertised "Sparkling Sunday" offer of a glass of wine for $7.00. Our server seemed unfamiliar with it and queried her manager. The manager told her the offer wasn't available, implying Mother's Day was a factor. Advertising things that aren't available has another name ...."Bait and switch!"

Went to Buco for the first time this week and really loved it. Our waiter was fantastic! Lots of space for distancing. Clean tables. We ordered the small sharing plate to start - meatball, arancini and bacon involtini. All good. The glaze on the involtini was delicious.. scooped it up with my fork. I had the porchetta.. cooked perfectly. The grilled veggies were my favourite though - love roasted peppers and onion. Husband had a small caesar salad to start and the lasagna. Caesar salad was great. Rated the lasagna a 7/10. Our Caesars were fantastic. One of the best I've ever had. Strong tomato flavour and the right amount of spice. Would give Buco 5 stars but the bathrooms were dirty. Toilet paper on the floor, the seat was dirty, etc.

Short rib benny and the world's most addictive potatoes!

Stopped in for brunch and was so glad we did! It wasn't busy at all, so we were seated right away. We ordered the short rib benny and it was SO GOOD. Crispy pizza crust, a mountain of short rib (you're basically given a pot roast for brunch) and then a delicious creamy hollandaise topped off this hearty portion. The side was a pile of baby potatoes that were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside - and they were tossed in a garlic, butter, parmesan concoction that made it ridiculously addictive. Honestly, give me a bowl of just these potatoes and I would be a happy camper. We also ordered the french toast and it was perfect - crispy edges with a fluffy, thick interior. Drizzled in a strawberry sauce and topped with fresh berries and chantilly cream, it was the perfect amount of sweet. Didn't look the prettiest, but it was one of the better french toasts that we've had in a while. So happy we found a new place for brunch - especially one without all the lines!

We live in Windermere and we've been wanting to try out Buco for some time. We finally made a reservation yesterday and it was awesome! Fast service and great value for what you get. We opted for the small appetizer combo where you can pick 3 from a variety of items. Our entree portions were on the larger side too so we were so stuffed and satisfied at the end of our meal. Everything was so delicious and flavorful. It's so nice to have a great restaurant so close to home! Will definitely come back again!

$5 wine on Thursdays.. wine not LOL I got the sangria and it's a MUST TRY. The mixologist really knows what they are doing. It was a mix of citrus flavours and the peach slush made it out of this world. It was almost like a smooth texture like a creamsicle. It was so refreshing! As for the food, this is what I had tonight : ASSAGGINI "little tastes" SMALL CHOOSE THREE 12 - ARANCINI risotto balls, pesto, fontina, aïoli - BEEF SHORT RIB CROQUETTES breaded, gorgonzola, salsa verde - and BUCO'S MEATBALL parmigiano, tomato basil sauce It was a pretty good mix of the balls medley lol not too bad for $12 and good for sharing. CAPRESE tomatoes, fior di latte, olives, basil, spicy sriracha pesto, pistachio, evoo 15.5 This salad was pretty fresh and light. The sauce was different but tasty. We added extra pistachios for that extra crunch PAPPARDELLE wild game ragù, shaved pecorino 22 These noodles were perfect sized and if you're looking for a good ol' Ragu, this is your dish. PORCHETTA slow-roasted alberta pork belly wrapped loin, fennel, coriander, lemon 29.5 Omg this one amazed me, I'm usually wary about pork because you can easily overcook it but this porchetta was made perfectly. The citrus flavour combo was a nice surprise. I would definitely go back to have this dish again. The pork was tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. I love that lemony addition.

What a gem of a place! Visited on a Saturday afternoon for brunch (just before brunch menu ends at 2pm), and spent two hours enjoying delicious food with good company. It's a casual, open concept restaurant. Our server was fantastic, and the food was delicious. I had the short rib eggs benedict, which comes with two poached eggs, a generous portion of delicious short rib meat (hello, protein!) (okay, and fat), served on pizza dough. Accompanied with delicious roasted potatoes, a bowl of melon, and some arugula that could've used even a hint of olive oil. Dessert menu is great, and because we are savages and assumed portions would be typical disappointing dessert sides, the two of us ordered 3 desserts. Totally unnecessary :) I will say, the chocolate mousse, and the doughnuts, were a hit. The nutella calzone I'd pass on.

