The mountains took about an hour and a half and the rips/flowers took about 3 hours. I am sure I'm not the only one who thinks it might be a little awkward to sit there with a new tattoo artist, thinking what are you going to talk about, are they going to be cool, etc. All that went away as soon as I met Kenny. I was referred to him by a good friend. He's always very professional, really down to earth and he's a great designer. I came to him with a concept and he beautifully executed the vision I had in my head. With the mountains, I just wanted an image of something that already existed...fort the flowers only had the image in my head to go off of and Kenny hadn't done many "rip" tattoos, but I couldn't be more happy with how it came out. I am obsessed every time I see it. As long as he's an artist I will continue to come to him.

Big Bear tattoo was already pretty highly rated, and they accepted walk ins. So I popped in early afternoon and met Jareth, who did an outstanding job. Super polite, really eager to do the art, and was genuinely interested in what I was having done (it's a mathematical equation, basically). Zero issues, pain free and it looks great. Fully decked out in our moto gear, we walked in and were immediately welcomed by all the artists. They were already working with other walk-ins but told us to swing back in about an hour, so we hit the bar next door to kill some time. About 45 minutes later, we headed back to BC Tattoos, and the artist Kyrie was ready for us. We showed him our tattoo design, and he got everything set up right away. While he worked, we had a great conversation about dirt bikes and food--our two favorite things! Clean shop, excellent tattoo work, talented artists--but most importantly, just awesome people.
