    #21 spicy chicken
    Aminah K.

You are better off going to a chain sandwich shop. The toppings don't taste that fresh and don't go well together. I tried the #21 spicy chicken. There was no spice at all and just had hot sauce all over it. It just did not mix well with all the other sauces and toppings. The bread gets too soggy real quick.

Edit: per my prior review, I wanted to try the cheesesteak next. Well, i tried the cheesesteak, and it is delicious! The beef they use is excellent quality and great flavor. My only complaint continues to be that the bread they use is too thin after the panini press because it is so soft. They just need a crusty bread for perfection.

    1. The Super Sub 8inch

Great subs at a cheap price. I've gotten the 8inch and the 16 and I'm happy to inform that you get your money's worth. The super sub is amazing but I will eventually need to venture out and try a different type of sub. They also deliver via grub hub which is convenient.

Sottini's delivers giant subs at reasonable prices. It's a huge bang for your buck. However, flavor-wise they're just OK. It's a step above the sub chains but only slightly. If you're looking for a lot of food for a few bucks, this is your place. Otherwise I'd look elsewhere.

    Turkey & Swiss

I got a generously sized sub for a great price, however I thought the sandwich was just okay. I got the turkey and Swiss add mayo and jalapeños toasted. The bread itself was very good, it was crispy and warm however everything else inside of the sandwich was not warm at all. All I really tasted in my sandwich was the turkey, and sometimes the jalapeños when I would take a bite of them. They have hot and cold sandwiches there, where you can get the hot ones grilled, but they did not have any turkey sandwiches that went on the grill. Next time I would definitely try a hot one instead!

Fab 4 : spicy mustard chicken sub (halal)

A hidden Ann Arbor gem for sure. Came here for late lunch for the first time after running into the place while walking on S.Fourth. I've been searching for a nice Sub in Ann Arbor for the longest time. I am not a big fan of the typical subway or Jimmy Johns sandwiches so I'm super glad I randomly ran into this place. Decided to go in and give it a try. Very friendly worker / cashier upfront. She was super helpful and kind. I personally got the fab 4 (spicy mustard chicken sub) with jalapeños. The bread was toasted and the chicken was grilled nicely with the cheese. It tasted like a good fulfilling sub at a reasonable price. Definitely will come back for lunch here again.

    16-inch super sub

This place makes a great, simple sandwich at a reasonable price. The core essentials are there. Meat? Sliced-to-order, tastes fresh. Bread? Just hard enough and also plenty of resistance to sogginess. Veggies? Nothing special - the usual lettuce/onion/tomato. Sauce? A traditional oil/vinegar/oregano combo which also happens to be my favorite. The interior and decor isn't anything impressive (definitely a hole-in-the-wall feel), and walking in, you feel like it's been in Ann Arbor for 30 years (I don't actually have any idea how old this place is). Nothing much to complain about, and definitely worth stopping by for a quick lunch bite.

Awesome food! Heck yeah. There's no bathroom which stinks, but other than that this place is epic! Eat here

The grilled cheese with sausage (pistachio inside) was creamy and innovative. Masala chai with a black jam and pistachio was my morning's order. The space is bright, fresh. clean. Multiple families munched away and played the little wooden games available for guests. Plenty of seating upstairs too. The manager checked in with us for a quick, pleasant exchange.

This is a review for the White Lotus cafe on Zeeb road (not the farms on Liberty)…read more This place is now my go-to for West Side hang-out. Anytime I have a family member visit me we go here. (I'm thinking of holding my office hours here in the fall, IN PERSON, over real coffee! this coffee is yummmmmmmy) From the moment I walk in the door I am greeted with friendly, knowledgeable staff. Who all know me by my first name! (and I have a difficult Spanish name). They greet me with a smile, never rush me, and take my order all the while answering any questions I might have. Since their menu is always evolving and changing, it's great that they take the time to walk through my options. So they have their standard amazing pizzas (which i first had at the farm) and their shockingly authentic pastries (even better croissants than I have had in Paris). But last week I tried their new breakfast food, and MAN! It was GOOD! the quiche, the omelet....and although I am convinced their chai is the best in Ann Arbor (it's not a premade mix of sugar and chemicals, it's the real deal) ...they now have this new line of matcha, so so good. Sarah and Kat make baristas run for cover, they are that good. And even with all that goodness, I was SHOCKED out of my mind when I had their eggplant sandwich. That thing is fire. FIRE. My family and I are big meat eaters, so when this one hit the scene, we couldn't believe how tasty it was. Even writing this review right now makes me want to go there and eat one. (I'll still keep trying their amazing ever-new menu, but this eggplant sandwich has become a standard) Also, there is this very cute small little market attached where I stop by at the end of the day to pick up freshly made bread for dinner. We love the sesame bread, but geez louise, the baguettes are addictive. Their head baker is INSANELY talented. Remember that scene in Ratatouille when the food critic gets transported to a core memory? That happens to me when I eat that bread. I have purchased goat milk soap there (its handmade by the baker's wife), hot chocolate mix, a kabocha squash, this no sugar added mango puree (which I made a no-sugar added mango torte with). They have these really cool unique products, and it really is a treat to stop by. The place is beautiful, and it is a gem to have such a high quality place to eat on this side of town. The passion that these people have comes through in their food, the products they sell, and the way they treat their community. I love Ann Arbor, and I love this cafe. (okay now i really am going to go and get that eggplant sandwich)
