Mother's Day dinner at Soulwok was honestly such a pleasant surprise. We ordered the honey chicken, General Seoul chicken with broccoli, the half & half drink, berry lemonade, and a virgin mojito -- and everything had really good flavor. The broccoli was still crisp (not overdone at all), portions were HUGE, and we had enough leftovers after splitting two entrées between three people. Now listen... I'm used to a more luxe dining experience but for what this concept is? They did a really good job. The staff was warm and attentive, the food came out quickly, and there was no pressure to rush through dinner or give up your table. The early 2000s throwback music had me in full nostalgia mode the entire time A small thing to know beforehand: * Forks and straws are already provided * If you want a spoon or knife, just ask What I really enjoyed though was the concept itself. It feels like taking the familiarity of the neighborhood carryout experience and elevating it into something more intentional and community-centered. The blend of Asian flavors with African American influence/storytelling makes the brand feel distinct and memorable. And based on the amount of carryout orders flying out while we were sitting there... I genuinely would not be surprised if they expand to a second location soon. If you want an affordable dinner spot with generous portions, good flavor, casual vibes, and a relaxed atmosphere, definitely check them out.

Honey garlic chicken

I've been saying to try this place for soooo long. Went on a Saturday and planned to dine in but the air conditioning was broken :( I ordered the honey garlic chicken with fried rice instead of white rice. The entree was seasoned very well and battered perfectly. The owner confirmed that all chicken dishes use white meat only, which is a plus for me. The fried was rice was just okay, but there was tons of it. I ate of off one container for at least three days. I sampled the monster steak and cheese egg roll and it was delicious! Will definitely give this place another try, but for carry out only.

Soul Wok via UberEats

I was happy to learn that I could order via UberEats from SoulWok. I enjoyed my in-store dining experience and it helped shaped my delivery order. An order of fried rice and jumbo wings was enough to share among two people. I'll admit, the sauce for the wings tasted better when I dined in. My order arrived in a cute reuseable, insulated bag that kept the temperature of my order. All items were packed safely, and as ordered. Looking forward to dining in again to continue to explore their menu.

The parking was so packed because everyone was inside of Soul Wok! I decided to give them a try. The inside was clean. The wait was an hour because of the long line, however, I was patient waiting in the car. The staff were very kind with the dinner Rush crowd. I do feel like the food was worth the wait. We got a few dishes and each one of them were tasty. They had sizable amounts for my family dinner.

Tasted even better the next day cold. I ordered the sweet chili wings to go. Huge pieces, I'll probably have them for a few days.

Soul Wok and Mambo Wings, steak/cheese and shrimp/cabbage rolls, lo mein

Second visit ... most def NOT my last. Had to return so the hubby could sample some of the goodness I've already sampled. This trip was for the wok and mambo wings, steak/cheese and shrimp/cabbage rolls and the lo mein. I LOVE everything I've ordered from here. Wish I could afford to come weekly. This order was $60 ... not sustainable on a regular for me, but soooo worth it this time! Also got a half-n-half for hubby. Just like me, he LOVED e'rything; but favored the shrimp/cabbage roll and the wok sauce wings. This trip was on a Thursday afternoon and you can tell they were already pumping by the number of carryout orders (in super cute thermal bags, btw) waiting to be picked up. GOOD FOR THEM!!!! PLEASE treat yourself, tell them you saw it in Yelp and share YOUR opinion.

I really enjoyed the new chicken cheese, monster egg roll and the dragon shrimp and chicken! They have great customer service and plenty of parking. I highly recommend that you checked them out. This is one of my new goes to Chinese spots in PG County.

Visited here and would agree with the FB promotion that food is very good. We ordered the mighty shrimp egg roll, Soulwok wings, and the Singapore noodles minus beef plus extra vegetables, and Dragon and Phoenix which is Orange chicken and sweet and chili shrimp. The egg roll is like a meal by itself; skin was crispy and egg roll stuffed will all the goodness on a shrimp egg roll 7/10. The Soulwok wings were hot, fresh, and flavorful! The sauce was sweet and savory, and crispy 9/10. The Singapore noodles was a large portion, flavorful, and good 7/10. Lastly, the Dragon and Phoenix are two staple Chinese dishes married on one dish; Orange chicken and sweet chili shrimp. Chicken was tender, fresh and delicious 8/10. I would love to see a pair with General Tso chicken and the shrimp dish. The portions are shareable unless you are just hungry and have on stretchy pants. The customer service was great, thank you Miss Dess! I would visit again and thanks FB for the referral.

I ordered via DoorDash. My food arrived in the cutest little temperature safe bag. I ordered the Singapore Noodles. These were the BEST Singapore Noodles I've ever had. I've enjoyed it from different restaurants, but this by far was the best. The portion of beef, chicken, and shrimp was very surprising (in a good way). There was no way I could finish the meal in one seating. Less than half of the container filled me up. Portion size is absolutely amazing!!!! Next time I will have to go to the restaurant in person to feel the dine in experience.

Soul Wok is a tasty delight and the perfect spot for lunch. We stopped by on a Saturday hungry and ready, so we ordered several items from the menu and every choice was a hit thanks to spot-on recommendations from our server, Christian. The restaurant is small but constantly buzzing with takeout orders and guests dining in, which only adds to the energy. Don't be surprised if you strike up a conversation with other patrons while you wait good food brings good people together. If you're in the District Heights area, Soul Wok is a must-try.

