Came here during restaurant week. The food and service were phenomenal. They even have complimentary valet parking. It was a smaller dining area, so I'm sure it fills up quick in the evenings. I recommend getting the gnocchi or the short rib ravioli. The bread was also great.

It has been over 11 years since my last review, and Sotto Spora still hits the spot. Never misses. They always run a really nice special around tax season in which you can get $15 select pastas and $7 select wines and cocktails. So I decided to stop in for a nice dinner and wine. The place was pretty much packed, but I was able to get a table since it was just me. Dinner was pretty simple for me, I love their spaghetti bolognaise and my fave Montepulciano wine. For an appetizer I love the beef carpaccio( that was not apart of the special). And it is also their 30th anniversary so they have some really nice specials going on. If your in the Mount Vernon section, make sure you stop in you will not be dissapointed SYOY

Sotto Sopra has been my favorite Baltimore restaurant for a few years now, and anytime I come back - they prove why. First off, the ambience is fantastic. The waiters are friendly, the smell of the restaurant is phenomenal, and it's a lovely, intimate space. The food - believe it or not - is really the star of the show. They have plenty of GF options, and right now they are running their 30th anniversary special. $65 pre-fixe menu with a few items offered that have a slight upcharge. Either way, it's a fantastic deal. My boyfriend and I came here for our anniversary (our first date was here two years ago) & both did the pre-fixe. I got the seasonal octopus salad, the duck leg, & the seasonal banana brûlée. All of it was incredible. Obviously, if you want pasta - they have plenty of great options to choose from & everything is just so fresh. For the price (even without the 30th anniversary pre-fixe!), ambience, and QUALITY - you seriously can't beat Sotto Sopra. My boyfriend and I love to try different "finer dining" around the city - and all roads lead us back to here.

There is nothing quite like feeling special. Mark took me to one of my favorite restaurants in Baltimore tonight to celebrate my birthday, which is Monday. Imagine my surprise when we arrived at the door, I was immediately greeted by Riccardo, the Chef-Owner, who called me by name, wished me a happy birthday, introduced himself to Mark and escorted us to our table. Riccardo then promptly delivered two glasses of Prosecco and stood to chat with us for a while. It made me feel so very special and welcomed! You do not come to Sotto Sopra Restaurant for dinner; you come for an experience. And from the second we arrived, every moment was filled with pleasure to our senses. Food, drink, music, atmosphere, kindness, attentiveness, warmth and ambiance -- all perfection. I so admire Riccardo for his life philosophy and business acumen. He puts his entire heart and soul into his restaurant and it shows. He knows that success lies in how you treat people and that same spirit was embodied by all of the staff. They are celebrating their 30th anniversary this year; that doesn't happen by accident or luck. This was a birthday dinner I'll not soon forget. Thank you, Mark. Thank you, Riccardo.

Sotto Sopra has been on my list to try for a while now and I'm SO happy I finally did. I decided to dine here for restaurant week and am already so excited to go back. The service was great and the restaurant is quaint, dark, yet lively and welcoming. The Sotto Sopra flatbread with prosciutto and truffle oil was the perfect way to start my meal. Crispy yet chewy, with the best salty yet sweet taste. My short rib ravioli was amazing, especially with the mushrooms. The gnocchi bolognese was full of flavor and melted in your mouth. My glass of Cabernet was full and the perfect accompaniment to my pasta. For dessert, the strawberry cheesecake was the real winner but we were scraping the pistachio crème brûlée clean, as well. It was the perfect meal. Unfortunately, the complimentary valet was not available on this night, however, there was a parking garage just around the corner.

We had a nice experience overall. The complimentary valet parking was a great touch and made arrival easy. Inside, the restaurant has a very romantic, dimly lit atmosphere, though the tables are quite close together and it does get pretty loud as the night goes on. The focaccia was fantastic and a definite highlight. The gnocchi bolognese was just okay--the bolognese felt a bit heavy when paired with the gnocchi and didn't quite shine. Dessert, however, was excellent. The pistachio tiramisu was light, well-balanced, and a great way to end the meal. A solid spot with a lovely ambiance and some standout elements, especially the bread and dessert.

