EDIT: These guys are the best. So on Sunday afternoon we had a spring break on our garage door with 2 cars stuck in the garage. We called the company we used in the past and they were closed so we looked for another company. We found Sound Door and John answered the phone right away on a Sunday, we explained our situation and he was able to come out in a few hours. When he showed up he saw that we did have a broken spring and told us what the price would be. The price to replace the 2 springs was more then reasonable considering we were stuck and it was a Sunday. John fixed the springs and got our car out in about an hour and did a tune up as well. I can not use the term lifesaver enough as he really saved the day and got us working so we could get the kids to school and get to work the next day. read more

Saw their truck while stuck in traffic on the 405, called and spoke to Jon. Great guy, had an appointment for me the following week (per my request), their guy came, saw what my brother did (he applied silicone to the garage door shut 9 years ago, including above the door, below the door and BETWEEN the door segments.) Their tech commented he had never seen this done in his 17 years of work. He made quick work of it, and the old garage door opener (from the late 80s, was still working and was quiet.) Second time using Sound Door. In both cases, very impressed with staff, responsiveness, and quality of work. They replaced a 20 year old garage door system. They showed up on time! They gave fair and honest assessment of work to be done, and didn't try to oversell me. Second visit was several months later when the Springs broke (not related to the work they did). What great service! After recently moving into our new house my husband and I noticed the garage making noises and not going up all the way. I had a spring go bad on a custom garage door. John did a fantastic job of accessing the situation by weighing the door to insure he used the correct spring for the job. It was a little harder for him to repair because I also remodeled the garage and the rods were sealed in so he had to cut away some sheet rock to get the job done correctly. while it took him a little longer to repair he still gave me the original rate he quoted. He fixed it enough so my door would work then came back when he had the right part and improved my spring system.
