Being a DIY sort of guy, I do my own stuff, but I felt sort of lazy that day. I figured it'd be an option if I walked off with anything. I browsed the section to find a great selection: Entry - mid - and high end products. I was even surprised to even see that they carried Focal! In other words, there was no grey market and that I would have my full warranty, backed by manufacturer. Would I go back? Yes Would I recommend a friend? Hell YES Would I recommend it to Yelpers? I updated my review after the owner sent me a message assuming that my picture was old, and that other customers had already loaded it prior. That is just silly and it makes you look bad sir. Review: When I first entered no one was attentive, I had to ask for help and when I finally got a hold of someone he had me waiting for 20 min after he said 5 min. I was very disappointed by this time, so I asked again and got a well-experienced dude who knew his stuff. I got a good price and good speakers for my 2012 Dodge Challenger R/T. The only bad experience I had was the installation, I recommend you install them yourself or go elsewhere. The guy who installed my speakers must be good at taking things apart, but not putting things back together because I had 7 left over screws that were not put back, and when I asked him he said they are extras that he has in his pockets. Could they be from other cars, and how would they crawl out of jeans? I had to take shit apart in my car and put those screws back in, and when I did I found another one. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because some of the guys here deserve 5 stars (I'd give them 6 stars if I can) but the others deserve 1 star at best! U gotta watch out for who u deal with here. Only deal with the owner (I believe his the owner at least) & the manager (I think his name is sal or Saul? Well his the heavy set guy) they will look out for u & give u a great price! The manager gave me a price of $100 for a set of speakers but the next day when another guy was helping me he tried to tell me the same set of speakers from the day before were $145!!! Luckily the manager was there so I got at him & he lowered the price back to $100. I also bought another set of different size speakers & the guy tells me $175! I knew he was lying so I got at the manager again & sure enough the manager tells me it's $150!! If I didn't know better I would've paid $70 more for those 2 pairs of speakers so I highly suggest to ONLY DEAL WITH THE MANAGER OR THE OWNER! The rest of those guys r crooks & they WILL try to get over on u!!! The owner there went out of his way to help me. I bought a set of speakers from them a year back but one of those speakers blew out on me. I went back thinking I had to buy another set & as I was explaining this to one of the workers the owner over heard me & told me he remembers me & that he will replace those blown speakers & have it installed for me for free!!! SOS Electronics was a great experience overall. I was looking for a new radio system for an older car (2001 Infiniti) and Oscar was a great help. A little bit of a rough area, and no seating area to wait while they work on the car, but they did have a security guard and the employees were very friendly! Oscar helped me pick out a radio and then installed it in 45 minutes for a very fair price. Everything works great so far and Oscar and his team were super helpful! Then this place is for u. I bought a 3305v viper alarm and they charged me 272.00 they installed it. The alarm cost $130 then they said $90 for installation. $220 is what I should have paid. OH WAIT!!!! But they don't charge for installation atleast that's what they say. So I really should have paid $130 for everything. poor quality equipment and bad customer service. refusal to fix their mistakes. poorly done incomplete installation. extremely loud high pitched frequency sound at all times when the system is on. when i hit the gas pedal it gets louder and louder and gives you a headache. they told me "its normal." their equipment is previously used, damaged, old, and overpriced. I bought some infiniti kappa speakers and an amp for my car, and also wanted to put subs in, so i went here. after speaking with the staff i bought 2 subs and an amp. Rockford Fosgate P3D4-12 and a Hifonics Zeus 2400 watt amp (recommended by the staff). they installed all my speakers. 