    This place has been on my wishlist since I moved to St. Albert. Easy to find if you use Google Maps. Some hidden parking if you go down side streets but the street parking was full when I went Tuesday at 6PM. Restaurant was 90% full at this time, but apparently that was because a lot of people come here for dinner before a show at the Arden theatre. Place was only 40% full at 7:30PM when we left. Waiter was very friendly, never let our waters go empty and made us feel welcome and not rushed. Wasn't too loud even with everyone in there so was a great space to talk. Decor was pretty simple and nothing really stood out. Nice classy, up-scale feeling place. I got the gnocchi. The pork sausage was excellent - not too spicy but nice to have a protein in the dish. The gnocchi were plentiful, perfectly cooked. The sauce was very delicious and I wish there was 20% more. Overall really tasty! My friend got the Al Tartufo pizza. Was enough for 2 people with smaller appetites. Crust was cooked perfectly. Very tasty and creamy with all the cheese.

    Wanted to celebrate our Anniversary with a dinner out, but Covid changed our plans slightly, but it turned out to be one of the best dinners ever! Ordered from Luisa's for the first time ever dining there and it was a wonderful experience. When I first called to place my order, they asked what time I would be picking up as they only allow one person in at a time. And they completely disinfect everything after each guest leaves (door handles, debit machine, counters, etc). After placing my order, he described the process of entering the restaurant, where to park at the back and the cleaning process, which I appreciated greatly. For our evening out, I ordered a side cesar salad, bread basket, lasagne and the chicken parmesan that they had for the special that evening. We took our meals to Lion's Park and had a lovely picnic instead of bringing the meals home. Our salad was a perfect sharing size and tasted great. The bread for the bread basket was a bit dry, but would have been perfect for bruschetta. So we'll make french toast with it at home. :) My spouse's lasagne must have weighed 5 pounds! The portion was huge and really delicious! The perfect combination of meat, pasta, sauce and cheese! I had the chicken parmesan special, which was a huge chicken breast marinaded over night, topped with italian meats (I don't remember exactly which ones...sorry...), sauce and cheese. It came with a large serving of pasta that had been tossed in butter, garlic and parmesan. I could only eat half of the chicken and pasta because it was so large. But that means leftovers for supper tonight! The owner, Ed, and I had a lovely conversation while I was picking up our meal and he was very nice to deal with. Overall, our dinner was amazing and we can't wait to go back. Either for another pick up, or to dine in! Thank you Luisa's Ristorante staff and owners for a great anniversary supper, Covid style!

    We had a wonderful meal here for a birthday celebration. We were greeted warmly with bday cards on the table (which was so sweet!). Everyone introduced themselves, the menu was thoroughly explained, very attentive and friendly throughout our entire night without being annoying- 10/10 service! The food was excellent, we started with fried mozzarella, warm olives and sausage (made in house), bruschetta, and fried cauliflower. Everything was perfect. The lasagna- excellent, the short rib cannelloni - excellent, veal parmigiana - excellent. No skimping on the meat, quality ingredient, you can tell they take care with their food and it isn't just slapped together. Desserts were great but not exceptional - would skip the tiramisu but the cheesecake trio was very good. Espresso martinis were fantastic. Ambiance is nice - it's a small space, and they have done what they can with it. Seriously, their washrooms are so spotless which is something I rarely see in any restaurant. Please go support this lovely local business!

    Just tried this amazing restaurant. New owners and it still is a family run business. Food is fresh and locally sourced. They will try to accommodate you if they can especially if you have food sensitivities. I mentioned I cannot have wheat, rice or corn pasta and Ed the owner went and got me quinoa... wow!! My photos are not that great as we were digging in before realizing we need to take some pictures.

    Food was great. Owner never stopped moving. Friendly staff. It was cold inside considering it was mid-June. Would go again. Would recommend.

My order was ready when I arrived (20min later). I got the Arancini appetizer, Gnocchi entree, and Tartufo (choc + raspberry ice cream) dessert all for ~$40. The food survived the 11 minute drive home (even the ice cream). The Arancini was delicious - like a deep-fried risotto ball should be. I liked that it came with a touch of tomato sauce which gave it a nice acidic kick. The gnocchi were larger than I expected and therefore hard to eat in 1 bite so I had to try to cut each one before eating. Not the best I have ever had. I got it with the rose sauce which was nice but nothing special. Creamy but not a lot of flavour. The tartufo was promising - like a black forest cake but ice cream style. Too bad it had such a miniscule amount of raspberry. 95% chocolate ice cream; which was good chocolate ice cream for sure but not enough acidic to balance out all the sweet for me. Place and menu look great and promising but unfortunately, I was underwhelmed for the price and can't see myself back anytime soon.

The main floor has more cozy tables signifying a more casual restaurant. The food is anything but casual. Made for sharing, so like your dinner companions, on 2 separate occasions went as a couple and a group of 5. The Siciliano bread w house made ricotta is excellent. The bread is crusty and airy. Soft crumb and the right amount of salt in the crust. We had a prawn appetizer. So delicious and the Prawns Diavolo were of excellent quality. The lamb appetizer provides 5 pieces cooked to perfection w a lovely sauce. The chicken wings Pollo Spiedino were done well and crispy on skewers. The gnocchi di polenta w black truffle was excellent. The polenta makes it a little less cloud like but delicious, nonetheless. The ravioli was so fresh and light - the whole plate disappeared in a flash. The paccheri here is spicy and a favourite. The real star if the Domenica served w ziti as the e noodle in a light ragu. The meat - beef (both brisket and rib) pork meatball and fennel sausage was fall off the bone and browned well. Even for four, it was generous. Desserts we tried were the sorbeto which this month is BC nectarine flavour w a lightly salted cream to cut the sweetness. The chocolate mousse was a layered masterpiece of mousse and cream, powdered w chocolate and chocolate crystals. Really an excellent dessert. It seems to be a popular option as it happened 6 or 7 times while we dined. They also don't soak you for the privilege of the tableside presentation. It was a little cheesy for K, but excellent nonetheless. Our server Eugenia from Hamburg was excellent, she can serve us anytime. She was attentive, and her timing was exceptional! We plan on making a reservation the next time we are in Edmonton. Top notch experience!
