However in the time it took to receive our food we witnessed two employees arguing loudly, one server chatting incessantly while the restaurant was slammed and our server vaping on multiple occasions near the coffee pots behind another customer's table. After waiting a while, we received our food and it was mediocre at best with very poor quality ingredients. My omelette was basic and unseasoned, while my home fries were extremely salty and seemed to be from a can. The toast itself was fine, but was slathered in vegetable spread (not butter). My fiancee wanted to order something simple, going for chocolate chip pancakes and pork roll. The pancakes were serviceable, but she disappointingly received bacon rather than the pork roll. Finally, our check out service was nonexistent. It's cash only, as other's mentioned, but once we flagged down an employee she let us know the ATM wasn't working. In conclusion, the Radcliffe Cafe was a pathetic dining experience. The only the reason to come here (if you didn't have the palate of a 90 year old) would be if you loved poor service, abysmal food and a filthy atmosphere.

The only Rose wine on their wine list had to go back as it had a nasty taste...3 of us agreed on that. It was quickly replaced with white wine. House Scotch was a generous pour and very smooth. Martini also good. I thought prices were reasonable on the alcohol. On to the food. Crab cakes were excellent as Bruce recommended. I enjoyed the fish and chips and our other friend seemed to enjoy the meat loaf. I thought the menu was ideal...sandwiches offered as well as dinners. I believe it is the same menu all day...which I like...sometimes we just want a sandwich for dinner. Our server was very good (thank you Christine). It was all timely and not rushed. I couldn't drink or eat anything. It wasn't until the 4th day I could get even a sip of water down I was so tired. I lost 13lbs in 3 days. I'm already a small woman. I thought I was going to die in my bed. I didn't know even what could cause such pain from food I think it was chemical poisoning. I looked emaciated. I couldn't even go to the store because I had pooped myself every time I walked more than a few feet. A friend came and dropped water off for me . I wasn't able to eat till the 10th day. I was able to get some fruit but the moment I tried to eat solid food I started throwing up again and again. I wasn't able to eat real food for 14 days. I finally was able to keep food down. I was living off water and electrolyte drinks for 14 days. I now have a vitamin A insufficiency and every time I stop taking the supplements I have vision problems. It permanently affected my vision. I have no idea what it was. I hasn't eaten anything all day besides an orange and water. I came here because they were open when I was done moving my storage unit. This was the worst food poisoning I ever had I even pooped my bed in my sleep. I was laying on towels ever night so I could just wash them. I wouldn't go here if you value your life or eyes.

The booths and tables look much roomier. Food wise I stuck to simple two egg breakfasts. Sunny side up and scrambled with potatoes and I tried the hot sausage which was ground with hot pepper flakes and oil. It was a big portion with the sausage and came to about $14 and change. The eggs, toast and potatoes with no meat was a couple dollars less. Breakfasts included coffee which was a simple diner roast. The staff was friendly and kept stopping over to check on me and keep my coffee topped off. Overall, I liked the ambiance and felt like I had gone back to the 70's-early 80's with the decor and MGK classic rock playing over the speakers. They are cash only, but have an ATM on site.
