Kyoko Coffee has become a weekly essential for me. The lattes are great and Patrick, the guy who runs the place, is so fun and energetic. Their menu is straightforward and the drinks don't run too sweet, which is just how I like it. My favorites so far are the miso piloncillo, ube latte, and Tokyo banana latte. This was such a cool experience! If you have ever been to Japan and ordered out of one these pop up kitchen cars, this is very much like it. And the set up is so cool. The guy who helped me out was super nice and we talked about our experiences in Japan while awaiting my ube latte. 10/10 coffee. Can't wait to try another type of drink they offer. In my visit to Austin, this is the only coffee place I wanted to go to twice in the week. Everything is tastefully sweet. You know it's there but the sugar doesn't need to announce itself. The two drinks I liked: Miso piloncillo latte - it is indeed umami & what salted caramel wishes it was. Delightful when hot. Tokyo Banana - sometimes, cafes do banana drinks and they taste nothing like banana and instead just give the faintest hint of fruit and overpowered by sugar. The Tokyo Banana has the right texture (not mush, not chunky) and level of sweetness and creaminess you want. The black sesame cake was really good too! Okay, this review is long overdue. I've been to Kyoko a few times already but each experience has been spectacular. We've never been let down from the first visit to the most recent one. The van is so cute, and they've recently added a table and chairs to sit down and enjoy your brew before you go. It's in a well placed area too near the highland ACC and minutes away from The Crescent shopping center which is filled with shops and foods. We've tried so many different drinks here so it's really hard to narrow them all down and all have been 5/5. Easily one of the best coffee spots in town. From their Kyoko dreams of ube latte, to their pour overs, you will not have a single terrible item. Everything is made with love and your patience is worth it. You may want to order a couple of different drinks to try because it's hard to set your sights on just one. They use Onyx coffee beans, which IMO, are one of the highest quality roasters in the entire North America. Service is always amazing here so please be sure to tip. They work quick to get your drink in your hand while executing on providing you with the best quality drink you'll ever have. read more

Austin's Cutest Coffee! They aren't kidding. This truck and its concept are adorbs! Located at 6401 Airport Blvd in the Highland Collective lot, I stumbled upon it one day when I was taking a work walk break. What a gem it is too! I love the vibe, the friendliness, all of it. Of course what I love the most is the coffee. Unami Mocha and Ube Coffee (it's purple!!!) are the absolute best. I gotta try the Miso Piloncillo Umai soon. This coffee and matcha truck was such a pleasant surprise! The mango matcha was seasonal, and was so delicious. Not too sweet, and perfect level of tart - it actually felt like real mango. The mouthfeel did feel more like a smoothie though, as it was pretty thick. I also tried the banana latte and it was delicious too! Some of the best matcha in Austin. The menu itself has only a couple of drinks but the creativity of those drinks will pique your interest. I ordered the Miso Piloncillo and I loved it! The miso stands out and gives you an addicting unique sweet and umami taste. The Tokyo Banana is truly amazing! Kyoko Coffee is a coffee truck stationed near the airport. Touted as "Austin's cutest coffee," their coffees are Japanese inspired and they have cute decor. I tried the Tokyo Banana and Ohayo Tokyo (Yuzu espresso tonic). The Tokyo Banana is now my favorite latte, as the banana flavors were strong but not too sweet. The yuzu espresso was also unique in that it gave the drink a fruity sourness without being overpowering. It's a small stand with such interesting flavors inspired by Japan such as the Tokyo Banana coffee--a must for any banana lovers or recent Japan visitor experiencing nostalgia. Just like its name, this place was so so so cute!! I love the food truck vibes and love that it was next to dukk dukk mochi donuts, very convenient. The coffee was excellent. You can tell the owner really cared about his customers and their feedback. He was so passionate about explaining the different flavors. I tried both the miso piloncillo Umai and the Thai inspired latte (cause of death) and actually enjoyed both! The Miso had a bit of a sweet and salty flavor profile while the Thai was light and sweet. Definitely want to come back to try their Matcha and Ube. read more

Located near Highland Collective, this coffee shop is truly the most adorable little coffee truck. The owners (white guy/Japanese woman sorry didn't grab their names) who runs this truck are so sweet and so kind. They have an outside play area with a playscape for kids with picnic tables that are shared with two other food trailers and it's nice they also have some tables next to their space as well. It's also shaded which is nice and they have electric fans that are running all over. Parking is easy and free as you can park in Highland Collective parking lot which is right next door. To find the truck it's off Airport Blvd and you will see it behind a grey chain linked fence. Drink wise I got their seasonal drink which was mango matcha drink with oatmilk was absolutely delicious - the mango was fresh and the matcha was greatly, not too chalky and great flavor. The barista had made a little too much matcha and gave me the extra matcha which was sweet. My husband got the Miso Piloncillo and liked it as well. I appreciate the drink isn't too sweet at all. For their hours as of 6/16/25 Yelp is incorrect. It is Wednesday - Friday 9 AM - 3 PM and Saturday/Sunday 8 AM - 3 PM (subject to change) but that's what they told me. We went on a Sunday and it was great! Highly recommend and can't wait to go back to try their banana drink! read more