We raved about the great time we had at Sotto Sopra and their Summer Camp offering of Tuesday with Morrie to our friends, so they wanted to go with us to experience what we had enjoyed. We made a reservation for the 4 of us for Tuesday. They had our table ready and waiting for us when we arrived. Lindsey, our server, was terrific. She was friendly and so welcoming. She met and exceeded our every need. We started with their enormous Charcuterie Board, which was loaded with all kinds of Italian goodies. The Tuesday with Morrie offering is a bowl of pasta with a glass of wine for $30.00. Our friends had the Carbonara Alla Sotto Sopra (a delectable dish of spaghetti, egg, smoked applewood bacon, cream and parmesan), and Ravioli Dell'Amore (a delicate dish of spinach & ricotta ravioli with fresh tomato sauce and parmesan). My husband had the Fettuccine Bolognese (a hearty dish of homemade fettuccine with a meaty homemade Bolognese sauce topped with parmesan. I thoroughly enjoyed the Gnocchi Alla Caprese. The homemade ricotta gnocchi were delicate pillows topped with fresh tomato sauce and burrata. It was beyond delicious. Thank you for another terrific meal and evening!

Throughly enjoyed our visit to Soto Sopra and would recommend if you're in the area. There is free valet parking as well as street parking in the area, but it can be a bit tough so definitely take advantage of the free valet. To share (4 of us) we got a bottle of wine, calamari, and antipasto misto. Both apps were good but the calamari was my preference. For my main I got the Pappardelle Fra Diavolo which had a generous amount of shrimp. Great flavor and fresh pasta. For dessert we shared the pistachio tiramisu which was delicious. Service was friendly and attentive. Our server was knowledgeable and shared menu recommendations based on our preferences. The ambiance was reminiscent of an old school Italian spot. 5/5 dinner experience! Recommend making a reservation as they get busy.

Listen! If you're ever looking for a romantic, intentional, dimly lit vibe, Sotto Sopra IS thee place to be. When I tell you everything was exceptional, I mean everything. From the moment I walked through the door, I was greeted by everyone, offered water refills without even asking, and guided through the menu so kindly. It was genuinely so sweet. This is one of the few restaurants I would gatekeep... but I can't hold out. If you haven't been, make a reservation ASAP. Enjoy!!

I decided to come here a few times with two of my girlfriends because they were running the restaurant week specials. This made it easy to come. Try out Sotto because we've never been to it before. So let's start with the atmosphere and the restaurant floor. It's very cozy, very inviting and the candles that they have that are real candles. Create this air of just ease and relaxation. There isn't a set dress code, but it's very clear when you go in that you should be at least business casual and that goes with the vibe of the restaurant. We tried out various different dishes that were on restaurant week, including the calamari, the gnocchi and pretty much everything we could because three courses for $45 is an amazing deal. The rosé is probably my favorite wine that they have there and the cocktails are very good including the espresso martinis. My first date got the gnocchi and they don't usually like gnocchi but it was amazing and very tasty. Very light different than sometimes regular gnocchi that's very heavy. The calamari was delicious and I enjoyed the lemon slices that they had in there that they also fried. We need to go back so that we can try out the different desserts and maybe just go in and try out some of the different options that they have at Sotto. The tables were clean and if we dropped any forks we got new ones immediately. The service was quick and fast but we did not feel rushed in any way shape or form. The focaccia that they provide with the little bread basket when you first sit is amazing and goes very well with wine or drinks. I also enjoy that they have options for you to choose out their event experiences with operas, so we plan to check that out one time. For those that don't drink, they also have mocktails. Their mocktails are quite tasty, very refreshing, nothing too heavy. You can get different options of wine, champagne, dessert, drinks while you're there. The tiramisu was great and I did enjoy the cheesecake.

The inside is beautiful. High ceilings with large paintings and mirrors. The service provided by everyone here was wonderful. We ordered a bottle of Pinot Grigio to start. They brought out complimentary focaccia bread with an olive oil and balsamic dip that was quite good. It was Baltimore Restaurant Week recently and Sotto Sopra had extended their 3 course menu which we ordered off of. Between us, we shared the Watermelon Salad and Maryland Style Mussels for appetizers, Pan-Seared Atlantic King Salmon and Short Rib Risotto entrees, and Crème Brûlée and Almond Cake for dessert. Everything was delicious. The watermelon was fresh and the feta cheese and crumbled pistachio paired great with it. I loved the coconut broth from the mussels. The citrus and lobster infused mashed potatoes with the salmon was divine. The short rib with risotto was seasoned well and quite filling. Both the desserts were delicious as well. No complaints on anything. It was all so good! Cannot wait to dine here again.

