Our first time here and it was so disappointing. We were waiting 40 mins to be seated, place was incredibly small. Restaurant did not have a working bathroom which I'm pretty sure violates some sort of health regulation.. so we had to go next door just to use the restroom! We sat down and the silverware was dirty, placed our order and didn't receive our food for another 40 mins. Service was terrible - waitress barely checked on us. I understand it's busy but the place literally has 10-12 tables in the entire place which isn't a lot at all just to check in with your customers. Food was bland to say the least, definitely overpriced, and extra charge for almost anything! Finally we pay for the check, and to sign for the receipt we were given an iPad that was cracked beyond belief. So embarrassing, stick to pen and paper maybe ??? Huge fan of Soul Brew. From the second my wife and I entered the door we were warmly welcomed. One of the owners, Jeff, took time to give us a little history of how the restaurant came about. While we were there we had the ginger carrot soup and shared a sandwich. Everything was fresh and super tasty. I had a great cup of coffee, wife enjoyed her tea. Was excited to try this place. Finally did last week. There was no wait (there happen to be an open table for 5 people). While we were acknowledged right away it stopped shortly after. Food took very long to come out, the server we had didn't pay much attention to us. We constantly had to try to grab her whenever we needed something (coffee, sweetener etc) The food finally came out and I must say it was delicious! Very impressed. Best omelet I have ever had. While my wife didn't want to return (because of the service) I wanted to give it one more try and we are both glad we did. I happened to be in the neighborhood and decided to go here after a recommendation--so glad I stopped in here. They have delicious coffee with tons of different flavors.Their food was alright but the coffee was the best part. I tried their avocado toast and chocolate peanut butter iced latte. YUM! This is a great lunch spot. Come early or after the rush so you're not waiting. The Tofu sandwich is probably my favorite (no meat) one. In my opinion it has the most flavor out of the vegetarian sandwiches. Order with a side of fries and a coffee and you have yourself a nice $17 lunch. read more

Went out to brunch here with my sister's. The place is so small that waiting around for a seat is kind of awkward. None of the tables are set up for more than 2 people as well so this place wouldn't work for even a small group. I would probably stop in again with only one other person because the food was really good and the place does have a cool coffee spot vibe. The art on the walls looks like it might be for sale but IMO most of it looks like a 2nd grader painted a picture. For a café, I was expecting more knowledge of beverages from staff. The flat white I got was served in too large of a mug and with not even an attempt at latte art which was honestly disappointing. Still tasted good though. The coffee in the big urns is not hot enough. They use the same filthy towel to wipe the counter, make coffee, and dry clean silverware?!?? There is no adult management presence. Went here on this snowy Long Island day with my girlfriend. We didn't wait long till we were sat and were immediately greeted by the server. She was kind, upbeat, and very helpful on our selection of coffee. I got an egg sandwich on the whole wheat toast which was delicious and my girlfriend got a wrap which I can't recall the name of, but also enjoyed it. The coffee was great and the decor is always interesting and enjoyable to view. After seeing pictures on instagram Ive been wanting to go to Soul Brew for awhile now. So today was the day I met a friend for breakfast. I had avocado toast (average) and loaded tots, which was the best part of my meal. But to be honest the sound of the blender while they were making smoothies was so loud it was hard to have a conversation.
