This tiny family-owned drive-through business has been a lifesaver. It sits in the parking lot of Cabo Bob's... but it's been there for decades. The shining star on the menu - for me - is the frozen lemonade. I think they whip in some egg white, which gives it a fluffy consistency, much better than a Slurpee. On a hot day (and when isn't it a hot day in Austin, Texas?) one of these frozen lemonades can make everything right. There are lots of dairy-free, gluten-free and sugar-free options for hot and cold drinks and baked snacks. I straight up love the cinnamon rolls. The service is also a treat! If you're tired of Starbuck's a block away this is a great local drive thru spot for coffee in the North Shoal Creek neighborhood. Every morning they get delivered fresh breakfast tacos, so in an emergency I walk over (I live immediately next door) for a great taco at a much better price than other nearby taco spots! I love this place! Albeit the drive-through is awkwardly placed in the middle of a parking lot, I have been twice and both times craved their iced coffee with the cold foam. I wanted to like this place because of the reviews, but I couldn't stand the taste of the matcha or coffee. I had originally ordered a matcha, it tasted like sugary milk with no matcha taste. I asked them for a coffee instead because it tasted nothing like matcha. The coffee latte was not worth the price, for anyone who drinks artisanal coffees or just decent cups of coffee would probably be disappointed. We pulled off the highway to get some gas and I wanted to grab a coffee. How lucky that Sorrento Coffee was right by the gas station! This place is a super cute local drive thru/walk up with standard drinks and specialty drinks. I ended up getting a medium iced coffee with oat milk and hazelnut / macadamia nut flavoring. The barista was very friendly and kind. They helped me choose flavors I wanted for my coffee and even asked me if the color of the coffee was ok before they handed it over, asking me to taste it to make sure it was what I wanted. I have gotten so many coffees in my life and am NEVER asked if it looks good before I take it. That really was so sweet. Plus, the coffee tastes great! Good service, good food, but to be honest, this is probably one of the worst lattes I've ever had. Having my own experience of being a barista every time I go to this coffee shop I always get expired espresso shots because my coffee is extremely bitter. Also, I am lactose intolerant and they put whole milk in my drink instead of oat. It's disappointing to see that this coffee shop is very hyped up but every time I come, my drink always tastes horrible. read more

New to Austin and we happened to find this gem by chance. They have a pretty big selection of drinks and good snacks with great pricing! they also offer and XL which is my boyfriend's favorite part. Service is great every time they're quick and friendly. I'm never disappointed with my coffee here and am fairly pleased with the coffee prices. I look forward to trying an Italian cream soda at some point in the near future! I drove by at 8 on a Friday and the line was short - to my surprise. Typically the line around this place is pretty long. But I will say, they crank out the coffees pretty fast here. Today was my first time trying a pastry and sadly I was not very pleased with it. Not their fault as they're not the bakers (to my knowledge). I'll still be on the hunt for a tasty treat next time. I came here for the first time a few weeks ago. I was looking for a place that had a good matcha latte. I usually make ceremonial matcha at home and sometimes when I go out the matcha drinks that I try taste very artificial, and I wanted to find a place that matched the quality of the matcha I usually have at home. This place definitely did that! It had a great flavor and consistency, and the service was great. I loved that their tip jar was a bird feeder, and there were all the variations of milk on the menu which is nice for inclusivity because my girlfriend is somewhat lactose intolerant and she was also able to get a drink that she enjoyed! Their natural matcha is also good. I tried it a few days ago, and I liked it just as much as the matcha latte. read more

Honestly love Sorrentos. I am a lover of chai and finding a coffee spot where they take chai seriously is refreshing. Best in town from all I have tried. My only concern is they recently changed kolaches which would be fine but the new ones are quite inferior to the old ones. The bread is gummy and bland. The jalapeno and cheese used to be in the sausage and now it's a normal sausage with jalapeno and cheese thrown in on top of the sausage. Overall less quality than the previous kolaches. I come here all the time and while I will still come for coffee and chai. I probably won't be getting kolaches anymore. read more

It'd be nice to be able to preorder your coffee to skip the line but unless you have a Favor account, you're screwed. The service was really good and I like the vibes. The tip jar is a hummingbird feeder and I thought that was cute. I got a macadamia nut latte and my girlfriend got a matcha latte with cold foam. The latter was slightly too sweet for my tastes but the flavor of the coffee was strong but not acidic. I wish that the matcha had a little more matcha flavor. It's amazing I haven't gone here sooner given that this is about 1 mile from my house. I went through the drive-through and was greeted by a very friendly barista. I ordered an oatmilk mocha because it's really cold outside. It is one of the best mochas I've had. The perfect temperature and the perfect amount of chocolate. They also sell other items, including Russell's baked goods. The service was friendly and fast. They also have a walk up window which I'll use in the future. First time trying this place. I appreciate the convenience of the drive through which makes them pretty speedy. I'd say the coffee is 3/5 star quality just because you can't really taste the coffee and I am always fond of a noticeable bean taste. Perhaps it is just because mine had a lot of milk in it. The almond biscotti was good, probably store bought though so nothing special. The coffee here is more affordable than other coffee places. read more

Wanted to check out this coffee shop so stopped by today late morning, walked in to window, there weren't anyone at the window n just 1 or 2 cars at the drive thru. Ladies at the window was good and service is 5stars. I got tempted by seeing so many syrup flavors, so I got small latte with sugar free Irish cream flavor, oh god! First sip I took, it was like as if i dumped a pack of Splenda in to my mouth, it's sweeter than a dessert and other then sweet I was not able to get any other taste, literally it was drinking like sugar syrup so I got a shot of espresso and mixed it up, but still it couldn't cut down the sweet and it had a after taste, sort of burnt/over extracted, dunno, but it wasn't good, something was wrong with their espresso or atleast I dint like it, it tasted wiered and I couldn't drink. I don't think they make any syrup at the house, when I was waiting for my order could see torani syrups. My husband got coffee, which he liked it, I took a sip and it was good, 4star for coffee, I can't give any star for latte as I couldn't taste any thing other than sweetness. Asked for blueberry scones but they were out so dint try any baked goods. Maybe next time will stick with only coffee. FYI: So if you don't like too much sweet, ask the staff before picking a syrup about the sweetness. read more