My mom wanted to try this place so we went this afternoon. The service was very friendly and very fast, they didn't give us the hot towel for our hands which is no biggie but I was kinda looking forward to it. We ordered the cheesesteak egg roll and the shrimp egg roll for appetizers. They were huge, i only ate half of the cheesesteak one and that was a straight missile. My mom loved the shrimp and the cheesesteak one. I ordered the surf and sizzle. Initially it was kinda dry but all the sauce was at the bottom. It was cool all in all nothing too special, I think for me personally I would like it more if it was in the brown sauce. My mom ordered the Singapore noodles and she loved it

Fried Rice and Shrimp and Broccoli

I love this place! We went tonight and both the meal and the service were excellent. Zion was our waiter, and he was fantastic--very attentive and communicative throughout the entire meal. He even asked if we wanted our condiments before the food came out, which was such a thoughtful touch. We ordered the giant shrimp egg roll, shrimp and broccoli, General Tso's chicken, and a virgin mojito. Everything was hot, fresh, and delicious! The shrimp egg roll could use a little more shrimp, but overall everything was perfect--and affordable!

This is a delicious matrimony of southern comfort food and Chinese food. The cheesesteak egg roll was ginormous, delicious, and crispy. You'll love the dipping Yum Yum sauce. They could added a tad bit more cheese tbh but nevertheless still exquisite. The appetizing Dragon and Phoenix entree is a culinary masterpiece. The spicy shrimp awakened my taste buds and General Tso chicken put me at ease. The portion are hearty and generous. Ensure self care by introducing your pallette to sweet donuts. It's always appropriate to eat sweet before savory. Soul Wok is a hidden gem

The egg rolls had a light & fresh taste. They were , crunchy & most of all not greasy! The shrimp was a nice small/medium. The general Taos Chicken was very good. My ZIP Code was finally added to the delivery area and I am so glad that I finally got to order…read morefrom this spot because I have wanted to try their food for the longest time. There are certain ZIP Codes that they are able to deliver to all the time but they've been rotating the other ZIP Codes in the area so that they can expand their clientele and it was finally my turn. Lol. This place is a delivery based business so I can't comment on the ambience of the location as the only way to get to food is to order delivery via their Square site which is pretty straightforward. The delivery driver was very nice and she called prior to arrival to give me a heads up as I ordered early in the day and my delivery estimate was between 645 and 715. She arrived right on time. Now to the food. I ordered six wings with a side of fries, the general Moe's chicken combo with some fried rice, and to Palmer Parks, which is their play on an Arnold Palmer. The chicken wings were well seasoned and extra crispy. They come with their own version of Mumbo Sauce, which is spicy and has a pineapple base which is pretty good. It comes with crispy crinkle fries, which were good. I ordered the spicy general Moe's chicken which had a nice kick to it, was very flavorful, and moist. The shrimp fried rice was good and reminded me of your standard carry out shrimp rice. The combo came with an eggroll that I did not get to try as I wasn't sure if there was pork in it or not and I don't eat pork so I gave it to my brother. The Palmer park was a good half and half and I think my only complaint about it is that I could taste that they had used the bottled lemon juice with an extra sweet tea instead of lemonade, so it had that bottled lemon juice taste , but it was otherwise solid. All in all, when my ZIP Code comes around in the delivery pool again, I'll definitely be ordering food from them again and look forward to seeing the other selections, but they come up with as their menu expands.

While the initial service was fine, the woman was polite nice check my order everything was great…read moreuntil I picked up the food. Everything changed once I had the actual food while she was still nice. The food was not. I ordered something I thought was fairly simple sesame chicken with white rice and two spring rolls, when I took the spring rolls out of the package they smelled kind of like old grease but do you know Daniel grease? It's around a while usually not that big of a deal it was that big of a deal. It's very hard to get any kind of sauces even if you asked for a lot and offered to pay for more yeah you're getting one or two the sesame chicken was the oldest driest chicken I have ever had it tasted old, those two packages of soy sauce was not enough to even make a dent in how dry it was and Hard it was an edible so I drove all the way back here. Do you have the same woman who was as nice as I guess she could be laugh at me, would I recommend here never not for anything not even to come in out of the rain. ANYTHING would be better that what I was sold. While people were in the store she states I only had a couple of pieces of chicken however when I was insisting the food was not edible when she counted it. There were six pieces. Well I tried chewing on three pieces. The first and second I thought maybe was just a mistake by third I knew for sure it was all bad, old dry hard. I had already thrown both spring rolls out as there were oil grease smelling and chewy the package of duck sauce did little to help them maybe more duck sauce could have improved the taste however the texture would have still been an issue. It could simply be because I am white I was given the food that was slated to be thrown out. This place in a very minimal percentage of caucasians. Regardless the reason even thought I had to be laughed at and insulted, oh and I should mention that I was refunded $3 well I did attempt to chew 3 pieces and I had thrown out the spring rolls, I did not bring those up. You should know I was not asking for a refund, I was attempting to express how horrible the food was. The $2 plus her reluctant additional dollar was not worth the effort. I CAN NOT RECOND THIS BUSINESS FOR ANYTHING OTHER than to laugh at and insult you and sell you HORRIBLE old food.