Amazing! Great Italian wine selection. We came For a late dinner on a Thursday night and had the Cheese and meat board. Hidden behind the Superstore in Windermere there is lots of parking. Restaurant was buzzing, we had reservations but they weren't necessary. Relaxed vibe ... great for family dinner. Lounge looked nice and with large TVs. The food and service was spectacular!! The rib eye was succulent... try it with the salsa verde!

I started the meal with the Don Vito cocktail, a spirit forward sweet concoction of Cognac, Bourbon and Limoncello. Immediately felt like it set the perfect tone for dinner. The tasting menu started with four appetizers, the Arancini, Goat Ricotta Crostini, Insalata Siciliana and the Culatello. My favorite was the arancini as it was packed full of melty cheese with so much flavor. The culatello was a crowd favorite and the crostini was a great palate cleanser. For secondi we had the Truffle Gnudi and Paccheri. For people who like meaty flavors go with the paccheri, but I liked the light cheese and truffle of the gnudi. By the time the Pollo Al Mattone came around, I could only manage a mouthful of the succulent brick chicken and the fresh cabbage salad as I was so full and would need to be rolled out of the restaurant. We ended with the Chocolate Budino, which was dark, creamy and delicious. A great tasting menu at a great price, especially compared to Toronto prices!

Place has "very fancy" feel and would be good for special events/celebration dinners. Free bread to start was fine but not the best I have had. I prefer mine with butter but the oil/vinegar is probably more typical. We tried the: Calamari: 10/10, great texture, loved that we got 2 sauces to dip in. Fettuccine Tavolino (cheese wheel pasta): 10/10. Boyfriend was not too full after. Pasta was cooked perfectly. Nice cheesy creamy flavor. Ravioli Alla Zucca: 9/10, I can't remember if there were 6 or 7 ravioli in the dish. Very pleasing presentation. In my opinion too many sundried tomatoes. I love that it comes with sundried tomatoes as that added some great tang/flavor. Ravioli themselves were perfectly cooked. Brown butter sauce was excellent and wanted more. Creme Brule: 9/10, exactly as expected, definitely enough to share between 2 people. Affogato: vanilla gelato was 11/10 good to me but boyfriend didn't like the flavor. We both agree the espresso was excellent. Very small portion (too small to share!). Free cookies at the end were fine. Overall food was excellent and I'll be back but to try something different on the menu.

The complimentary bread was great, the martini's good although one glass had far more than the other. I ordered the spaghetti bolognese, and although quite different from what we make at home, was excellent! K had the Alfredo flambé which was fired up tableside. It seems to be a popular option as it happened 6 or 7 times while we dined. They also don't soak you for the privilege of the tableside presentation. It was a little cheesy for K, but excellent nonetheless. Our server Eugenia from Hamburg was excellent, she can serve us anytime. She was attentive, and her timing was exceptional! We plan on making a reservation the next time we are in Edmonton. Top notch experience!

Server was nice but never refilled our table water even after we moved it a couple times to be within her view of the table (my friend swears he saw her see us move it to the edge of the table too). Rialto Float cocktail was nice if you like Pisco. Royal Jamaican Ginger beer was good too. Olive Calde - large portion for price. Olives were fine. Calamari - 10/10 delicious, dips were great too. Gnocchi with pancetta - 10/10, surprising filling and even though the Gnocchi were huge chunks they were well cooked. Waitress recommend Campanella Aragosta - 7/10. If you like spicy it's fine but otherwise the flavor is actually very bland. Pasta itself was unique and well cooked. Large portion. Beef Brisket Agnolotti - 7/10, 8 large ravioli filled with brisket. Sauce was good, ravioli were well cooked but brisket inside was pretty underwhelming. Friend who got this dish was ++ hungry still after and said he would order something else next time for the price. Funghi Cipolla - 8/10, it was as expected. Ricotta cheesecake - cheesecake itself was great with the ricotta taste but crust was soooo bad. So overly thick and dry and considering our waitress failed to give us water the entire meal it was impossible to eat (so dry). Date cake - Unfortunately they didn't have gelato as was advertised on the menu to go with the cake so whipped cream was substituted. Was told this only after we ordered and friend asked for the flavors of gelato. Cake had a few uncooked flour lumps. Flavor was fine but not as flavorful/spice-heavy as I hoped. Sprouts on top looked really messy but tasted fine. Overall not a seamless experience as I would have expected from an establishment of this caliber.