6.5 components and 6x9 three ways, plus the subs and 2 amps. the installation job they did on my internal speakers was absolute garbage. they didn't even mount my tweeters. they left the tweeters hanging from the exposed metal on my car door. they said its too much work to mount them and never offered to fix the problem, they just told me they cant do anything with them even though they would have fit where the stock tweeters went. the subs sound like garbage. no quality of sound or range in any song. it just makes booming sounds and distorts the rest vocals and treble. the tweeters cant be heard because they aren't even mounted in a location that will suit their purpose. you can barely hear a clear voice from the internal speakers when sitting in the front seats. the amp they sold me blew after a few months of use, and i didn't even have the subs turned up half way most of the time. when i went back to ask them to inspect the system they wanted to charge me to figure out why the amp blew and said they will charge me for new equipment anyways, plus installation cost. i took out the subs and amp they installed and found that the amp they sold me was used and damaged to begin with. the screws were worn out, the warranty stickers on the bottom had been cut, and it smelled really bad. after a bit of investigation i found that the amp they sold me for the subs weren't even sufficient to power the subs. they just sold me whatever to get a sale. i paid close to $800 at this place for my system and it sounds like trash. they refused to fix it, and they even gave me an attitude when i went back to get the problem checked out. read more

The only thing bad with the place is that weekend get real busy . And have a two hour wait to get anything installed. This place is amazing. I've been a customer for about 5 years now. My family and I have bought stuff from some great HID lights and just 2 days ago bought a whole new system for my Yaris. Someone up here said they're "shady"? Hell no! This place is legit. All items are legit. If this place was "shady" I wouldn't have spent 2 grand on pure JL audio speakers. I bought a 12 W6, 6.5" C5, I forgot what my rears are but hey are JL, and two top of the line JL amps. If you are into systems at all you know a JL 12W6 is the real deal and that whole setup could be way more than 2 grand not even including the installation. I had a problem with a setup they did for my dad's Eclipse and they fixed everything right away. If they were "shady" I'm pretty sure they would have had sold me without telling me that Boston Acoustics is done and had no warranty. I'm the kind of guy that if I'm going to spend 2,000 on a system I am going to get legit stuff. Their guys that do the install may not be "Certified" but I would trust them with anything. Certifications don't mean anything to me because it's just like computers with their stupid A+ cert that I don't even have but have outsmarted some certified "Geeks" at Best Buy. But anyways, these guys have a passion for stuff like this and that's why they have done installs on Lamborghinis and Bentleys. And yes I have seen both cars there. One was a nice Lambo Murcielago and the Bentley was new off the lot and didn't even have plates. This place is great and I will not be going anywhere else for my systems. If you want the full warranty and all legit items but not pay anything close to Retail price, you need to come here. read more

Although I'm a new customer of SOS, I made a big purchase for a new JVC system, car alarm, and killswitch for my 2000 Prelude back in November. Recently I had problems with my alarm keypad that went out, I called & talked to Gary explaining the problem & brought in my receipt & they replaced it within an hour and a half. I highly recommend saving every receipt just in case you have problems with your purchase as I did. I give SOS 5 stars because they have amazing customer service, they stand behind their products & I plan on shopping here in the future. I bought a Kenwood car radio and am happy with my purchase. The staff helped me right away. The prices aren't written on the boxes, and so I checked the price I was quoted on Amazon. The Amazon price was a few dollars cheaper, and the manager matched the price. The radio turned out to have Bluetooth hands-free phone support, so there was a good reason why the price was higher than I expected. I did my own installation, as I said their separately quoted install price was higher than I expected; they suggested that I do it myself, as it would be easy, replacing the existing Kenwood with a Kenwood (and with the help of YouTube, they were right!). Sales person "Frank" was SUPER helpful! I'm new to stereo install but have a technical background. Frank patiently answered all of my questions. Frank also gave me great prices on 2 stereos and installation for both! Smooth sale! I went in thinking I wanted a system for my car, at first the experience was cool when I talked to a sales rep named Raul. Then I started to ask questions about different systems and he made a remark saying como chingas meaning you fucken bug, not knowing I know Spanish. That was the rudest thing I've ever experienced with a sales representative that looks like he hates his job. He looked mad to even get up and show me products. Because of what he said I told him that he was rude and that he should never treat or say something like that to a customer. all he could say was Neta. How professional! I ended up walking out and looked up another place on yelp and I found a family oriented place a little further out but still a good drive called Uneek Car Alarms and Stereos!