This was a phenomenal dining experience. The only negative part of the experience was that the dining room was too dark - it was hard to read the menu. Other than that, everything was exquisite. The service was attentive but not overbearing, the decor and vibe were intimate, and the food was so good we could not pick a favorite dish. We ate: Feta & Watermelon Salad - This was elevated with crushed pistachios, honey, and super salty feta. Caprese - Made with perfectly ripe heirloom tomatoes, burrata, and shaved fennel for a little surprise crunch. It is a classic, and was executed perfectly. Lamb Chops - These were truly outstanding. They had a salty, herbed crust and were cooked perfectly to our preferred temperature. The lobster mashed potatoes were also very unexpected. Bolognese - This was a very chunky, hearty, savory sauce, where you could still taste a bit of the red wine. The pappardelle was cooked perfectly. Cappuccino - literally the best one I've ver had. We came here for restaurant week and the dining experience was significantly better than expected. I can't wait to go back.

Place looks great and has great ambience. We loved the watermelon salad and we ordered Non alcoholic drinks which tasted great. We ordered Penne Pasta for our son and Ravioli for ourselves and everything was delicious. Must go place.

Our server, who was also the only bartender, did his best to multi task all night, although his demeanor was not very warm or friendly. I ordered the gluten free version of the Samantha fettuccine. Despite this being the only noodle they don't make in house, I had to pay extra for it. Annoying, but not totally unexpected. What was disappointing was the total price for the dish. It came out to be almost $50.... I believe the pasta is marked as market price due to the inclusion of crab meat but when it arrived, there was barely any in the dish. The flavor of the sauce was good but definitely not worth the price tag. I won't be returning anytime soon.

They did say I could have a seat at the bar while I wait but I opted to wait outside. When my friend arrived we were seated promptly. The restaurant itself is super cute and a cozy, intimate atmosphere. It's dimly lit with beautiful little touches throughout, including "ciao" displayed across the ceiling and a really nice sign in the foyer which makes for a great photo op. For the food we decided to share crispy Brussel sprouts and shrimp bruschetta as an appetizer. Then for my main entree I got Pappardelle Genovese which was pappardelle pasta, caramelized onion- braised beef ragú, Gorgonzola cream drizzle, Parmigiano Reggiano and then I got creme brûlée for dessert. For my drink I went with a Shirley temple. The food was super delish. I especially enjoyed the shrimp bruschetta and my pasta dish. They were not stingy with the meat at all. The server added sparklers to our dessert which was a nice touch and wished us a happy birthday. However, because we orders two desserts he informed us that he could only comp one of them as a bday dessert. We weren't expecting either to be comped so that was nice. I think the pricing was decent, two non alcoholic drinks, three appetizers, two entrees and a dessert for $130 (as of 2026). Something worth mentioning is that sending a dish back may not result in the food being comped. My friend had also ordered the polenta al funghi but didn't like the aftertaste. She told the server who said he would get the manager. The manager said the dishes are made to order and the owners don't want food being comped (I'm summarizing). Mind you no one said anything about taking it off the check. It wasn't a big deal but interesting that no resolution was offered . Like she could've suggested to replace with something else. She basically just said she's not taking it off the check and that's it. Didn't ruin the experience for me but worth mentioning in case you're the type to send things back to the kitchen. Overall, good experience and I would return.

It's one of the most beautiful spots in Little Italy, which is saying something. They use a lot of mirrors, which makes the space feel enormous, and based on ambiance alone, it would make a fantastic date spot. I ordered a flight of bruschetta, the meatballs, a tagliere of meats and cheeses, and the Culurgiones, an herb-forward stuffed pasta. The bruschettas tasted good, but they were soggy. It felt like either the bread hadn't been toasted enough or they had sat assembled for too long. Bruschetta should have some crunch and structure; these didn't. The tagliere was fine, but a little boring. More disappointing, the meats had that industrial, processed taste I associate with inexpensive domestic deli meats from the grocery store. Nothing was particularly bad, but nothing on the board made me want another bite, either. The meatballs were okay, and I'd probably order them again, but I've had much better elsewhere in Little Italy. Up to that point, the meal had mostly been a collection of "fine." Where La Tavola really lost me, though, was the Culurgiones. These are supposed to be stuffed with a potato mixture rife with saffron, pennyroyal, and other herbs. What I got tasted like pasta stuffed with mashed potatoes from a box. They were incredibly bland. Every so often I'd catch a hint of mint, but if there was saffron in there, I'd be shocked, especially since the filling remained almost completely pale, and saffron generally isn't shy about announcing itself with some colour. I ate one or two and called it quits. Biting into pasta and getting a mouthful of dry instant-potato flavour just wasn't my vibe. Maybe I ordered wrong, and there may be dishes here that shine. The room certainly does. But based on what I had, this one just didn't hit for me.

7/4/26 Tre Fratelli - Wayne & Becky…read more Tre Fratelli offers their customers Summer Specials on Tuesdays (Chicken Night $23), Wednesdays (Seafood Selection $25) and Thursdays (Italian Classics $23) in the summer for dine-in customers. We were thrilled with the offerings on the Tuesday Specials, which was Chicken night. The Specials include a Side Salad (either a House or Caesar), an entrée, and a dessert of Oreo Cake, Coconut Cake, or a Mini Cannoli. You do not want to miss this great summer special. Remember, you can always BYOB. We were thrilled with their offerings. We all started off with Caesar Salads, which were very fresh and crisp with just the right amount of dressing. My husband and I had the Chicken Francese over penne pasta. Our friends had the Chicken Parmesan and the Chicken Marsala also over penne pasta. The portions were very generous. All of our meals were freshly prepared and beyond delicious. Christian, our server, took excellent care of us. We were very satisfied, so we took our desserts home to enjoy later. We all had a delightful evening at Tre Fratelli.

Also ordered a Caesar salad which unfortunately did not come (again, the delivery had other issues so I don't think it was the fault of the restaurant). My bf loved the cheese ravioli. He thought the filling was tasty and enjoyed the sauce. Their red sauce is a more chunky sauce with onions which I did not taste because I'm not a fan, but he would get it again. I'm still looking for a smooth sauce for some chicken parm, but no worries since the menu here has plenty of different sauce options! I enjoyed the chicken francese. The chicken was very tender and it was a generous portion. I felt it could have used a bit more flavor, but the sauce was a nice consistency and the linguine was cooked perfectly. We also enjoyed the complimentary rolls that came with the meal. Overall, I enjoyed this spot and will try more items in the future!

I can start with the service. We were quickly seated, the sever didn't introduce himself and we asked for straws for our drinks no less than three times before we were finally given straws. We also asked our server if they did anything special for birthdays, as I was in town for my birthday weekend and he blew us off rather quickly instead of engaging. For food we started with an order of garlic bread and we were quickly underwhelmed, it reminded us of Texas toast out of the freezer section and we didn't finish it. I ordered the chicken parmesan that came with broccoli, I'll start by saying the broccoli was the best thing on the plate. The food was rather bland and I felt like I could have made the same meal by grabbing a jar of marinara in the grocery store aisle. I wish I had a better review, I wanted to love this place but in between the food and service I was underwhelmed.

I'm in Baltimore for a few days and my mind starts planning to visit the usual rotating restaurant…read morespots. I did a search on Yelp and found I never been to Dalesios of Little Italy? Dalesios of Little Italy has been open since 1984 and has been serving great Italian dishes in the heart of Baltimore's Little Italy. Walking inside, the restaurant is tastefully decorated. It screams old world, European charm with it's unique art adorning the walls. I'm seated in the first dining room, closest to the front door. There's a bar inside this room which adds to the Italian decor. First time here, I don't know the restaurants portion sizes. Is it family style where one plate can feed a small army? The portion size was perfect. I ordered a nice glass of Italian wine and the Scampi & Crab Alla Sardegna. The pasta dish was amazing. The pasta was cooked perfect al dente and the Scampi & Crab sauce was something unique to Baltimore. It's Crab & Shrimp simmered in a cognac, garlic & tomato cream sauce. All of this goodness is served over linguine. I love Maryland Crabs and to have them topped in a pasta dish makes my heart sing. I highly recommend this dish. My waiter was very informative, he made some great dinner suggestions but I first had to try the Scampi & Crab Alla Sardegna. The next time I come I'm going to order the Lasagna!
